    My 2011 pete cm871 had exact same issue when I bought it off a guy. But mine was just extended crank with low pressure code on dash

    Man good info. I’m having that same issue but I can’t figure it out yet. My prime pump is working and I’m getting fuel out the small cable where u say u connected the pressure gage to. Idk how much pressure but when I push it in with a screw driver it bursts out. Any ideas how I can continue trooblshooting it? Thanks 🙏🏽

    So I have an 870 ISX I just ran a bunch of diesel clean through it and hooked the lines up into a Jerry can I have a injector knock at about 13 or 1400 RPM and maybe a little bit of a misfire when I pinch off the return line the injector knock and the misfire completely goes away .... Now if I had a pressure gauge I could easily tell whether or not the injection pump is going bad but does that sound like a possibility.

    What would cause the truck to just turn over for a long time before starting?also there is oil going to the fuel what would it be?

    What is the pressure port below and left of the mechanical pump your checking. I have 290psi at that one and 0psi when running at the mechanical. 15psi at mechanical engine off using only lift pump

    My truck doing the same I replaced the pump still the same problem, took line off no fuel coming out of line and transfer pump does come on....could it be a pick up tube?

    Can it be the fuel pump if my trucks acts like a misfire and when going down the road i accelerate but feels rough as the speed increases but when im just cruising it’s okay. Thanks bro

    Well i got à big problème i tests my fuel presure a the same place of you i got 5psi on idle and 10psi on start up the truck Runing good but some Time it got an rufh idle and a code apear and desapeare and my truck doing prety good its more wake up than a x15 550 with 5 psi i think if i change that i going to the moon right up

    My Truck starts but then revs up like doing a regen the shutsdown , mechanic said fuel pressure at 98% , Can it be the Fuel pump?

    Shut the engine down, park for the night.
    Next day try to turn the engine on and it just cranks, no start.
    Check engine for “Fuel Delivery Pressure”.
    Mechanic said it is Gear Pump.
    Replaced the Gear Pump and it still does the same thing.
    Been in shop twice and mechanics can’t figure it out 😞😞

      Ended up being a burnt out relay.
      After going to 3 different small mechanic shops with truck down over a month .. I ended up bringing it to JX Peterbilt dealer and they figured the issue out the same day .

    Hey I have a 2010 international with cummins isx, the truck was staring and running fine i did an oil change as soon I started at the shop it idle a little rough but I though it may got some air and it will go away but it being giving me problems to start, the rough idle never went away until I tie the top cap in the fuel water separator, but the hard time to start keep happening, like 2 days ago I crank it 5 or 6 times for over 15 secs and would not start I took fuel out of the tank and put it in the fuel water separator and It did start and ran fine any idea what it may be? Oh and I just watched your video when I turn the ignition on the transfer pump does make the noise for a few secs

      You may have a crack fitting in your fuel lines, or debris in you fuel tank.

    I've been getting a low fuel pressure warning on low idle once i put it on high idle it goes away. Could it be that the punp is going bad?

    Hi guys, I have a 2010 international prostar Cummins isx with the same problem but my runs, only Cranking get 20 Psi, on less than 15 PSi on the side valve, On the from valve I get 270psi but in hill I lose power, any one knows something about, thanks

    I got 09 isx it rough start to the point that I thought it’s going to shut off and it shaking horribly for 3-5 min and back to normal idling need help if anyone knows what it’s or have an idea thanks and that is every time I start the truck after sitting for a day and it getting worst during the cold season

    2006 cm 870 getting low fuel pressure code but after start up, starts fine. Sometimes will hesitate or loss of power after getting going then rest of day its fine? Today really rough loping idle after starting and bumping up the idle. Couldn't believe our shops diesel mechanic didn't have one of those pressure gauges. Any ideas on that do you think its the fuel pump or is that more of a start up issue. We changed pressure sensor earlier in the week still happening. I dont like the idea of them throwing parts at it till they get it.

      @@taryrai2300 changed the fuel return regulator or solonoid I forget exact name and that fixed it. It's the round solonoid in middle (or just below) of the four actuators.

    you skipped about five steps, glad you fixed this one but the two check valves can cause the same issue you had. 20 psi cranking is correct and in specs, 100 psi running is correct for the compucheck you pointed at, you also have to check the pressure by the engine filter and at the gear pump also,

      @@transport21 go to cummins quickserve and start a free account and use your engine serial number and follow the fuel trouble shooting tree it will point them out for you would be really hard to explain, or do a search for isx location diagram they have one for sensors and such that will show what model you have, 870 2150 2250 etc, but basically one is top left , other is bottom side right botton facing down, top left is facing out, you also need a compucheck fitting with a low pressure gauge and a high pressure gauge, the fitting out the back of the pump will be 300 ish psi, so dont blow your low gauge with the pump,

    My Truck Runs Fine With A Full Tank But When It Gets Under Half A Tank......It Starts Acting Up.
    Acting Like There Is No Fuel In The Tank(Check Filter On Dash).
    But When I Fill It Back Up, Everything Works Fine.
    Had Tanks Cleaned And Inspected Due To Being Dirt......But It Didn't Fix The Problem. Help.

      Pickup tube cracked. Just had a truck doing the same thing... replaced pickup tube and no more air in fuel system

    I have an 05 Cummins cm870. Starts right up but then 2-4 minutes later it dies and throws white smoke. Any ideas? You can hear the transfer pump working fine. I’m scratching my head trying to figure it out.
