    I wish you'd make a video about choosing the right fabrics for every style. From the cheapest ones to more pricy ones. Im really having a hard time choosing as my options are very limited.

    Here's a quick rundown, wrote this for me but hopefully will benefit you as well.
    1. Don't think you're going to be an overnight success.
    2. Don't start a physical location.
    3. Don't expect to grow your clothing brand with just Instagram posts only.
    4. Don't invest in too much inventory from the beginning.
    5. Don't pay for things you don't need to pay for, stay lean as you're starting up.
    6. Don't wait too long for everything to be perfect, go for it and start getting feedback.
    7. Do set achievable goals.
    8. Do focus 100% online and direct-to-consumer.
    9. Do engage with people on Instagram every day.
    10. Do use Facebook retargeting ads.
    11. Do invest in as little inventory as possible (ties up cash).
    12. Do launch even if everything isn't perfect, there's no way to perfect before launch.

    Launching earlier than we should have set our brand back by 8-10 months. Launch 1st fix later ends dreams. Take the time to make sure the brand-everything that makes up brand, is as close to perfect as possible.

    Timeless information!! I really agree with that “don’t overspend” point. I see a lot of brands go downhill due to this (including my earlier ones 😅 no shame). Thank you!

    This is absolutely the exact right things to do. We have done these things and also in 30 days hired on 52 influencers. They are the social proof of your company. People that want to be there that actually have a say in what you're doing. Thank again! This guy knows what he is talking about. Anyone need help with a name? I'm good at this stuff. My fishing clothing line is called Reeligion. It's not just about that name too. It's about the logo. People cannot get enough of how the logo looks just by itself. If you can get that right then other things fall into place.

    How many designs would you start with? I have a designer who wants to charge 125$ for my first design. I want quality designs, what do you think?

    • @ApparelSuccess
      @ApparelSuccess  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d start with only the designs you’re truly confident in and happy with. So if that means only 1 or 2 designs - then I think that’s better than starting with 10 designs, where some of them you’re really not too proud of.

    why dont you give away those 400 shirts for marketting

    • @ninja_tony
      @ninja_tony ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't answer for Rob, but if it were me and I felt that the initial shirts weren't up to a high enough level quality to sell anymore - only compared to newer product, not saying the original were bad - then they likely aren't high enough quality to give away for marketing purposes either. It's not a bad idea to give them away, but if your newer product is significantly more improved, then the initial run of shirts won't be a good indicator of what your brand is all about.

I’m launching with 4 designs and a couple hats to start. @CINICartistcollective on INstsgram. I’ve been putting it off for months trying to get things just so, but I’m gonna just do it and see where it goes.
