I bought an AG95 from Sweetwater a few years ago. Love Ibanez hollow bodies and semi-hollow body guitars! Thanks for the review!

I bought one of these and had Sweetwater string it for Nashville tuning. It's a bit thin on its own (not always a bad thing), but when doubletracked with a regular six-string, acoustic or electric, it slays.
    (:

It's a classic example of "You DON'T always get what you pay for"
Here you get a whole lot more.
Much higher performance/price ratio than the expensive Hollows.

Great value for money from the Artcore series. I have an AM93QM in Blueberry Burst and it screams through a compressor and a Fulltone OCD.

By keeping the playing restrained and focused (yet beautiful), I got a better feel for the tone and what I might achieve.

On the Ibanez models semi-hollow WITH A CENTER BLOCK for jazz for intermediate player...
Which model numbers on Ibanez have the aforementioned description.
    Would really appreciate your response.

At approximately $650, the Ibanez AF95 holds its own compared with the $10,000 Gibson L-5 on which it's based. So, if money were no object, I would go for the prestige of owning the Gibson, which will always hold its value. But I still might buy the Ibanez also as my "woodshed" guitar! 🤑

This is what ive been after... i just wish Ibanez would class up that logo... it's hideous. it's fine on the "metal" guitars but it makes this look cheap... just the 70's logo or script would elevate this guitar 100%

    • @alanking6240

Such a nice creamy and articulate sound!!! I wish you would of told us if you were using any affects and setting that you were using on the amp!!! Sounds so good!!! Every guitar player needs at least one semi-hollow/hollow guitar!!! Maybe one of each!!! Haha!!! Love it!!!

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  ปีที่แล้ว +6

Thanks for watching! The amp was a Fender Tonemaster Twin. All of the tone controls were straight up at 12 o’clock, except the bass rolled off to 9 o’clock, the volume at a comfortable listening level, and just a touch of the amp’s reverb dialed in. No other effects or EQ were added.
      Thanks again,
      Mitch

Franckly this is a no brainer for the price. The only real hollowbody jazz guitars (technicaly speaking) priced for the masses, and really decent, are made by Ibanez.
If you want to find that kind of guitar, there is Ibanez, or you jump at thousands of dollars. Otherwise, you've got a few Epiphones, but aren't as well made in my opinion. Ibanez are more experienced in jazz guitars
Of course I'm not talking about the old Epiphones...

Some of the new jazz tunes sound better with a blend (both pickups) such as "Raul's Cool Above Ground Pool", "Fried Green Tomatoes", just for a few.

Guitarra pra mim tem que ser macia e ter tocabilidade.
