I love Walter and was rooting for him the whole way, but Randy failed to observe and understand what Francois was doing. He converted to a 3 step delivery on the right lane to keep his ball speed slow and was using his normal approach on the left lane. Talk about versatility! Francois has a ton of talent and is one of the silkiest, smoothest bowlers since Pete Weber. I easily see Francois bowling into his 50's and having 40 plus titles before his career is over.
Agreed, Francois' has a ton of game. You're right, Randy didn't mention it but he didn't go to 3-steps it's 4. He cuts off his first step so it's a modified 5 step. And not necessarily to soften his speed but because he's up against the ball return. You often do that when you get in front of the return as well.
Actually you are absolutely correct. He went from 5 steps to 4 steps on the right lane. I thought it was three because his first step was so tiny compared to a normal 4 step delivery. He is a real smart kid with a great head on his shoulders. One of my new favorite modern bowlers.
It misses the pins in the back cause to leave the pocket 7-10 the ball hits full pocket hitting the 8 pin but this one it hit the pocket and went right taking the 9 out but not going left flush through the pins getting to that 8 pin
would have been cool if they had this die back in the day when lanes were oil with machines and then director of the tourneys went back out there with bug sprayer, towels dip in oil and mops .....would have scared a lot of people away from even entering tourney ;-) What I would do to be in early 20s again and on going back out on tour with all the level synthetic lanes, all the knowledge of drilling and now even the oil pattern(s) right in front of your eyes. Allowing you to physically SEE the patterns breakdown and carry down or breakdown :-(
I donno what happened to Belmonte.. But he did not won anything this year.. I feel bad for him... Btw hes a good and nice player, I donno why people hate on him. Im thinking that he already an amazing player at Bowling, thats why he had enough winning the titles. But Im still his big fan. i hope he will won something next year. I'll cheer for you Belmonte. Keep it up. Dont Give Up
I have look at pba records I believe walter ray has more pba titles than any one else he is not the second greatest bowler but the number one greatest bowler in the world
O'Crappy says "hard work beats talent every time".......if working hard for 8 years on tour has landed you 0 titles....you might want to contemplate retirement. It would appear Talent is a necessity. And sucking up to Randy won't help either.
They look like they said a ghost. Kimberly is a reptilian. Go to beginning interview and on those eyes. They don't flicker like that. Try doing it for one minute. U will go dizzy
Is that a mastermind brainiac Walter Ray is throwing? What kind of surface does he have on that thing, very dull for a pearl ball. Almost looks sanded like the original Mastermind!
i think that's the most interesting thing about him. His not the type of player that are trying to stand out from others, he's not a two handed beast, he's not the most vocal player. he's just a guy who focus on his game and getting result. that' is definitely interesting. IMO.
Zaufa Mohd Uzir I used to love watching Tiger Woods getting excited on TV and he used to have Killer Focus. You can be focused and not be super boring. I fall asleep watching franky bowl.

phil makegs I disagree. They would've bowled just as good blue or no blue. If you can't see transistion without this blue oil then you shouldn't even be out on tour.

i like Walter so much his games .
i'm bowling average 210 point.
Well probably not 40, heh. But currently sitting at 5, 3 of which are majors. He is one of my favorites on the tour for sure.
24:16 WRWJ looked like he wanted to bust out laughing after that Brooklyn strike 😂
probably one of best matches ive seen in a long time!
WBFH1 no
Walter still has one more title left in him.He will be back.
Sure hope so.
This aged well
Unfortunately, no.
4:30 Francois Lavoie goes light and leaves an extremely unusual 7-8-10 split.
7:36 love the MARSHALL HOLMAN react. Holman, then Weber, now O'Grady ;)
13:05 Walter Ray hydrates...
exciting lol
he even had the courtesy of waiting until is thrown to start drinking, in case he made a "Belmo" accidentally, of course
4:24 how on earth do you leave a 7-8-10 from a light pocket hit, what?!
EPICGUYDUDE q
EPICGUYDUDE when you do hit the pocket light the ball will not go left it will miss the 7-8-10 and the 4 pin will go right between the 7&8
It misses the pins in the back cause to leave the pocket 7-10 the ball hits full pocket hitting the 8 pin but this one it hit the pocket and went right taking the 9 out but not going left flush through the pins getting to that 8 pin
Think this was Walters last telecast
Let's go Walter!!🎳
I never thought a 7-8-10 split would happen.
Great final match by Frankie. Way to hang in there against the legend
I enjoy this format.
4:25 WTF
the 2 matches were exciting and very close
Andrew Phillips Mark Roth and Earl Anthony have bowled exciting matches
where is that?
What ever happened to O’grady?
classic final match, a great and great rookie. hope Walter gets his before pdw though, next time...
I think Walter was either in a little too deep or throwing it a little too slow in the championship match. Does anybody else agree.
He whiffed alot of shots tbh.
Is little Franky throwing a back up ball????
23:54 BURN BABY BRUN! 🔥
Man, the shark pattern is tough.
Isn't that blue wood design a bit distracting for these guys? I wonder if any complaints were lodged.
CHRISTOPHER DUNNE that's the oil it's actually very helpful
would have been cool if they had this die back in the day when lanes were oil with machines and then director of the tourneys went back out there with bug sprayer, towels dip in oil and mops

