Just a tip mate of being a large boat owner and doing consecutive nights out on The Barrier Reef off Cairns. Sleep with your heads towards the bow of the boat. Its alot more pleasant. As the blood will not rush to your head so much. If you sleep offshore with your heads facing towards the stern of the boat its just like being hung upside down if you know what I mean. Blood rushes towards your head. Also have all your cabin hatches open to get a breeze running through. Ultimately with your new closed in cab, I would look into Air Con to make it pleasant at night when you look into your battery upgrade setup. Bloody beautiful Cat by the way mate, great choice of boat. Looking forward to seeing her on the water in the very near future. Aswell as the lads spearing Trout.
Have always loved how you guys are opening your kids eyes to the world and the real life experiences they have had. One day when our kids have had a gutful of us we can look back at moments like this and know we did it right. Loving your adventures - keep sending it
Great new to the show boat can see plenty of good memories made. Can't believe how quickly the kids are growing up living the dream they all will be great divers, fisherman/women
wow that water out there so clear 👍the new boat looks a smart looking unit 👍👍justin use my old wives tail for sea sickness for the fam put the old elesplasta over belly button before you leave land i swear by it 👍👍great epp again 👍👍
Tip for cooking the long tail, that the kids will enjoy more. Take along some brown sugar, kikkoman soy sce, garlic and ginger, plus a little mirin. Make up a marinade to taste, and mix in some bite sized pieces of the tuna, just before cooking on a hot plate/bbq. Don’t overcook it (think salmon), and eat it straight off the plate, or you could have it with salad, in wraps etc. Delicious!
I remember diving there about 30 plus years ago. Looks like it hasn't changed at all. Defiantly one of the best places in the world, enjoy. Probably best to moor up inside the coral coves.
Congrats on the new boat ,,well new to you guys Looks like a couple tents will soon be a addition to stored on the cabin of boat and finding some nice beaches for camping a few nights on for more space lots of prospects coming up I’m sure good on ya all 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Great show mate with regards to share farmers its really bad up this way I live just up the road at Boyne Island and I won't even put pots in the river here as they will get checked for you or even get stolen sick of it wish there is something to stop it. Been to that spot a few times and not sure if you know but there fishing spot just out from the mouth where you get big cobia I think its a wreck or something like that. Good to see family trips. Cheers Andrew
love it been wanting to do this all my life i have got my boat that can handle it but nothing like your set its perfect for shelf fishing were i am at the south east of south Australia i enjoy your videos and cheers your the best family adventures that done more than any one ells that beats them all
Great to see you all having your first trip out in the boat. Its a good job Bec's was ground baiting for your fish....just joking Bec's😉. Cheers for now..
Hi guys if you get one of Coleman hot water heaters you can connect it to your freshwater and have warm showers in winter I also had a cheap microwave but my boat was a 30ft Kevlar cat so a bit more room
When ya havent slept on a boat out at sea before, it is hard to get used to the seal and the noise. You will come accustomed to it and begin to enjoy it mate. That's all I can say but never ever expect a sound sleep like your bed at home. Ally Boats are renowned for the noise that you get through the hull there's no getting away from it unfortunately, even on a 40 footer. Especially in a twin Hull Cat.
Awesome Ep and set up guys Nice pick, My mate had a 7,5m platinum sailfish with same motors and Commercial sponcerns, it was a lovely boat, Great ride good on fuel, and around that 3,5 ton full of full on the alloy trailer
I have watched you guys from the start and so happy for you guy how far you have come I even put a norweld canopy on my hilux after seeing yours well done Justin you deserve it.😊
That was awesome justy loving the new vessel, Congrats guy's. OHHHHH Beccy boo I feel for ya beautiful I get sea sick too, it's Horrible.. Last time I did an over nighter with the bro inlaw down around the haunted house I got rocked to sleep best sleep ever. But once we hit Shore I was wobbly for hrs lmao standing still and still swaying hahahahaaaa 😂 😂 Loving the new adventures 😘😘😘
Hey mate like someone else has said it's great to see the fam again. Billy did well catching that fish, Roo with his fish & fat lip oh well you learn from mistakes & the boat even though second hand looks Fab. & nice sunset & rise. Cheers👍👍👍🚤🚤🚤
Hey mate. I have a boat too but have never heard of this before. Could you please explain why a stern anchor would make it more comfortable? Thank you.
@@Robertye112 Depending on wind and tide, you can usually position the boat so any chop is coming front on. This will get rid of any side slap and sideways rocking motion of the boat.
Get Bec to try some Ginger calm tablets. I am quite prone to sea sickness so I tried some on my last coastal trip in my mates yacht, when I helped him bring her down from Tauranga to Napier NZ last year. It took us about 45 hours. I was able to take my watches and do a brew up down below with out feeling crook. All the best with the new vessel, mate.
@@TripInAVan raise motors slightly if you’re reversing onto a fish but I’d avoid reversing out deep regardless gets a lot of wash in the motors/rear deck as they’re quite tail heavy boats. Full trim down will get you the highest speed. Use some WD or lanolin spray on the motors with the cover off, helps keep the salt off the engines with the reverse in swell/chop it’s inevitable even stand still. When anchored or on a mooring I trim them up a little too. Otherwise full send! You’ll love it great for the fam 🤙🏽
Very keen to find out which way you go with small electric motor. I enquired for my sf 2800 and was advised it would probably struggle. I have 225s and use less fuel than the 150 option Great boat. You will have so much fun
Great change up mate…. Looking forward to this change up to a decent boat and some back 2 basics type stuff with Bec the mermaid! You guys loving it in Hervey?
Can I please get the name and make of the boat? Definitely interested in which card are you towing it with the 300 or the 200 and what’s it like towing?
Grab some Autosmart AQUASEAL SiO2 to spray over your windows mate and stop that salt water sticking to them aswell as the AUTOSMART range of Boat washes to keep her in mint condition. Let me know how you go.
good to see families growing together, my kids are grown but good memories raising them outdoors
Absolutely
Great to see you all back together on a trip wonderful memories the kids will have ….
