As someone who is learning Spanish, I find your videos really helpful. I love seeing the interactions and a real life look at life in the country. I spent 9 days in Puerto Peñasco last month and have a strong desire to visit the country again. Thanks for you videos. Hope you get back to making more in the near future.
Have fun in CDMX! I am sorry, I cannot help but throw out recommendations... In Zona Rosa, you are close to Gabi's Cafe, a nice mom and pop diner (with coffee roasted in house, delicious orange cake and the usual breakfast items). It is on Calle Liverpool in Juarez (on the other side of Insurgentes from Zona Rosa). I also recommend a free walking tour starting at 11 am in front of the Cathedral in the Zocalo (look for pink umbrellas). Our tour was outstanding! We learned much about the history, culture, food, politics and architecture of Mexico and Tenochtitlan. In subsequent visits to CDMX and Centro, we dove deeper into many of the locations that were pointed out on the tour: the do not miss Diego Rivera murals in the National Palace (free if you leave your ID) and Palacio de Bellas Artes, the excellent Templo Mayor museum, the Cathedral, Torre Latino Americano and the stunning Museo Nacional De Arte. I also recommend the Anthro museum (for a broader overview of pre and post hispanic culture - but the Templo Mayor is a very concise introduction to the Aztec civilization. What amazed me about the museum was learning how large the Aztec markets were (now I understand tianguis) and how extensive the Aztec trading area was. If Binx is up to it, you can walk many kilometers along Reforma which is closed to traffic on Sunday morning. We walked from Juarez to the Basilica de Guadalupe (and then took the metro back). Oh yeah - one more thing - Teotihuacan is absolutely amazing (don't drive, we took the metro and then a bus from terminal del Norte). Coyoacan - Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul. Gee, can you tell I love Mexico City? We have been 4 times in the last 4 years and saw, learned and ate so much on every trip.
Did you visit the Great Pyramid of Cholula while you were there? I visited it about four months ago. Unfortunately, the cathedral that the Spanish built on the top of the Great Pyramid was closed due to the pandemic. I want to return to Cholula to see it someday.
I didn't. I just drove past. I wasn't feeling the best that day so I thought it best to keep it simple. I wouldn't mind going back to Puebla and Cholula again, very nice place
@@colibritravel5994 It is bigger at the base than the Pyramid of Giza. The pyramid of Cholula has a good museum. Even though all areas were not open, I still enjoyed it and recommend you see it someday. If you are interested in that sort of thing.
We retire in 6-9 months, looking for medium-small cities, safe, cool temps. We were going to go to San Cristobal de las Casas but the recent violence has us wondering if maybe we should pick Cholula or Atlixco. Thoughts ? Where would you tell your parents to retire ? Thx !…love your videos !
Hi, I live part time in CHolula (since 1996) CHolula (And Puebla) have a LOT more to offer than Atlixco. Much more attractions, culture, music, art... festivals...

I never knew Cholula was so close to the centro of Puebla. Looks like a nice place to visit 😍
Great video as is normal for you!
thanks!

Please tell me you’re going to visit the pyramid in Cholula 😀 - largest in the world. Also, be sure to try the mole and Mezcal around Puebla.
Great Video. You're gonna have a blast in CDMX. Stay safe.
Thanks! :D

sounds great! This is only my second time to Mexico City. It's on semáforo naranja right now, I hope the museums are open!
Every Mercado is the same and every Mercado is different !

I think we are still going to start our adventure in San Cris , we have some friends living there, but Cholula is our next stop.
My next place to spend time. I have only passed through. Is it a place one would spend a while using it as a base to explore the region?
Cholula could be used as a good base!
Enjoyed the video. It seems that you are able to maintain your vegetarian diet with ease in mexico. What if one is vegan? Safe travels ...
I don't know, I'm just vegetarian. I imagine it gets harder but there are plenty of vegans in Mexico!
Damn, can another being live without humans skinning it and hanging it upside down? Bullies of the planet.
YOu should see what humans do to plants... skinning, burning, boilng, it is awful!
Dude, just come back to America.
For what. America is booorinngggg
