Thorfinn is Such a Good Guy in this Anime. He's grown over the years
Seeing Thorfinn go through so much hell in his entire childhood and see him smiling like a normal human being is one of the best character developments I've ever seen in anime!

i shouldn’t have expected much wholesomeness to happen solely because this is a gruesome plot but it was still nice that they added small cute scenes like these even if the story is not supposed to be so wholesome.
Everything was going to be turned down eventually by Canute later anyway.
