Fig Variety Review: TD Yellow Crinkle

TD Yellow Crinkle is a fig variety that tends to have a wrinkled, or crinkled, skin when it ripens. Although its called Yellow Crinkle, it started to develop some purple coloring once it was fully ripe. It has a good berry flavor, but it can have an open eye that is somewhat susceptible to cracking. As such, I think this is a promising variety for dry climates like those in the west, but might not be the best for wet/humid climates with lots of bugs.

Open eyes close…as the tree becomes more mature….I would love to see a second review of this one for sure.☺
