As far as the Tenacious D stuff, I think Jack Black has been looking for the exit for awhile now and this was just an excuse to go on hiatus or retire the band. It's been a hot minute since the D was any good - pretty much after the Pick of Destiny and when they added the whole band (drums, bass, electric guitar) for live shows. Rise of the Phoenix was alright but it kept refrencing P.O.D. as a bomb but honestly its a cult classic. Also the most recent album was mostly forgettable. Ontop of all that, touring isnt as glamorous as people think: you never get enough sleep, you dont see your family, and getting up in front of thousands of people under stage lights takes a heavier toll on your body than you might think. The benelli m4 is one of the best semi auto shotguns. Have had mine for a while and shot it a ton. It’s not cheap at all though and the after market parts are stupid expensive. Definitely a rich man’s shotty

As far as the Tenacious D stuff, I think Jack Black has been looking for the exit for awhile now and this was just an excuse to go on hiatus or retire the band. It's been a hot minute since the D was any good - pretty much after the Pick of Destiny and when they added the whole band (drums, bass, electric guitar) for live shows. Rise of the Phoenix was alright but it kept refrencing P.O.D. as a bomb but honestly its a cult classic. Also the most recent album was mostly forgettable. Ontop of all that, touring isnt as glamorous as people think: you never get enough sleep, you dont see your family, and getting up in front of thousands of people under stage lights takes a heavier toll on your body than you might think. Jack's getting old and he makes way more money sitting in a voice over booth for Kung Fu Panda or Bowser. As much as that Peaches song annoys me, it's probably bigger than anything the D has done.
