Great vid, the Dolphin is a nice explorer indeed. The Type-6 is a nice alternative, more industrial looking. But it gets a bit boring after a while, the Dolphin is more fun. Also there's a pre-engineered surface scanner with twice the radius to be had at a human tech broker.
I nearly picked the Type 6, but for just a few hundred more you get the more sleek Dolphin and a slightly better jump range. I have already recommended the Pre-Engineered Scanner on my heavy engineered Exploration builds, this is aimed at new commanders, and an easy transition from my Cobra MK3 build.
Solid build Daz, I didnt realize the Dolphin had that kind of range. My 1st exploration ship was a T-10, took it to Colonia and back lol, back then I used T-10's for everything, I now use Phantom for exloration, I only get about 65 ly but I can boost to 550 and have 2 SRV's, Afmu and repair limpets, only weapon I have is class 2 rail gun with plasma slug/light weight to burn fuel off if I need to. Great Vid! o7
Sucks that it’s only a class 4 FSD, I just spent a few hours getting the pre engineered class 5 and hoped I might be able to transfer that over. So I suppose now would be a good time to ask is this dolphin build better than a dbx with a pre engineered FSD? I also have a top class A power source thingy (I’m not able to see module names right now, going off of memory), everything else top D rated, a shield generator of a class I don’t remember, DSS, scarab, and all three computers because no mass and I still have both my four ranked optional internals for more if I need them
The DBX has the better jump range over the Dolphin, even without the Pre Engineered FSD. However, the Dolphin has a much better fuel scoop. The DBX has a 32T fuel tank paired with a pathetic class 4 fuel scoop! If you have worked hard to get the pre engineered FSD, I would put it in an Asp Explorer, it has comparable jump range to the DBX but can fit a Class 6 fuel scoop! I have an ASP Explorer build video and a DBX video in my list to give you a build guide for both. The Asp is so good for the money though 😊
@@Wither_Strike Good choice 👍 Here is the link to my ASP Explorer exploration build, it's an older video from when I first started , but the build itself is solid 😎 th-cam.com/video/CIQDdu2EWiU/w-d-xo.html
@@eliteengineerdaz ive gotten back to my computer, and unfortunately i dont have enough credits for that aspx build, but i do have almost enough credits for this dolphin build if i replace the guardian fsd booster with another AFMU so i think ill go with this and just keep my 5A FSD stored until i have enough to get an aspx
@@Wither_Strike Good plan to wait and save up 👍. Once you own the Asp Explorer, you really don't need any other ship for exploration. It will do everything for a fraction of the price compared to the Anaconda and even the Krait Phantom 👍
I have already included a more advanced build in the video description, this includes a Guardian FSD Booster. Even if this was fully engineered it wouldn't yield much more jump range as the engineering is already done where it matters most.

Nice build. Also, you should recomend, not to play in open mode in Deciat, or they could be ganked.
I assumed most people, especially new players, played in Solo mode anyway.
I did not at the beginning. I thought solo play was offline mode. I was so innocent
@@cristobalogalde348 Really, I always played in Solo and still do mostly.
I just don’t play open in general, too afraid of pirates even though I never carry anything

How about a build with engineering
