This man just travels all around the world and makes train videos just to make us happy. What a legend.
PS: Thanks for answering my question :)
I do it for fun too you know! I love a good train ride. 🥰
@@SuperalbsTravels hey, so this is a serious question and also a curiosity of mine about you, have u watched when you was a kid Thomas the tank engine cartoons? and if yes, did they influence you in a way about your passion about trains?
@ciripa I did watch it! It sure if it had any influence though haha.
After seeing the thumbnail, I wondered how he kept his shoulders at such an impossible position, while smiling. "Ohh" screamed my mind after a few seconds....
Oh man, that would hurt... 🤣
Literally (one of) the best train channel on youtube. Always well researched information and well pronounced cities and trainstations! ;)
One of the best 😉
@@NonstopEurotrip You are one of the best too
Thanks so much! 😁😁😁
@@NonstopEurotrip I'm sorry! You're also a honorable mention!
Congratulations for 75k. I've found your channels a few days ago. Please come to Luxembourg 🇱🇺 . Here, you can jump in a train at Luxembourg City Station(it's really beautiful). You don't need to buy a ticket as long ass you stay in the country.
You are a wonderfully charming, articulate and interesting man. Much good luck in your future travels.
Thank you so much!! 🥰
I've only found your channel about a few 'weeks' ago and I am already loving the content you're producing and the hard work has paid off! Congrats on 75K subs! Next goal is the 100k mark, let's hope it becomes a reality!
Thank you so much, I agree! 😅🥰
Just keep on doing what you do, your videos are some of the best on TH-cam
Thank you, I plan to! 😁

It’s nice to see how passionate and global your fans are
I agree, I love that! 😍
Great video. You are a true icon in this community :-)
Thanks, just doing my bit! 😅
great job, keep filming and sharing with us your railway journeys. I really appreciate all you have done. it helps me to improve my listening and understanding skills of English while I'm watching and enjoying the videos.
Thank you, and I wish you well with your English language studies. 😊
Congratulations for 100K! 🙌🙌
GREAT JOB ALBIE!!!
Yo, Alfredo! Thank you so much! 🥰
Really informative and you've given me ideas for trips. I do enjoy the UK network and am working my way around it. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you, more to come! 😍
O wow I am so happy to know you are fulltime now! That’s great! Looking forward to more amazing content
Thank you! I've got a lot more to come... 👀
Yours is my favorite train journey channel on TH-cam, and a big part of that is actually your dedication to correct pronunciation of place names. It's just such an easy way to show respect for the places you're visiting, or even passing through. Thank you for that, for all your work on the channel in general, and congratulations!
Agreed, I like doing that. And thanks!
Well Done! Your my favourite train youtuber!
Thank you!!!
Thanks for a very good Q & A video! So interesting and well organised! I love travelling by train, so this is the perfect channel for me!
Thanks, it's great to have you here! 😁
It is nice to see your face for longer than the ten second piece to camera that we get in most of your videos. Long may your Albs continue to be Super.
Haha thank you!!
Haven't followed the channel for long, but quite like the content. Keep up!
Thanks, great to have you here! 😁
Great vid! Safe travels!
Thanks very much! :)
Great q&a’s. Thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks for making this. Good points on the UK railway system (rights particularly) which I use quite a bit as well. Looking forward to the next videos 🤗👏✌️
Thanks! :)
Well done on your achievements

I'm wondering If you would ever have the time to add voiceover for the older videos. I like the old videos but having you comment and explain things in the video just makes a whole lot of difference😊

