Hello Canoeists, I decided to show the large Guides cook box because I figured it would be easiest to scale down. Those who typically travel with smaller groups can take less of the items, like cups and plates, and smaller items like mixing bowls, coffee pots and stock pots, but using this model still have a really solid cook box. I appreciate everyone watching and commenting. Cheers. Lisa

What does a full loadout of gear look like for a guided trip? I'd imagine it all gets distributed between all the canoes? I've been enjoying your channel, headed out next weekend on the Delaware River in NJ for an overnight canoe trip.

You should check out good vibes river gear fabric dish drying rack. I just sewed up a version using window screen.

I just recently discovered your channel and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I’m binge watching all of your videos tonight lol.
Is your “camper kitchen” a Woody dutch oven?
I learned about Jane at Alder Stream from a Maine Guide friend of mine (Brian who teaches with Tim Smith).
I own several items she’s made for me. What a pleasure it is to deal with her.
Thank you for making these videos.

This channel is so appreciated! But I have some questions. Where’s the “big daddy” fry pan you mentioned in an earlier video? The reflector oven? How do you dry dishes? Thank you for producing these videos.

Jordan, the big daddy, medium daddy and other cook gear will be featured in the next video. I dry the dishes using the cotton work cloths they sell at Napa auto parts. Some Guides dry some don’t, I dry them because I don’t like wet inside the cook box. I don’t dry any of the cook pots with these cloths, because I don’t want to get them black. I dry Camper kitchens and frypans with paper towels, and then only the inside, so it doesn’t rust. They pack into canvas for the canoe. Thanks so much for following. It really means a lot.

Next weeks video will feature me cooking solo on a river. I rarely do rivers solo but my friend had to work last minute. Stay tuned and let me know what you think.

Hi Lisa, what is the make of that modern day wannigan?

Jordan, it’s called a YORK 200. Made by Joel York who completely flipped the game in the 1990’s when he developed it. Before that they had all been homemade wooden ones. Sadly they don’t make them anymore. But NRS makes a large box that is more than comparable. I actually like the NRS better, I’ve used both, because the sides are straighter. NRS makes them in grey and orange.
