2nd Round steal. Christian Scott has flashed his immense potential & stuff but has encountered bad luck to start his MLB career. While our position player prospects get most of the hype Scott leads a group of ascendant young Mets pitchers with electric stuff. Blade Tidwell & Brandon Sproat are our two last 2nd round picks prior to this year & look like absolute steals. Both appear to have ace potential. The future is bright Mets fans!🙂👍
The best thing I can say about Scott is that he throws strikes, sometimes too many, but Sproat is on another level, ball flies out of his hand, he can really spin the baseball, hope they call him up in Sept.
@@MrBooson Jonah has exceeded expectations but while he is rising he still needs more experience & refinement. Tidwell & Sproat are probably going to arrive within the year. Both of them could be top of the rotation type starters
The METS Liked Brandon Sproat So Much They Drafted Him in Back-To-Back Years. Interesting to see if Sproat gets promoted to (AAA) Syracuse for a Few Starts this Year inwhich if He performs Well could see Him Possibly Compete for a Rotation Spot in Spring Training.
We got our answer. Depending upon how his arm feels and his innings count, I would not be surprised to see him up with the Mets in September, which is pretty impressive. Could even see him brought up in August if needed. We would need to add him to the 40 man spot roster and not sure the Mets will want to drop any of the players off of it, though would think that losing DJ Stewart should not be hard to swallow
Sproat also has a slider but he has to work on other pitches. He definitely has velocity on the fast ball and seems to be able to locate it well. I never county my chickens until they hatch so I'm gonna wait on Sproat but he does look promising.
Bring him up NOW! Another spark wouldn't be a bad thing and who knows maybe he never sees the minors again! All these other teams are bringing A and AA players and are having huge success so why not us?
@@PHN-2024 did I? It's exciting to have a prospect this dominant in year one. The hype is approaching Skenes level. That is hardly me anointing him. Relax.
We knew we had a good prospect in Sproat....BUT this may be a GREAT PROSPECT approaching Top 10 in baseball if he keeps this up ⚾
I can't wait for this season's September call ups.
This kid is effortless. That is a _very_ good sign.
THE SPROAT GOAT

Sproats delivery looks effortless actually unreal.
Looks similar to Harvey.
Those are some funky uniforms
This guy lasted until the 2nd round??? The ball explodes out of his hand
If Sproat can advance to the point where he strikes out every single hitter he faces, .. he likely will do well in MLB.

Thr question is whether or not he gets to the bigs THIS year

Or Ben Gamel
He clearly has the stuff. I hope he has the Harvey or deGrom dog in him!!!!
Mets drafted him twice. They stalked my guy and happy they did
@FittedInThe798 he's a beast. Closest thing you can get to a guarantee in a sport with no guarantees.

Praying that Brandon Sproat pans out
Very similar delivery as Harvey.
Bring him in to rotation.Mets need pitching in 2025. Mets still have t a very good fron line pitcer
Looks a lot like Ron Darling
Got a good feeling about this kid...
Same, ball really flies out of his hand, he is better than Peterson and Megill right now.
@@jake4919 he's electric
Kid reminds me of George Kirby. He's gonna br so electric
George Kirby?

Go Gators
He's skenes level practically
Has anyone seen Sproat’s Girlfriend Yet? Then We can compare Him to Paul Skenes.
@@PHN-2024 he will have any girl he wants if he keeps pitching like this.

Baring any serious injury, SPROAT will develop into a better pitcher than CHRISTIAN.
We do not need him. We just signed the worst PITCH ER in baseball. Are you kidding me