It's so good to listen to your stories. You should also do a podcast!
What would I do a podcast about? I've never researched the idea! 😅
@@SuperalbsTravels You travel a lot, you certainly have a lot of interesting experiences that cannot fit into a video. In Europe too, but in Kazakhstan, India... I would love to hear you explain more about your travels.
In addition, if you are interested in railway networks, railway development, you could also talk about such things or talk to others on a European or British level.
@@vetrokovacsgergo4953 I'll have to consider it... 😁
I truely enjoyed watching this video. I really hope that you're going to review the brand new ICE interior as well as the (slightly different) ICE L interior when they are launched😊
Always love checking out ICE trains. I'll be there to try out the latest generations. 😁
From a TS reskinner to full time youtuber, congratulations! - Lord B
I really like the fact that you put so much effort into pronouncing the place names so that they sound as good as in the local language. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!! 😁
It's actually irritating. No one but this guy likes to pronounce the names of foreign towns and cities without using their native accent. Switching from a British accent to a foreign accent without notice, over and over again, is as pointless as it is bizarre.
@@abc123ben I'll make sure to give you a bit of notice next time, sweetie! Xx
@@SuperalbsTravels All you need to do is take notice of your own voice once in a while, "sweetie".
Great channel. Keep up the exceptional work. Oh and please publish that video on Lithuanian railways when you have a free minute :)
As for Chinese visas, I'm not sure what makes you think they're difficult. There is a fairly short list of requirements such as passport, flight ticket and hotel booking (can cancel it later anyway if you change your mind). Also you can travel visa-free from HK to Guangdong province and some other visa free options in Shanghai, Beijing and other places. Honestly, Chinese railway system is absolutely mind boggling and I can't wait for you to visit it and produce a good video report.
I'll have to research China more... 😃
My equal first languages are English and German, with knowledge of some others. I really appreciate your very accurate pronunciation of place and station names.
Thank you! :)
great q & A and i agree about travelling in London. it was the first city metro i ever used on my own so this probably makes me a bit biassed. The biggest issue for me is lack of staff at gates on European Metro. i had to walk away from a metro station in Lisbon Portugal as their didn't seem to be any staff to assist me and i couldn't use the ticket machines as i couldn't see them.
Nice Footage of Trains You've Recorded 👍
Thank you! :)
@@SuperalbsTravels No Problem 👍
Hi, I was wondering if you have some plans to review more Polish trains in the future. They’re cheap, there’s new rolling stock, the scenery is nice, and the sleeper trains are decent. 😊
I love Poland, it's one of my favourite places to visit, for sure!
But I am frustrated by the ridiculous new law whereby they have banned photography of railways.
Recently, I visited Poland for a few days, but no filming...
What? I’m polish myself and never knew about this law! My recommendation is to wear some slightly hidden bodycamera… I recommend you go on one of the night trains (couchette preferably since not a lot of reviews showcase that - travelling in one myself its decent…), but yeah..
for example, theres a summer night train (or idk maybe was temp?) between Kołobrzeg and Kraków, which was VERY popular, and well utilised (i know from travelling this route overnight partially) and if you were to travel between one of the most beautiful cities to a seaside town, i would recommend this train
@@alivinghuman1 Is the law not enforced much then? I've heard stories of a few German people being arrested for it.
Heard this channel from a friend when I was doing some researches on the caledonian sleeper, and pretty much enjoying all the videos in this channel. Just wondering if you can do some videos on chinese trains? I'd like to see how someone like you who had a lot of experience travelling with trains see the rail network in China😀
I'd love to do China one day, I'm always looking out for interesting new ideas. :)
He’s a bit of a horn bag 🤣🤣👍. Seriously love all your videos. A natural for commentary.
Thank youuu! 🥰
Thanks!
Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰🥰
That Bulgarian train was the stuff of nightmares 😂
I loved it, despite the very poor standards... 😂
I appreciate the effort you put into to pronouncing place names well and not adding the obligatory 'sorry for butchering that name...' that is now so common on TH-cam that I find it distracting from the video's topic.
If I want a sorry I want it either before or after the main topic of the video, or it is better without it. (Though "Sorry if I ain't getting this right [...]" before saying statements, etc. can be appreciative)
It's all part of the fun! 😁😁😁
Congratulations for your first 75K subscribers, Superalbs!
Thank you very much! Here's to 75k more... 😅
Agree with you about hating flying.
It's not the best, is it? ☹️
Can't express how jealous I am of being able to travel around the world and just see countries by rail. Did an interrail trip of western europe this year and hopefully i can afford eastern europe next year!
Eastern Europe is great! 😍
So as someone who works selling tickets (not nearly the most important part of my job - but part of it) in the UK?
My answer to "Trains in the UK are too expensive" is . . . 'Yes and no', or possibly the even more unclear and unhelpful, 'it depends'.
I can think of routes I've sold tickets for that see a passenger travelling 2 stops and paying an extortionate amount.
Likewise, I also know of places where taking the train is literally cheaper, more comfortable and more reliable than taking the bus. (£1.80 single from a popular suburb into town compared £2.50 single on the bus. The traintakes 7 minutes, the bus takes closer to half an hour).
The railway experience in the UK is not bad its just . . . Deeply nebulous.
Sometimes excellent, sometimes shocking.
It largely depends on when you booked your ticket, who you booked it with and where you are travelling with (and when).
Yeah, I see where you're coming from. There are positives, but they really need to sort out the big negatives. Especially these days.
I cannot be the only one who would absolutely watch a longer video about your statistics spreadsheet (yes, this is a request :D)
Oh god, maybe! 🤓
Yes Please! @@SuperalbsTravels
If you spend all your time travelling alone, what room does it leave for family life, social relationships, and involvement in a local community?
i was wondering the same! the freedom of youth!!

