Well done Julian, excellent results, the fireman was busy at Ribblehead producing some lovely clag for you and Blea Moor is a brilliant place to shoot from albeit a windy place at times, but well worth the walk.
Thanks Jeff. The canon camera has a 20 x zoom - 35mm equivalent of 28 to 500mm! I like these long tracking shots best - its just a hassle sometimes getting to suitable locations!

@@tulyar1043- I used a tripod (I always do) but this is a bit wobbly because the ground was very soft and springy!. Hand holding a camera with 20x zoom would be almost impossible to hold steady. It brings the subject to a tenth the distance away. 30x would bring it to 1/15 the distance away and would definitely need a good heavy tripod!
Look at the shot at 5.20 as the train passes Blea Moor signal box, from the bridge to top right corner - you can see the spoil heaps above the 2.4km long Blea Moor Tunnel.
Great pan and Zoom at blea moor Julian , i was on the same spot as you but decided to head down hill a bit , but was just as windy and cold there , i see you managed to just keep me out of your shot ! . never warm up there even in summer and the folk you see in teashirts brrr, 20x zoom is great if you can hold the camera steady and have got good stabilization, Steve.
Fabulous shot over ribblehead. Obviously found a good vantage point. Did the singling over the viaduct lower the load bearing? Shame really doesn’t look right. But if that means this amazing feat of engineering endures time, so be it 👍

I spent an hour or so sitting at that Ribblehead location in the hope others wouldn't come and block my view. several others did come but were civilised enough to choose their spots without blocking mine! I used my small tripod and struggled to hold it steady!
