7 years ago. I taught my boyfriend how to play guitar. Those moments became one of our best time together He really tried so hard to learn this version. I really saw him struggle coz he has a very short but cute fingers that I love to hold so much HAHAHA ❣️ He said he wants to play this song like Sungha does for the love of his life. Hahaha that's why I'm happy, But I also can't help myself but cry watching him played this song for my friend at their wedding last week.

hi I recently played this song with the classical guitar for my last recital. I was teary eyed while I was playing this. I really wanted to do music but I can't they told me that there's no money in music. Thinking that it was my last piece, I knew I'm never ever going to play the classical guitar again like I used to--- or how I used to be. And to tell you, I miss it. I really missed music. Whenever I think about it, It makes me cry. That's why to everyone out there who wants to pursue music, do it. Don't ever let anyone stop you. You'll regret it your whole life. I want to give music another shot but I can't.
Lia Kim Give it another shot. Unless your hands are broken from an accident or have a degenerative disease like arthritis there's no reason not to play music at any age. You might not become as good as you could have been, but it's better than not playing music and just wishing you were. Seriously. And even if there's no money in music, the joy you can experience by doing something you love will uplift your energy and make you happier and more productive at work. And if you're more productive, you'll probably get promoted or get a raise. That's how music can help you earn more money. :-)

This song Sooo brings back very sad memories that my little sweet girl of 7 yrs. died, then i wld. dance all the time (ballet) for her when she had cancer & no matter what time of the day it was, it seemed this was her favorite song. We also had two bunnies. They are most active during the evening, & early mornings =..I danced for them too & they wld. just look like they were having the time of their lives. Recently, on April 7th, & May 7th one was a boy he died then the next month because she was lonely & didn't realize he wasn't coming back... she died. I think i have cried a river of tears. But, at least i have the Lord & he gave me them in the first place. I will miss them tremendously..

I've been playing for a bout 3 months, practicing this song for just over 1 month, i got the intro - 2nd chorus, those parts sound almost like him, but i still struggle with those bar chords for some reason.
BobbieChan bar chords ARE rough, they require certain muscles to be used that quite frankly most people don't use in everyday life. Just keep working on them and you'll get it eventually.
The song is not very hard in my opinion. (I'm not saying Sungha Jung isn't good because obviously he is) All you really have to do is look up the tab and learn from the video I do it all the time.
I have learned this song by practicing for just 1 week , check out goliathguitar tutorial , it's really easy , you just need to be patient , the normal guitar version is very easy though.

Not sure if crying because this is so beautiful or because I've been playing for almost 2 years and only know 6 cords. I can play a few songs but I can't afford a teacher... Fml
I've learnt the classical guitar for around 7 years now and I'm still on year 12 level. Acoustic for about a year, I'm decent, below average though :P and electric for a few months. Besides classical guitar, I've self taught :D well not really...I just go on youtube or the Internet :D it's free and accessible. Yes it won't be the same as having a teacher Irl but you can pause, rewind and stuff to enhance your learning. :D And always remember, don't look at how far you have to go, you should look back at how far you've come. A guitar and passion is all you need. You say you only know a few chords but most songs only require like only 4 at minimum. Finger picking like sungha Jung is a totally different thing for another day. Continue learning more chords and learn more strumming styles and you've already become a great guitarist :D then if you want, there's even a video tutorial that teaches you how to play this song sungha jung style :D I hope I'm not going on too long but to be honest, time doesn't matter, I think quality matters more :D practice :D I dunno, I hope that helped. :) enjoy playing the guitar and have fun :D

dont let The fact that Sungha here can play like this stunt what you can bring yourself to accomplish with a guitar. even if u played for 2 years and know 6 chords.. u can still play 6 more then most people. . iv been playing for .. 10 + years and still have so much to learn at times its overwhelming. i mostly play groove metal and acoustic style southern stuff. but thats my comfort zone. find your style weather its what u listen to or something you never have that your good at playing. got to establish a common ground. some people are bad at chords but amazing at solo licks and sweep motion style playing. . bet advice for you? pick up the guitar. throw out everyone elses playstyles and music and just let the music come. start slow. and bring up the tempo. or take those chords u know and move a finger somewhere else.. theres endless possibilities to come up with . love what you play and just let yourself fall into your own music. And Remember to have fun. iv been playing on a 100 dollar electric guitar for all those years and have taught myself everything i know except for the occasional cool Technics that iv noticed others play that made my licks smoother to portray . but never let your skill level let u down. make your own style and you love it everyday

This is the first sungha's video i watched, 5 years ago. And that time, i wasn't know anything about playing a guitar. So i thought that this is a standard way of playing it. Then when i started to learn, i began to understand. This is so freakin hard to do and so freakin amazing.
Brettzky14 It's still possible to play this song. But in the easier way of course. It's up to our skill level. I have tried to play the song in some basic ways. There are many good and easier version available also on youtube.

I would love to hear him sing just one chorus of the songs he plays. He really has a good voice to go with his incredible ability as a musician. It hard not to be drawn in by his playing. It's inspirational.

I play guitar a little but everyone makes fun of me and tries to make me give up because I'm so passionate about it even though I'm not very good. I take my guitar everywhere and try playing anyways. Even my dad tried to make me stop saying it got in the way of my studying and I had no future with music. I'm just a freshman in high school and I really love playing the guitar... I wish I was as good as Sungha but the problem is that I've never had a single lesson. I teach myself off the internet and I play different songs and try different techniques. I wish I was this good so that I could prove to everyone how much it means to me :-(. I just can't pay for lessons and my parents refuse to pay for it and they spend so much on tennis lessons which I hate...
Elias Hailemicael Try video tutorials, they are much better than tabs. I recommend Gareth Evans (or martyzsongs if you are too much of a beginner). Keep trying to learn more and more, it doesn't take little time to become good. Remember, if your heart really wants it, you will get it. Also JUST DO IT
same here. My fingerstyle comes out Screaming in despair, like choking some animal. He can make it sing with his strumming, without saying a word, it fills the air with lyrics..

