Wow these podcasts are really helping im on my way back heavenly Father Jesus Christ my relationship with them is more important than anything.hes so right she's so right.I have never been right or good nor happy sense leaving the church 30 years of misery.I never judged or had any issues with the church.i actually had a real relationship with God and was the realist.the joy and happiness i had was amazing.
I served my mission with Justin (Elder Brey). He served an honorable mission. He was one of the first missionaries I lived with. He is a great Dad and friend. He is an incredible man. On our mission he always said he wanted a handle bar mustache and to be jacked! More manifestations, Haha! He is one of the funniest guys that is so casual about how funny he is, I love it! I love the group he started called, Heare. I hope that we can support this group and share it with others to help those men that are struggling silently by themselves. Ashly is also a great friend of ours. She is so genuine and kind. We lived as neighbors for a while and we developed a great friendship with her family. I am so grateful that she started this podcast to help inspire people to come back to Christ. -Oran Rose
I love how Justin said that his top goal became to get his family back, once he realized that the things he was doing to try to be happy were having the opposite effect. But even when he realized what was most important, his wife still said, "It's not going to happen." And then he realized, that whether or not he got his family back, he still needed and would benefit from turning his life over to God. And after returning to God, and working through a lot of issues, and becoming a better person, without begging or expectation, his family returned to him. So awesome! Thanks for sharing.
One of the major things I appreciated about being a member of the Church is the honesty, vunerability and the sharing of our spiritual failures and successes. I never had that sense of community and support before. It has enriched my spiritual progress to share these things with my brothers and sisters. Thank you both for sharing. It helps to know we are striving together to keep on the path Heavenly Father has set for us. Thinking Celestial and keeping in gratitude is a daily effort that will pay off for us all.
Yes, we need to hear your stories! I have not gone away from the church ever, but my children have turned their back to Jesus Christ, and to hear Justin’s story, returning to God, helps me understand one of them more. He has a pure heart just like you, Justin! Thank you !

I get what Chris is saying... I was on meth for over 30 yrs, and even when I was on it, I stayed close to the God and the churchs doctrines (even though I wasn't following any) Through those years God kept me safe until I came to my senses to get clean a few years ago. I was spared so many times thru my drug addiction and drug environment. I always believed in God & the LDS doctrine. Believe it or not, I converted one of my drug friends when we got sober. Crazy how life is ....❤
Watching this broadcast is so uplifting to me, and timely. Sister Stone, I enjoyed your comment about being around sober people in Church, and you know they are trying to love everyone. People in our church generally understand what Jesus did for us. We love Jesus. and feel it a pleasure to serve him, I am so thankful for that. I was like 24 when I became a member. One thing I remember thinking, how could a faith group be so influential to ask people to keep the word of wisdom? My experience had been, faith groups continuing to lower their standards to keep their numbers up. God bless you two for sharing.

I’ve lost two cousins from suicide and they were my pals and miss them so much! But I do believe in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and I will see them again because of him! So many struggle with mental Heath ands it’s shows like this that help others share and relate to others! Thanks for all you do
This was beautiful to listen to. We are all different and imperfect. I love what was said about the grass is green when/ where you water it. When our focus is on the savior everything else works out. Not always easy but always worth it.

I had a lot of your podcast to pick to listen to tonight and I picked this one. No coincidence I’m at the lowest point of my life right now. I’ve never been so alone.
I think it's really great how they're centering their testimonies on Christ. I knew from the beginning of my conversion story that the Church isn't perfect, men aren't perfect, Christians aren't perfect. Our Church's culture does project very high expectations. But I just take that as more testimony-building, because I think it's right that God requires things of us. I've been in lots of arguments with people about what Salvation requires. Many people think that simply accepting Christ as The Savior is the only thing you need to try to do. But it's not the point of salvation, it's the Plan of Salvation. It consists of many things, & concludes with enduring to the end (which simply means keeps trying). And then it has the most beautiful, meaningful post-script of all time: We will fail, and Christ performed The Atonement so that no matter what our short-comings, His Grace will fill the gap between our best efforts and being worthy to enter the Celestial Kingdom!
I feel like we are getting better in the church in differentiating between church culture and church doctrine. It's all about love for Heavenly Father, Jesus, and each other. ❤ We don't have to all look and act the same. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I loved how you said being part of a church full of sober people is a blessing. It shows how the Word of Wisdom is "adapted to the capacity of the weak and the weakest of all saints"
It wasn’t until my brother took his own life that I learned 70-80% of suicides were men. Teens and women matter too, and still need attention… I feel Men aren’t getting enough help. ❤ I’ll look into your company!

I'm to be brief. I more read the scriptures and do my own study of church history itself the less concerns I have. I'm +15 years into study and the problem I see if that people stop asking questions and accept certain narratives. Of course not everyone has 3 hours a day to consume scriptural content or read the scriptures because people need to work for a living, but as a current EQP I can tell you that ONLY spiritual experiences bring people back to church. The Lord God of Israel is powerful to save His children for those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit.

My niece committed suicide she blew her brains out. That was about five or six years ago
