At the 8:23 mark, they say a problem property is 113 Swallow, not Chipmunk. The Chipmunk address you provide in the video description is the address of a neighbor to the problem property at 113 Swallow. I'll have to drive by and see if that's the address of the unsupervised children. They did live on Swallow, but I don't recall what the house number was. Earlier this year I saw one child pull another, even younger, child in a buggy/cart behind his bicycle out onto Hwy 82. The cart tipped over, sending the younger child crashing onto the street. (I told the police and sent them the video of it from my dash cam.)
No adult responsible for supervising those children came to their aide. And whoever the adult was in charge of supervising them allowed one young child to pull the even younger child like that behind his bicycle towards Hwy 82 in the first place. It could have been disastrous. Those children are not to blame. The responsibility is the adult supervising them to stop them from doing something so dangerous.

Deeply saddened to hear of Officer Mitchell’s resignation. I met Ofc. Mitchell following a “misunderstanding” with another driver and I immediately knew he was one of the good guys. He took the time and effort to commit simple things to memory , like a residents name. He is an experienced and fair investigator with just the right temperament for our Village. He understood the simple fact that policing a population of 800 on weekdays is different from the 10k visitors on weekends. He will be missed and not easily replaced.
Watching this meeting is more informative than one might think. I live on Eagle Place and pass that problem home often. It has constantly gotten worse and worse!!
So glad you all are on top of it!!
