Wowza... Even your terraria corruption remix was energetic and fun, to hear something as sinister and dramatic as this.... It's an unexpected suprise, but a very much welcome one. Godlike remix. This honestly reminds me of the Mario Wii bowser's castle theme. If that got remixed the way this was it'd be the most dramatic musical peice in the history of gaming.
The subtle details really make this piece come to life. The way it builds up to each drop, the anticipation feeling like you're descending deeper and deeper into alien cavers. The quiet gaming effects (8-bit, perhaps?) in the background at the more piano-y parts adding to the build-up, the way the repetition is never quite the same with the instruments and effects. Amazing job, Qumu! Your work is truly stunning
By far my favorite remix of this song so far, it has a nice 80's synthwave touch to it in certain parts and even some lo-fi hip hop sections that make this a dream to listen to. Love the work!
So I actually found this part of the soundtrack pretty bad the first time I listened to super Metroids ost but once I started playing the game and had the atmosphere and gameplay associated I found it to be an amazing way to add to the experience. I think how you portrayed it in this remix is much more how I felt when listening to it when entering lower brinstar for the first time. This is incredible and I absolutely love it, thank you once again for such incredible remixes

I literally went and started playing super metroid (super fun so far) because I heard this remix. Getting to Lower Brinstar was a bit of a spiritual moment for me.
That's not how it works. This is good music, but this isn't Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory; you don't get a magic ticket to go compose music for a video game studio. What happened with Sonic Mania was very much a one-of-a-kind thing.
I never played a Metroid game in my life, but I always like it. And that remix tell me "play it. Play this game." Qumu, you make an excellent job. Keep it on, buddy.

When I first learned to play the piano, this was my number 1 go-to song that I absolutely needed to learn. And hearing it now just reinforces why I loved it so much
If 7 year old me heard this he’d be screaming because this was one of our favorite themes from Super Metroid. This area too for some reason was also calming for me despite being on an alien planet. This piece totally captures that calmness in my opinion. Nice work!
