This was a really solid recap. As a trainer, I appreciate that you shared your perspective from both a personal and professional POV.

I agree with the water! It's a rule that doesn't account for small people!

Although I understand you train very hard doing jujitsu 3-4x a week for two hours at a time, that isnt what the challenge called for. Obviously, you would have to adjust your training regimen to the challenge so it wouldn't put so much strain on your body over time. I don't think two 45 minute workouts at least 3 hours apart of one's choice is not too much for people physically as one can do whatever workout as long as you are moving your body for 45 minutes. I think you know that, but it seemed important to name here.

Totally agree with you on the water! Everyone’s body has different water requirements based on your size, weight, current fitness level, exercise intensity/type, and other health conditions. I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure 3 years ago. With the help of a great Cardiology team and changes in diet and exercise; I have gone from a near-death 7% cardiac output to a normal range of 54%. One of the issues heart patients face is fluid retention. A gallon of water a day would kill me. I am capable of doing every other part of 75 Hard. But the water requirement disqualifies me. So, I’m doing my own program. One that challenges me, but won’t kill me.🙂

And the two workouts are supposed to be at least 3 hours apart . . .
