I've been re-watching a Darkness Falls series by More2Me4Life from about 2 years ago, her "Get Rekt" series. She spent about 150 days in DF, reaching about 130 episodes (she cut out some days that were spent mining etc). I know it's difficult for youtubers to maintain viewer engagement on series of that length (not to mention their own engagement), but I really like that series precisely because it is so consistent, and because it shows what _true_ endgame looks like in Darkness Falls. One thing she did _not_ do, which I think worked in her favour, was to move her home base to the Wasteland. She opted to stay in her permanent home in the desert, and instead built short-stay mining and "hunting" bases in the irradiated wastes. That caused her a great deal less grief than trying to _live_ there. Oh, and she too blew up her own helicopter once. I don't know if your next 7d2d series will be set in Darkness Falls, but whenever you get there, consider taking a leaf from her collection of red research pages and avoid trying to live in the Wasteland. Leave that to trader Caitlin and the demons. You'll be happier for it, and it might be less frustrating for both you and us viewers :-)
Ha yeah maybe, I stopped short of the wasteland in D0, but I had wished to spend more time in it. Also wow 130 episodes lol. That more than doubled my longest running of 55. Man even going 5 days a week it would take 6 months to finish that
@Genosis I mean, the Wasteland is a lot of fun. It's just... best experienced in limited quantity, in overhaul mods like Darkness Falls. I don't remember exactly how long it took her to finish the series, but six months sounds about right. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that you should do the same, do what works best for you.
The hospital as a T6 infested is one of the easier vanilla ones to do. Because it was designed before they added infested quests. The ones designed after they came out with infested quests such as the jail, prison and Grover high are a lot harder.
When you're using multiple auto-turrets there's two tricks to getting them to work right - don't use just one type and don't turn them all on at once so you avoid having them run out at the same time - or limit it from doing that as it might still run out at the same times. They take forever to reload so the idea is to have it so they're not all in the process of reloading. The two types have different reload times - or they used to. I'm not sure about now though - haven't seen anyone test on them in a while.
I like to put two on opposite corners on the ground so they're aiming down two of the walls. Those will wipe out wandering hordes that go at your walls.
Makes sense, would just turn into a cross fire and shots fired when the target is already dead. Staggering them would make sense, blind them as well and only fire when zombies are at a certain spot in the path
@@Genosis I usually put two on either side of me but one works just as well. Once I really don't need the XP anyways. Capp tested them a long time ago and even with a bunch of them it still won't stop hordes.
I think Jawoodle mentioned you in his last episode, so that the traders don't talk😄 he's very thankful. Wow you're horde base is so strong , maybe it could withstand even a DF-Horde ?!?! I´m exited for the last night
Ha yeah I heard about that; it’s one of a few mods I’ve been working on with him. Happy to help, I like a challenge. Also I may do a similar above-ground build for DF and just build it up to a high level
If/when you do Rebirth, you should definitely take technogeek either as your primary or secondary class. The higher-level turret special will make you positively giddy. (I personally voted and am still hoping for Darkness Falls, but that's because Rebirth & DF dropped around the same time and somehow every creator I follow at all picked Rebirth. I don't even know what DF looks like this alph-- right now, so I'm more curious about that, but it's hard to deny Rebirth is also very shiny. Pity most people did Navezgane content already with 1.0; I kinda wanna see that map Purged.) Also: Infested Minotaur Theater! I'm certain that's a perfectly balanced affair that will at no point have you questioning how that many zombies even got in that space.
looking like you need to get back to your sniper roots, getting sloppier with your head shots. may be a good time for a headshot only training playthrough heh
Gen walked away from the good Crack a Book store.....I feel like this is invasion of the body snatchers and the droids have replaced the real Gen with a bot. Real Gen would never pass up books.
Anyone else get a Aliens vibe at th-cam.com/video/VJn9dGyPaF8/w-d-xo.html when he was looking in the drop ceiling? I really, really, wanted to see a bunch of crawlers come boiling out. hehe
I like to open up all the doors on each floor of the hospital and clear each floor out instead of trying to follow their convoluted path they want you to take. Is that cheating? lol
@@W1se0ldg33zer I’d say definitely not. The dungeon is just a suggestion, a way for a player to make sure they got all the zombies via a linear path. In the future if I made any prefabs I’m definitely going less linear
@@Genosis Yeah it's just how I do that particular one because of the times when I would do like they wanted it done and still miss some of them - then have to go all the way back through the building.
I know you probably already recorded the final episode but just in case you haven't yet you should do a day 7000 or some s*** like that. That way the final word is a endgame horde. Also just thought I should say this but Glock 9 is living in your library in his current episodes he's doing a hole end game thing. Day 7 000 horde night every five nights and after every word he's moving to a different biome. And currently in the biome he's in he's living in the nag library. Just thought that was interesting
Nice, fun to see that POI of ours is still floating around. And yeah the finale is already recorded, and don't worry, I don't think day 7000 would have made much difference with what happened lol
@@Genosis The hordes used to be scripted but it might be different now. There were 50. Once you went through all 50 it's start over at number one. I know once you hit a certain game stage you'll start seeing demolishers and I think the only other things that makes them different is you'll get more radiated one, more ferals and more higher tier of cops. They change that around a lot so who knows for sure how it is now but making it day 7000 doesn't mean much anymore. It doesn't go by that.
It used to be scripted up until day 49 horde and that would be as hard as it could get and then after that you'd get random ones. It's not like that anymore though. Day 21 horde used to be when cops would show up.

Yeah hospital wasn't bad, that roof though.. still rough spot
MPLogue makes some very unique locations, I'm putting a dollar on day 42 horde being a breeze.
MP Logue POIs are fairly distinguishable, yep! And unless something drastic happens, I suspect an in-control 42 finale!
I was never a huge fan of this mod, but watching you play it now im gonna be sorry to see it end. Awesome episode
It's not always about the mod, it's about the adventure!
It’s sad that this series must end. It was very badass. I will miss the mayhem. Looking forward to the next one.
There will always be more mayhem! And yeah I’m glad I gave D0 a good playthrough and see what it had to offer
That plasma sniper rifle is really fun
Oh yeah, I’m definitely going to use sniper rifles more in the next series. I would use them more but I need to diversify :O

The shotgun turrets will decimate them if you can get them to do headshots.

If one spawned in your map, you need to raid one of the large prisons...
Good chance to see what the big flying drones do, if they show up.
:)
the mech/droid variety is pretty sweet

Way ahead of you
Shooty & Poundy are ridiculous in Rebirth…
Perfect
I based up in the Bridger abnb once. only problem was I couldn't figure out how to break the rope bridge.
Weird, with such a custom asset the hitbox might be wonky, or non existent
You're just shooting them out of existence. lol
That’s what they get!

That'd be a fun zombie type lol
You passed up a ton of books in the big library you raided! You said you were tired of checking bookshelves!
Turn your difficulty to insane and go to the wastelands, woo baby it's a pain in the ass but it's fun
Yeesh that sounds like trouble lol
So we're close to a new season?
New series on Wednesday!

What did you say to upset your wife so that she wouldn't heal you? :)
Knowing her, breathe, chew, or otherwise exist when she's in a mood :P