CHRISTOPHER DUNNE blue oil not wood and there are no complaints because it helps them
4:56 Good try Franky !
Dang I was rooting for the old guy. He was the only one in the competition to not get any open frames.
what a tight game
If I was bowling on the shark down the 3rd arrow there's a little bit of friction I'll get a polished ball and throw straight up that friction line
As a 3 handed bowler myself I can tell why Walter lavoie had trouble carrying 3 pins.
jake meyer how do you bowl 3 handed
Wait what
You sir win this comment thread
I like your gowls
Conditions looked damn tough.
Walter ray ... hydrates
Yah I love walter
Way to go, you beat the old guy...
Bien joué Lavoie! T'es bon en tabarnak!
hi im francois lavoie and i am the most serious person on the planet.
Francois Lavoie threw a clutch strike to win the Shark Championship
Andrew Phillips Mark Roth and Earl Anthony have bowled exciting matches
Andrew I really do feel bad
I donno what happened to Belmonte.. But he did not won anything this year.. I feel bad for him... Btw hes a good and nice player, I donno why people hate on him. CruelBerxel < *2hander
CruelBerxel because he cheated
how?
Several occasions he’s done unsportsmanlike things such as making noises with water bottles while his opponents are on the approach
And not just rash he did it to brad Angelo on television as well
I bowl on a league, there was a time I had a 5 7 10 split. ridiculous
I really laugh at Walter’s 3 Lucky Strikes
15:20
I mean they got the wish for talking to the players
I thought Francois Lovoie would have an accent
epik win
I have look at pba records I believe walter ray has more pba titles than any one else he is not the second greatest bowler but the number one greatest bowler in the world
jeanine rondeaupu Earl Anthony is number 1
I’d take any strike messenger Brooklyn left side (I’m lefty) lucky

ok
why do they look so depressed LOL
They look like they said a ghost. Kimberly is a reptilian. Go to beginning interview and on those eyes. They don't flicker like that. Try doing it for one minute. U will go dizzy
I bowl in a kids league I need recommendation on a great spare ball
smiles .a any plastic or urethane
smiles .a PBA skill 2.0
can one really get one of those PBA skills balls to use without being a junior bowler? I would love to try one too
LuchoVena yes you can order them from the Teen Masters website just make an account.
Why they do the same thing are you thinking on getting a ball that hooks. If you are don use plastic
who the fucks idol is randy peterson? lmao
ferrierasfrank
I don’t care what Anybody says . Walter ray throws a lot of flat balls!! Like he’s throwing horse shoes
To

Jacob McCain definitely not unheard of for a lower rev player to use 500 on that heavy of oil
Franky is boring as hell. No emotion makes for bad TV. IMO
i think that's the most interesting thing about him. His not the type of player that are trying to stand out from others, he's not a two handed beast, he's not the most vocal player. he's just a guy who focus on his game and getting result. that' is definitely interesting. IMO.

I can see where you're coming from, but the efficiency of his game is entertaining enough for me.
He's not there for your enertainment. Lmao
if I could see the oil I would be a champ
yagerrocket 5 they go all through qualifing without the blue oil. plus I don't think it would make that big of a difference.
phil makegs I disagree. They would've bowled just as good blue or no blue. If you can't see transistion without this blue oil then you shouldn't even be out on tour.
Walter Ray Williams Jr: 227
Francois Lavoie: 212
Andrew Cain: 208
Matt O'Grady: 201
Francois Lavoie: 204
Walter Ray Williams Jr: 196
Lavoie Wins!