Played this song couple of times every night for her and has the motivation to learn a lot more songs back then. Now, she's gone. I also lost my interest playing it.
Thats normal But let me recommend to not carry on with that attitude because in a worst case scenario theres the end of the world and with that attitude You may not find reasons to survive as fast as it should be.

hi I recently played this song with the classical guitar for my last recital. I was teary eyed while I was playing this. I really wanted to do music but I can't they told me that there's no money in music. Thinking that it was my last piece, I knew I'm never ever going to play the classical guitar again like I used to--- or how I used to be.
And to tell you, I miss it. I really missed music.
Whenever I think about it, It makes me cry.
That's why to everyone out there who wants to pursue music, do it. Don't ever let anyone stop you. You'll regret it your whole life.

Lia Kim Give it another shot. Unless your hands are broken from an accident or have a degenerative disease like arthritis there's no reason not to play music at any age. You might not become as good as you could have been, but it's better than not playing music and just wishing you were. Seriously.
And even if there's no money in music, the joy you can experience by doing something you love will uplift your energy and make you happier and more productive at work. And if you're more productive, you'll probably get promoted or get a raise. That's how music can help you earn more money. :-)

This song Sooo brings back very sad memories that my little sweet girl of 7 yrs. died, then i wld. dance all the time (ballet) for her when she had cancer & no matter what time of the
day it was, it seemed this was her favorite song. We also had two bunnies. They are most active during the evening, & early mornings =..I danced for them too & they wld. just look like they were having the time of their lives. Recently, on April 7th, & May 7th one was a boy he died then the next month because she was lonely & didn't realize he wasn't coming back... she died. I think i have cried a river of tears. But, at least i have the Lord & he gave me them in the first place. I will miss them tremendously..

I've been trying to play an easier version of that song for so long and it is so hard. Only a guitar player would know how insanely good this guy is!
I've been playing for a bout 3 months, practicing this song for just over 1 month, i got the intro - 2nd chorus, those parts sound almost like him, but i still struggle with those bar chords for some reason.
BobbieChan bar chords ARE rough, they require certain muscles to be used that quite frankly most people don't use in everyday life. Just keep working on them and you'll get it eventually.
I've Learn This version for about a day only.. try to watch "goliath guitar tutorials" .. he will teach you almost all of sungha jung's music.
The song is not very hard in my opinion. (I'm not saying Sungha Jung isn't good because obviously he is) All you really have to do is look up the tab and learn from the video I do it all the time.
I have learned this song by practicing for just 1 week , check out goliathguitar tutorial , it's really easy , you just need to be patient , the normal guitar version is very easy though.

Not sure if crying because this is so beautiful or because I've been playing for almost 2 years and only know 6 cords. I can play a few songs but I can't afford a teacher... Fml
I've learnt the classical guitar for around 7 years now and I'm still on year 12 level. Acoustic for about a year, I'm decent, below average though :P and electric for a few months. Besides classical guitar, I've self taught :D well not really...I just go on youtube or the Internet :D it's free and accessible. Yes it won't be the same as having a teacher Irl but you can pause, rewind and stuff to enhance your learning. :D
And always remember, don't look at how far you have to go, you should look back at how far you've come. A guitar and passion is all you need.
You say you only know a few chords but most songs only require like only 4 at minimum.
Finger picking like sungha Jung is a totally different thing for another day. Continue learning more chords and learn more strumming styles and you've already become a great guitarist :D then if you want, there's even a video tutorial that teaches you how to play this song sungha jung style :D
I hope I'm not going on too long but to be honest, time doesn't matter, I think quality matters more :D practice :D

dont let The fact that Sungha here can play like this stunt what you can bring yourself to accomplish with a guitar. even if u played for 2 years and know 6 chords.. u can still play 6 more then most people. . iv been playing for .. 10 + years and still have so much to learn at times its overwhelming. i mostly play groove metal and acoustic style southern stuff. but thats my comfort zone. find your style weather its what u listen to or something you never have that your good at playing. got to establish a common ground. some people are bad at chords but amazing at solo licks and sweep motion style playing. . bet advice for you? pick up the guitar. throw out everyone elses playstyles and music and just let the music come. start slow. and bring up the tempo. or take those chords u know and move a finger somewhere else.. theres endless possibilities to come up with . love what you play and just let yourself fall into your own music. And Remember to have fun. iv been playing on a 100 dollar electric guitar for all those years and have taught myself everything i know except for the occasional cool Technics that iv noticed others play that made my licks smoother to portray . but never let your skill level let u down. make your own style and you love it everyday

Brettzky14 It's still possible to play this song. But in the easier way of course. It's up to our skill level. I have tried to play the song in some basic ways. There are many good and easier version available also on youtube.

I play guitar a little but everyone makes fun of me and tries to make me give up because I'm so passionate about it even though I'm not very good. I take my guitar everywhere and try playing anyways. Even my dad tried to make me stop saying it got in the way of my studying and I had no future with music. I'm just a freshman in high school and I really love playing the guitar... I wish I was as good as Sungha but the problem is that I've never had a single lesson. I teach myself off the internet and I play different songs and try different techniques. I wish I was this good so that I could prove to everyone how much it means to me :-(. I just can't pay for lessons and my parents refuse to pay for it and they spend so much on tennis lessons which I hate...
