Your comment on copying being seen as a crime, I think it comes from previously studying art subjects (or maybe it's just my experience). When you do fine art during a-levels or GCSEs, tracing has always been looked down upon. People always assume that you trace because you can't draw whereas in architecture, it's simply more efficient in scenarios like this to trace over photographs and/or other sources since your proposal is the main focus that you are trying to communicate. Students are almost brainwashed into thinking tracing displays a lack of skill. Loved the breakdown!
Yeah I had a similar experience going from art gcse to architecture at uni, it took me a while to realise there's nothing wrong with tracing for architectural drawings as you're simply using your time wisely!
This is so great! Wish I had your channel when I was in arch school. I love how much you advocate for tracing: I think its time to shift my mindset about it!
Nice work.. But I think there's should be another step to show us! The effects of textures and colors you've used to look like illustrated architecture. Am I right? Do you use normal colors in photoshop or textures or do you add some effecrs to look like your final drawings of palestinian camps?

@@adamdm4111 opting to trace doesn’t even cross my mind at times purely because of what we were taught earlier on in education
Loved the way you break it down and yes you are right about tracing. This has been very helpful.
