That 395xp saw is a beast great job cutting that wood! I wonder did you cut that big firewood pile with that one saw because if you did I'm going to buy this saw !!
I got one cuz I am thinkin old school tunable carb saws ain't gonna be available in the next 20 years. battery driven, auto tune, and fuel injection is here and here to stay
I'm not changing my bar for the logs, if you want to talk wasteful that would be the time spent changing. Also its not dangerous if you know how to operate it.
While I have to agree with you, I would suppose it would just be like many calculated risks we take in a given day. The safest thing would be to sit in the house all day but we have to work. I'm all for limiting ones risks, so there is no excuse for any of it. I'm no fan of chaps honestly, I dont regret my actions and they probably wont change. Thank you very much for viewing though and your input is appreciated.
@@jordanl5628 that doesnt make any sense. A chain can potentially fly at any given moment. Its not hard to put on bucking pants and a hardhat. Chainsaws are still dangerous and should be treated as such
@@jamesbruinsma7330 I'll put it this way. I see no need for chaps for myself. I keep my gear in great working order and check the chain tightness every few cuts. I've never had a chain fly off the bar on me for the countless years I've ran a saw and I run one almost 8 hours a day straight 6 days a week. I also dont stand directly in the chains path if it were to ever come off of a bar. The only time I find chaps needed is for in tree work but I'm not a tree monkey so I dont have to worry about that.
661 is a good saw personally dont like the balance but they cut well. The 395 being a older design I would expect the 661 to out cut it. Based off the fact that it is its largest competitor, I assume stihl designed it to comply with EPA regulations while also trying to top husqvarna. I think they both perform well and it all is what feels good in the hand.
FINALLY!!!! A great bucking video with the 395xp that's more than a minute long. Great video!!!
Thank you for watching. Much appreciated
Great saw I love the husky saws. I've got two of them and so far they have performed great. Nice video. Be safe 👍

You use a piece of bark to keep the cut open. That’s good original thinking.
Nice video. Watch your bar tip
A damn great video. Hot dog damn. Awesome awesome
Mantap man👍
Is that saw stock and what size bar is on it?
Its 100percent stock and in the video I got a 36in bar on it running 3/8th pitch .50 gauge Oregon LGX full comp

This kid will be deaf by the time he's twenty w/o hearing protection! It won't matter since he'll be blind w/o safety 👓 or worse w/o safety chaps

@strange ghost I'll honestly probably never wear chaps, but if u just buy a pfanner protos it solves the head, ear, and eye protection for you.
Eyes and ears I agree with. No need for the chaps, just dont be stupid with the saw.
