This car ran on no-name all season tires. They were rather unstable in corners which is why I several times had difficulties staying in the lane and let go of the accelerator.
The video is great, in that there is no doubt. I am somewhat disappointed in BMW, on the other hand, for joining the 3-cylinder gang. I, personally, do not consider 3-cyl engines to be something we should find on premium brands, regardless of how far they have come in recent years in terms of refinement and power output, much less so when talking about diesel engines. Due to this, in addition to making the 1-series FWD, I can honestly say that I am seriously doubting BMW with regards to its will in maintaining the heritage which defines it as a company. In this sense, I salute your choice of test driving this vehicle, and for bringing light on the recent releases of various brands, and the directions in which they're headed.
If you think 3 cyl engines are crap, check out the new ford fiesta st 1.5 turbo, 3 cyl 200 hp. That's a miniature rocket. I wouldn't buy a 3 cyl though. 😂 But never say never.
I have a '19 X1 18i, with the petrol 1.5L 3-cyl B38 engine. good engine and good power with about 95bhp/L. same opinion as you before I got the car, but afterwards it changed. engine tech has gone far more that what it used to be, try it out for yourself someday, you'll be amazed. very smooth, and sounds great as well.
These are so called Bundesstraßen (Federal Highways) marked by yellow signs. In general there is a speed limit of 100km/h on these roads. But some of those Bundesstraßen are dual lane expressways with a traffic barrier between opposite direction lanes. On those no speed limit applies and therefore have a Autobahn similar status, sometimes referred as "Yellow Autobahn".
@@armeniancrusader301 Off course I know, but it is the same for everycar. They have to put beafier chassis, airbags, detection systems, ... And it all weights a lot more than before. Take a 70's car, it was basically a motor in a tin can
The detuned N47/B47 felt like they were being held back. This B37 (1.5 inline 3) feels like it is giving full power. Which makes the driving experience more rewarding.
The most stupid think on this planet is to measure speed with gps! How the hell is he better and nore accurate than wheel sensor wich is used on cars!! Wtf with this world!!! Btw shit car with this 3 cilinder engine!!

Wow, das nenne ich mal falsche Kosteneinsparung. Das geht schon fast in Richtung Fahrlässigkeit.
Needs some Michelin pilot sport 4S on that one and better wheels also. Those wheelcaps looks cheap on a BMW
Ist ja auch eine Bundesstrasse B3 (neu), mit Kurven Radien und Winkeln nicht für + 160km/h gebaut.
Welche waren denn verbaut?

It is kinda odd FWD BMW but it is fun to drive
and 3cyl, well not the 90s 3cyl engine, this one is smooth and modern

Why is 3c worse than 4?
@@stirbiuliu8048 why blt buy 3cyl
This is a great little car. I think for a base model the 3 cylinder is acceptable.
cockpit with speedo looks oldy as some cars from 90-s
Nice video! How did you mount the phone next to the infotainment screen?
Thanks mate. I just used a sticky pad on the glass back of my phone.
nice video, can you test the Alfa romeo MiTo 1.4 T Jet with 155hp? greetings from the Netherlands!! ;)
Will do at some point. Thanks for watching. Greetings from Germany!
BMW 116D zero executive
Say what???
When you unlocked the car, I was looking for it and was wondering why at front there was a Seat xD
Is that a autobahn or inner Dual Lane road? Because i am used to seeing autobahn signs in blue not yellow which normally are inner roads

Supercharged Magazine ahhh okay, now i understand just a bit confusing. Thanks for the reply!
No problem mate. Even Germans are confused by it :)
1450kg ? Cars are nowadays getting heavy... Why is it that cars started getting heavier since the 21st century began ?
Security features weights a lot
Batagnam ok then.
Batagnam around 20-30 years ago (1990-2000), small cars such as the BMW 1 Series, Volkswagen Golf, etc. weighed around 1000-1200kg.

bigger/more complicated (yet, usually still very reliability, at least with BMW) engines, stronger bodies and more technology.
How do you think this compared to the old 116d with the N47 engine as both have the same power. Is the three-cylinder less refined do you think?

very good :)

Ja, war es
Ja. Die B3 (neu), zwischen Giessen und Marburg. Über 20 Jahre hat der Ausbau gedauert.

Good test, nice car, horrible tyres....;)
Stuoed driver, its diesel, 4 000 max!
1.5 diesel 3 cyl engine? Wtf?? I didnt know bmw even making that crap, I know about 1.5 petrol but this, come on bmw
It's very efficient, much cleaner and it costs you less when you buy it. So, where is your problem?
Far better than that detuned 2.0 N47
BMWs and Audis should not have manual transmissions.
It drove 211 kmh
La Fiat Tipo 1.6 Multijet viaggia di più
erst bei 163 den 5. und bei 195 kmh den 6. Gang reinlegen. Ich würde nie im Leben meinem Auto sowas antun !!
Don't be gentle to a rental ;)
