Starring:
Ellie Sachs: / esachsy
Alex Mallonee: / schmallonee
Written / Directed / Shot by:
Will Dennis: / willydennis
Description: Ellie is meeting Alex for a job interview. He's going to pepper her with some hard-hitting interview questions about advertising. Will she get the job? Wait... does she want the job?
"Tell you what... why don't you go away, spend a whole week doing a project for me for free, and then have this inappropriate remark to go along with it?"
_taking notes for the next female applicant I'll be interviewing_
lol
hahaha
very stiff unnatural acting that is made more obvious by the wide angle
@@TommyLikeTom appreciate the feedback!
What a unique camera perspective
thanks!!
@@willydennisyt Do closer telephoto like Uncut gems
I probably will soon!
This reminds me to 1970s movies with longshots of dialogues shot in Los Angeles without city permission. Brilliant!
@@SteveOnTheInterweb thank you!
The extras were brilliant.
nyc baby!
I showed this to my brother who is an ad/marketing director and he laughed his ass off and said "yeah, I've worked with plenty of those guys, they don't ever get anywhere but always somehow manage to be working." 😂
hahah good to hear
Even though its a re-upload ill watch again, seriously underrated channel. Also appreciate the higher quality in this re-upload!
appreciate that! was a bit worried about starting over with it but wanted the hi-res out there. thanks for understanding and the additional view!
Lol all of these videos are exactly what i need to binge today. Very well done.
haha glad to hear!
lmaooo snag, these videos are so so good, super underrated
appreciate that!!
Man you just nail cringe comedy so well
haha sorry to make you cringe but thanks!
This was a horror show in so many ways, and by the end, Trevor is left snagging himself...
hahaha yes indeed
I can not believe she even agreed to such an unorganized interview lol
red flags from the start!
Wow trevor, you really dropped the ball(s) on that line hmm
agree
It's probably worth putting in the description how old the original is, since your style has changed since then :)
oh interesting to hear - I still love long takes / long lenses :)
@@willydennisyt To clarify, I'm mostly talking about the style of the dialogue, but it's quite clear that both your cinematographic and writing skills have grown in the past few years!
@@CedarAce1000 ah yes thanks! always looking to improve :)
i am also a snag. life is what it is
lol
Wow the end 😬🫣
thanks for watching :)
yeah! why didn't she take the job??
@@130or1 lol
Huh, this honestly feels strange to see. It feels like I’m watching a real conversation.
i'll take it!
That sounds like my kind of job 🙌
lol
Back away slowly
lol true
Love this !!! ❤❤❤
thanks for watching!
Ha, my dad is also a William Dennis. Except he went the Bill route. And as a fellow Dennis, I am sure you have also had people reverse the order of your name countless times over the years...
I get called Dennis all the time!
Fun
thanks :)
The algorithm has blessed me today
likewise! thanks for watching :0
This whole situation seems so overwelming. Maybe I'm just not used to the amount going on in a city but I would struggle to do an interview here
oh it's an incredibly unprofessional setting yes
What mics do you use to record this scene?
we used the tascam DR 10-L
I’m surprised the mics weren’t wired. Added hipness.
they were recording to the lavs themselves :)
Whoa, Will, you really do reply to every comment! Now that's dedication!
Let me ask you, who/what are your inspirations? Your style is so unique and unconventional, yet it somehow feels weirdly familiar. Kinda like having sex with an ex after 5 years.
P.S. Love your work!
lol thanks! generally grew up on seinfeld and woody allen so that's rattling around in my brain probably but just generally try to make things that are naturalistic but a bit heightened, with snappy dialogue. appreciate the watch and the question!
watched low res one a min ago
ah just missed the fresh one sorry! haha
How's the audio captured here
we used two lavs that were on-board recording
I feel like I've seen this movie, it's from the 80s maybe? 😂 I mean this as a compliment of course, great cinematography.
haha thanks!
Thank you for reuploading this! Also, the actress in this video sounds like the Google Notebook LM podcast voice
haha haven't tried notebook llm yet but hear it's wild
Amazing as usual
Also did you get the list of potential collaborators I sent? I'm the guy who suggested you should collab with other sketch TH-camrs. I've watched people skyrocket because of the right collaboration!
That + really catchy titles + thumbnails. Mr. Beast (I don't watch his videos but I've seen his interviews) hyper-optimizes for thumbnails and titles so it must work I think... good stuff as always Will!!!!
yeah i've been starting to think about thumbs and titles - definitely want to make the vids as appealing to click on as possible while staying true to the content / style. I don't think I got the list - where did you send it? email is in bio if helpful. appreciate it!
I think your content is gonna blow up and you won't be able to reply to every comment 😅
haha we'll see. would be nice to blow up but comments are fun though!
It says replying to all comments on your channel description. So reply this comment without a reply. (Nope I'm not drunk)
.... (does this count?)
@willydennisyt well i guess, u tried and u got a new sub 🎉
Haha thanks !!
