- Today Las Vegas Inside & Out is taking you on a tour of a HUGE casino resort way down on Las Vegas Boulevard where it crosses Silverado Ranch: the larger-than-life South Point Hotel Casino & Spa. We have been wanting to feature it on our channel for a long time, and we finally got over to explore it with our cameras from end to end, top to bottom - everywhere we could film we filmed!

When you guys say you're going to explore a place, you sure don't disappoint. That was quite an extensive and interesting tour of South Point. I knew the place was huge but not that huge. Thanks for your efforts and hard work to put this production together, it was very pleasant to watch. Bring on the next one!
South Point may be a few miles south of the main action, but they have so much going on there, and so many things to do, that you don't really need to go anywhere else. Thank you Paula and Dale, for showcasing this interesting 'Western resort'.
South Point IS what the strip WAS.....The strip has lost it's way. Never stayed the night but visited and really liked it. The place was busy and fun.

I hope South Point management acknowledges the terrific publicity this vlog is providing for them! Of all the trips I've made to LV- both on & off the strip - I've never made the five mile trip to South Point. After seeing this that will change during my upcoming stay. Although I haven't had to pay for a Vegas room for decades, this place appears to be worth cracking open my wallet for several nights! Thanks for broadening my horizons once again!
I use to go there yearly for the police games bowling tournaments with my grandparents. I have many fond memories of being a kid running around that place

Local here. We stayed here during a vacation some years ago. Loved it as a visitor. Love it even more now! I would definitely call it our home away from home. Great atmosphere, love the casino layout, friendly staff, wonderful restaurants, free parking. Can’t go wrong with the South Point! Thanks for highlighting this gem! ❤
The drink service is always great at South Point. Buffet is pretty good for the money. Only knock I’d give it is it can get extremely smoky on the casino floor to the point your eyes are red and dry upon leaving. My family and I all noticed it versus strip properties with more updated ventilation.

I love Primarily Prime Rib. They cook it up right …. Slow roasted and you get all temps. Also the table side salad is always fantastic.
Thanks for the great tour of Southpoint. We have gone there several times and have always enjoyed it but have never seen the whole place. They have many old slot machines that other casinos are eliminating. Also one more place to get food is the hot dog cart by the sports book. They are delicious.!!!

Thank you Paula and Dale for this vlog. We recently returned from a weeklong stay at the Southpoint and I can truly agree with your opinion on the hotel. It was a beautiful place; the rooms were kept very clean I especially appreciated having no carpeting in the room. We ate just about all of our breakfasts and dinners at the Garden Buffet. All meals were fabulous. The Friday night seafood buffet was such a treat. My only issue was the casino was a totally smoking area. We were so excited to get our photo taken at the Las Vegas sign!
If I get to Vegas, this is the place I’m staying!

I stay at South Point every time in Las Vegas now. They are great. Especially when Military Bowling Tournament at the Pavilion and the Lanes.

The South Point breakfast buffet is one of our favorites😻👍🍀. The free play offers are amazing. Your casino tour is fantastic & informative. Dale, please send a performance tape of yours to the Gamblin Granny channel. They are having a talent segment & it would be wonderful to see you sing or play the banjo in October at the El Cortez. 😄👍👍🎉
The kind of resort one expects to find only in Vegas, but rarely finds. Much praise to the owner who conceptualized a local hotel offering great value, and a consistent theme throughout!
As many times as I have been to South Point for the Garden Buffet, I never noticed that there was a deli at the sportsbook. I will check it out on my next trip. And BTW, the Garden Buffet does a made-to-order omelette as well as anyone.
In fact, horses do not need competition. People do. Just let horses enjoy their lives. I love them dearly and new how to ride.

Your video is by far the best and most informational of anything out there. None of the other videos even mentioned South Point had a bowling alley. I thought at one time that I wanted to live in South Vegas....this convinces me even more. The idea of having a casino for locals and visitors is so wonderful. I know I would be a regular. After viewing the Tropicana video someone asked me, "are you friends with Dale and Paula." I said, ''I'am now." Wish we lived closer. Great video that sets my heart afire as usual. I stayed at South Point and really enjoyed it. Everyone in the casino was very nice. Love this video. Great views of the casino floor. I love the horse racing sports wagering section. What a very cool place. Awesome video. You guys are the best!

BTW usually in the week before or after Christmas the South Point hosts the whole Budweiser Clydesdale team in the Priefort pavilion with free beer and the opportunity to see each of the team up close. They also have holiday entertainment and music. It’s a lot of fun!!

Ty so much for another great video my husband and I have been staying there at south point the last 5 years we come out to bowl the national bowling tournament when it's in las vegas and a shame you didn't video that arena it's a great place to stay. We got tired of the strip and really enjoy south point thank you again for sharing!

I love South Point! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Been there a few times,but never stayed the night. My next stay definitely will be staying as a guest.
South point is definitely one of my favorite resorts in Las Vegas. It's such a huge resort with so many amenities and it's family friendly.

We have never ventured to South Point...it sure does have everything going for it. When we can get back to Vegas, we will definitely give it a full day at the weekend so we can enjoy the Western feel in the arena. Thanx for showing us....

A great resort
I stayed there last year. Such a great resort and the rooms are so nice and roomy. Hope to see you both review the Gold Coast Casino soon, i will be staying there later this month 😊
You'll have to go back in 2024 when the USBC Open Championships are going on so you can get footage of the Bowling Tournament Plaza next to the Equestrian Arena.
Loved this video! While I ducked in the front entrance once, several years ago, I didn’t fully appreciate the many facets of entertainment SP has to offer. I hear only positive comments from many, many friends and now understanding why.

Always a great video! It makes me long for a vacation. The South Point is a hotel I just found a couple of years ago and I would only mention FREE self-parking....at least the last time I was there. So easy to get off the freeway and drive right in.

Oh pooh, you didn't mention the bowling arena. SP is one of the few buildings in the country with 2 full size bowling centers.

Another great look at something not located on The Strip as most define it. That looks worth an Uber ride to check out some trip, since I no longer rent a car when in Vegas.

Wow I am so sorry to have disappointed you - we truly went to every corner of the place that was accessible to us. All we could see of the USBC Tournament Bowling Plaza was a sign, couldn’t get in, so really nothing we could film. Again, very sorry we disappointed you. We sure do try to be thorough.
Can you help me what happened to the radio station KDWN 720AM? I can't find it on the radio or streaming? I've been a big fan since the 70's when driving into Vegas? Thanks for the help.

South Point is a gem! I've been there twice but never stayed there as it's just too far from the strip. But I've been there for the three B's: bowling, bingo and buffet! All excellent!
