Do you have any recommendations for festive things to do in addition to the market. I'll be going there this December, around the 19th thru the 22nd, but I noticed a lot of the events happen earlier in the month.

There are plenty of holiday themed events in DC around that time - various live musical shows, US Botanical Garden Christmas decors, ZooLights at the Smithsonian National Zoo, holiday markets not only in DC but also in nearby Alexandria VA.
