@@MetrohMan Yep. It really is a homemade swing, but at the release point, he gets it down in such a good position. Like Randy said at the 2021 Players, all that matters is repetition and the moment of truth. And he's able to repeat shots left and right.
Novak's style seems really reckless. And I feel Svensson needs to work on his upper body strength (dunno how his muscles can fare in the long runs). Edit: Nonetheless I like Svensson's swagger. He will be a big name in future bowling.
Dont every count novak out , you may see reckless , but as a friend of his for moany years , he is condsidered one of the top 5 toughest bowlers to bowl against , think he has around 148 300 games won serious money in the top amauture tounreys in the country , he makes about 100k a year google his name and all he has done and you would be very surprised
All of these mixed comments about Novak’s swing, smh. Can he make it work? Maybe, for now anyway. Will it work for him twenty years from now? Probably not. It’s not a natural motion, and he will likely have a lot of pain in his arm twenty years from now, if he doesn’t already have pain. A big reason why people like Duke and Weber can still bowl phenomenally in their 40s and 50s is because of their pendulum backswings. It’s the most natural and efficient way to swing the ball, and you can do it at virtually any age, with very little effort. If I were Novak, I’d swallow my pride and start listening to my coaches. Make the change to a pendulum swing now, before he really messes up his arm.
True that :) pba patterns are a lot flatter than normal house shots. meaning if you miss left it goes through the face (right handed) and miss right it hydroplanes. not easy by any means. ESPECIALLY sparing on the wolf. any side rotation at all will cause the ball to hook away from the spare even plastic.
Try hooking for spares something like this, it's a lot more finicky on flatter shots... This one has a 1.8 ratio, so you almost have to be dead-on accurate.
Thanks PBA, for posting so fast so that the international audience can watch the show!
I watched the show sunday 25th it was great
Garlin Miller
Tommy Jones has one of the top 3 power releases in bowling history.
If talking speed and revs for a traditional style he's nowhere near top 3, that's not including all the 2 handlers. I love TJ too.
my buddy Brandon Novak did awesome proud of you buddy
💀
Enjoying Dave LaMont's commentary...compliments the telecast:)
Congrats Tommy~
i wish everybody had the voice of mika koivuniemi. that would be fun
W2G JONES!!!! One of the best ever.
Svensson seriously deserves a date
Novak the Ron William's throw style?
In 2016, BJ Moore made $48,000.00 and had a recorded average of 223.
I called it at the beginning. Go tommy!!
the first match was exciting and very close
Andrew Phillips Mark Roth and Earl Anthony have bowled exciting matches
WOW. I have NEVER seen an approach like Novak's before.
Ugly but works!

I have never seen a pro lever player throw the ball like that Novak guy. Its totally unorthodox.
14:44 4-7-10?
funny cats it was the 4-7-9 Novak picked up
lession to commentators.
bj is my bowling coach
14:43 Ohh Randy 4,7,10 aint that the 4,7,9
Randy "I can't see TJ missing the pocket for the rest of the game", followed by a string of misses!
"I like BJ Moores chances" yeah if he wasn't storm it'd be different smh. Any storm person that makes tv Randy's instantly biased towards em.
Storm is #1.
Good ol Tommy Jones no selling the title much like Phil Ivey no selling a WSOP bracelet.
sweating like shaq oneal at free throwline lmao 38:59
I REALLY like novaks style
Why? He was the least consistent bowler because of his wild back-swing.
Andrew Conrad yeah and he crosses his body when he finishes
+Andrew Conrad I could beat you At bowling

Im sooo glad they got rid of that hype man
I thought Tommy was more than 38 years old...but Oh ok.
Novak needs to rework his swing. Wayyy to much room for error with all that moving around.
yet he makes it to the final 4? theres all kinds of differents swing and some work. i like seeing stuff like that. brings something fresh.
Should look into Novaks list of accomplishments while bowling. I dont think he needs to do a thing. Not many people win eagles.
Consistency is key.
If that swing works, and he can do it consistently, he doesn't need to change a thing.

Thomas McCarrick go fuck yourself
Thomas McCarrick arsehole
토미존스 요즘에 너무 못친다!!!!!ㅡ.ㅡ
How these professional bowlers miss routine spares kills me! WTF?
Tougher oil patterns...not a house kick shot, it's hard
