I too paired this cookset with my vintage Svea 123 stove. Works well together.

Mine doesn't have the non-stick coating like yours appears to, so I do have to use extra cooking oil when using the pan. I generally use the larger pot only to boil water and it's just as good or even better and cheaper than a jetboil. It really is a good set. I used it mainly to make pour-over coffee, rehydrate food and boil food. It's doesn't simmer well, so making rice requires a refined touch. Generally, this is good for two people. For backpackers, this does run on the heavy for solo trips.

I've seen these cook pots with the ring on the bottom but never thought much of them until seeing this demo, guess they do work...quicker boil time and uses less fuel, thanks for testing and sharing

Yeah I was not sure how well it was going to work, but that was quite a difference, thanks!

Good kit. I’ve had mine for over 4 years. I will say that the rubber will crack and fall off over time.
Not sure if that is neglect on my part... but it might be something I can control by adding some electrical tape.

Thanks yeah I figure it will come off eventually, but I can always put some thick heat shrink tubing on there after.

@@Iridium242 The fabric tape that is used to wrap wiring in automotive engine bays is a handy alternative. Cheap, comfortable, readily available and heat proof. I've been using it for years on cookset handles and the bails of liquid fueled lanterns with zero issues so far. YMMV but it's worked well for me.

Thanks for the review, 2:50 for 2 cups is great. How is the exchanger ring attached to the pot?
