This - is - awesome! ! ! ! I bash my 4WD Slash hard & often, but I've been wanting a drift RC as well. Dusting off my old set of wheels/tires & headed to the hardware store ASAP! Thanks
Correction: The art of sliding with an E-Brake or a normal brake is called drifting. What you are referring to as "drifting" isn't drifting and it is power-sliding. Many drifters such as Ken Block will power-slide and drift but mostly drifting. Thanks a lot and have a nice day being schooled.
i just got the exact same car you have the slash 4x4 1/16 scale Mike Jenkins edition for christmas. but it caught on fire and sent some pieces back to traxxas
This method just caught on to the Japanese's, now they're doing it to their cheap full scale Kei (pronounced "K") using aquarium grade PVC rings. Noriyaro got a good video on that!
the problem with homemade drift wheels opposed to the store bought ones is they dont have the tapered edges like a drift wheel so it doesn't bite the ground the way real drift wheels have
Great vid mate but this I would not recommend doing this if you really want to get into drifting, the lack of traction will slow you down if you get into real drifting with RC cars, meh it'll give someone a good time ;)
I believe on both of my sidewinder esc's (ones a sidewinder sct for my slash) there's a low power mode on them where you can use nimh batteries but I'm not sure on his
DUDE! the slash isnt ment to drift with but.......... it does offroad and onroad and on water and on sand! so why dont make it drift too!!! GOOD IDEA!!!!
the plan im doing , for my slash 4x4 , because i have proline tires for bashing , so i dont care idf i put some pvc pipes on my old slash tires to make drift tires , since there not made yet for slash.
I really enjoyed this :) Great idea.. and wow, that Slash drifted really well. I wish I had been there to help you film :) Good job!
what are you doing here

Hi
awesome I liked that
I like how the captions say “[Applause]” and “[Music]” when the car makes a moter/scrape sound
Spray the pvc with flex seal and boom! Racing slicks
Cut some furncoe fittings and stretch over tires then you have racing slicks🤔🥴
I just bought a Slash 4x4, and I will have to try this. Thanks for the video.
PUT THEM IN THE BACK TIRES ONLY... SEE HOW IT PERFORMS
if he does this Car does Spin.
Eco-friendly PVC, long live the Industrial Revolution!!
smile more guys makes your whole life better. I know it did for me
Beveling the inside lip will help to get them on. Great video!!
These are awesome dirt wheels! I have a drift trike and I think it would be awesome to have one of these!
Why is this so relaxing
u are soooooooooooooooooooo good at driving rc cars
There's people a loooooooot better
Ikr
You should try mudding with those tires
*not*
The slash wouldnt work there
The drift tires are designed to be slippery and you'll need some good offroading tires to not get stuck in the mud

use a light soap mixture... they will go in super easy and the soap will dry with out leaving a residue. kool idea.
That looks really fun.
Nice video!
Dude you need to make another vid of the 1st person view and drift through an obstacle course!?
That must be a blast, it being 4×4
Just be careful that you don't overrun your Motor from the wheels spinning so fast! Awesome video!
Those look cool I will be sure to try it
love your video. so cool and creative. I may have to do that with my Traxxas slash 4x4 myself. :)
I have a kyosho drx 1/9 and its pretty good drift and rallycar
wow amazing! so good drifting tires for free!
you're very smart aint you?
i just got the exact same car you have the slash 4x4 1/16 scale Mike Jenkins edition for christmas.
but it caught on fire and sent some pieces back to traxxas
that sucks
wow cool roman was right yall are awesome !
This is pretty cool!
That's a very cool idea thank you
What a great video! Very informative.

Around here that's what winters for.
those are BOSS!!!!!!!
thats crazy and i love it
This is sick
this vid just exploded :D soo cool !!!!!!
Great idea!
there are slicks out there... you'd have traction but still would be able to drift.
the problem with homemade drift wheels opposed to the store bought ones is they dont have the tapered edges like a drift wheel so it doesn't bite the ground the way real drift wheels have
nice love it
I will try it
I'm assuming using rear only would provide better control (with an awd)
Great vid
Nice brother 👍🙂👍
he is really getting some angle
roman wud love these
👍👍👍👍
Nice Mod
💡 that idea pvc pipe is great, what you did to my rc serpent cobra gt
looks like fun
Awesome !
THAT LOOKS SICK AF XDD
Dang, that s cool man
Thx
AYYEEE WE HAVE THE SAME WATCH
Brilliant!!
This would work great on the two wheel drive slashes just put the pvc on the back two tires so you can more control on the car
That's what I thought
+Kayaii Xp Or just wait for winter and drift with your Rustler like me.
Good idea
Will it work on 2 wheel drive traxxis slash if so I'm gonna look into it
Would it the 2wd be better at this I know it’s slower and all but still
Take front driveshaft out and have 2wd drifter instead???
That would decrease friction and not drift since rc cars are much lighter than real cars, I think
now you just gotta add some obsticals to drift around instead of just an open area. would make it more challenging.
Would that much spinning not damage the motor?
wdym damage the motor? the motor is meant to spin idk how it would damage it.
That is good
1.2 million views 2k likes ? Seems legit
i want those!!!!!!!!!
have you tried taking off the PVC on the front?
buy some stock rims no foam or rubber and have fun I use it for my savage and work great
I used my stampede with stock tires and it works fine I'm an expert at drifting fyi
that is awsomwe drifts out of contro
SMILE MORE, YOU GUYS ARE INSANE!
Dang thats cool
Great vid mate but this I would not recommend doing this if you really want to get into drifting, the lack of traction will slow you down if you get into real drifting with RC cars, meh it'll give someone a good time ;)
How do you get your GoPro to stay up
1 helpful; tip to make it more driftyer is to rub wax on the pvc
did u get the slash at sumt
Can you use a regular nimh battery on that esc and motor?
I believe on both of my sidewinder esc's (ones a sidewinder sct for my slash) there's a low power mode on them where you can use nimh batteries but I'm not sure on his
the 2wd will work better?
DoubleGrand IZachI Yes
Duh
Nice
thats cool
nice man were can i buy some like yours
Thanks
DUDE! the slash isnt ment to drift with but.......... it does offroad and onroad and on water and on sand! so why dont make it drift too!!! GOOD IDEA!!!!
did you change the suspension
Billy Fouche lol your last name looks like douche... BILLY DOUCHE REPORT TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE, BILLY DOUCHE
the plan im doing , for my slash 4x4 , because i have proline tires for bashing , so i dont care idf i put some pvc pipes on my old slash tires to make drift tires , since there not made yet for slash.
Here's a little hint to get them on, just slip them on. Gg
will it work with 2wd traxxas slash
The 2wd already drifts ok. But yes it will work.
I would of only put The backs on an not the front
but it's awd
Easy to change it to RWD
hte geomentry is not set up for rwd on the suspensions and steering
+Tyler Ballard It's a toy car.
Joe Anthing its not a toy its a hobbie spend thousand on the hobbie
i did it's mental does not behave at all, in a good way
nice
What size it tht piping
awsome
Is it 4” pvc?
For the people who want to do this with a nitro rc car/buggy dont go flat out as soon as you start it because you can damage your engine
Thats a way to stop ballooning