About Mexico, they're testing ex BR HST units; and Toronto's Go Rail project seems interesting. Keep an eye on them!
The HST exports to Mexico and Nigeria both look great, I can't wait for that! :)
I really recommend trying out Northern lines, like the Leeds - Carlise , Bentham, Wharfedale and Airedale lines with Sprinters and Civitys.
Thanks, I'll have a look at it!
Check out the heritage trains in Poland. They are run by TurKol (Turystyka kolejowa - railway tourism), and feature a variety of interesting rolling stock and routes (for example closed routes or special routes that only cargo trains take). One notable example is the PIRATE, which runs one a year from Poznań to the coastal city of Kołobrzeg, but it doesnt only go to the city, it goes on the city's roads like a tram to the seaport, which nowadays has mostly tourist ships, but sometimes cargo trains use this route.
That sounds really cool actually! 🤔
If I could go back in time to any place, I would go back to 1988 and ride on a Network SouthEast 4-CIG or 4-VEP up to Waterloo. Childhood memories! :)
Amazing, I wish I could have experienced it...
@@SuperalbsTravels You might be able to once the Southern Electric Traction Group gets their 4-VEP mainline certified and ready to take passengers. It's coming along very nicely at Strawberry Hill depot.
@@mdhazeldine That's good to hear!
Well, the route from Bucharest to Brasov is FANTASTIC in 2023, you should try it sometime.
I filmed it in 2021, when I first visited Romania. :)
@@SuperalbsTravels Our railway company, CFR, does need some improvements, and it is the perfect example of "meh". But besides them, there is Astra Trans Carpathic, which is overall better. Though their "modern" fleet are actually second hand Danish trains.
@user-yl8in7ip5d ATC is really nice, I've used them before. :)
in a few years the austrian railways will get new double decker stadler kiss trains for the railjet service and regional express service around vienna. before that, they have brand new night trains going into operation in a few months too
True, can't wait for the new Nightjet, I hope it's worth the wait...
The Talgo Avril is, of course, a must for someone like you but, unfortunately it was delayed again to ¨the first quarter of 2024.
It was suppose to start service in November (original delivery date was January 2021) with the, still, expected opening of the new high speed connection to Asturias through the new Variante de Pajares. I mention it as apart from trying the new connection you should try the old one, which is far longer running through the mountains but, as always, has amazing scenery. Since it's not clear what will happen to it (the small villages and towns along the rout want's the service to continue but the cost of maintaining it is high).
I'll probably take a look some time in the new year! I want to see more of Spain. 😁
12:35 proudly saying that my country has one of the fastest train running at 350km/h. And yeah he had been on that train...
Indonesia? It's very cool... :)
20:16 some Russian?? Nice. And I really appreciate the pronunciation of names. Very often people on yt just pronouce every name like it's in English (which is very annoying).
Btw, that guy who traveled from the UK to Vladivostok is a legend. Will you do such a journey when the situation in Russia gets a bit better?
Yes, a little bit of Russian! I'd like to learn more one day.
Russia is a big must-visit for me, but due to the present government, I have no immediate plans to visit, sadly.

you should try the "Liliputbahn" in vienna austria its a park railway inside a themepark
Sounds cool. I'll have a look!
A pity you aren't old enough to remember the lovely CIG/BIG trains that ran between London Victoria and Littlehampton and various other places - massively comfortable, with a buffet car (although British Rail catering left a LOT to be desired!). And even before them, not sure of the designation, but the compartment-style trains.... these trains, of course, predate even retention toilets ("Do NOT use this toilet while the train is standing at a station!"), nver mind charging sockets and other such luxuries! But they were so much more comfortable than modern trains.
Sadly, I never used them, not even the ones that ran on the national network right up until around 10yr ago out of Brockenhurst.
Thanks for those insights, really interesting. But I still don't get it! I've seen many similar Q&A sessions on other Channels but I've never been able to figure out how this work can pay its way. I subscribe to a number of channels in a number of different genres, I watch dozens of videos a week, and it's all free. I'm not a fee paying Channel Member anywhere, nor a Patreon supporter - primarily because as a retiree with a young family to support I have limited free money every month. And I use ad-blockers and, even if I didn't, would never click on an ad. So HOW is your income generated in sufficient quantities to support, full time, what you do?
Whilst many use adblock, most don't. Serving ads to these users must be a very lucrative business.
I'm no expert on the topic, but I don't think clicks matter as much as actually showing the ad.
Bear in mind I only take around 50% of what my videos earn too! I also don't currently have any sponsorships, or membership schemes. Both of these can massively increase your income.
Enjoy the content! 😁
If ur coming to India.Try vande bharat express kasargod - trivandrum ,Kerala - South India. its not the fastest but its one of the most scenic route through Kerala and most well maintained, clean VB express. And also new orange livery VB in this route

In regards to your answer to 8:43. Under EU rail passenger protection laws, the responsible railway company has to give you a full refund for all the trains you'll miss, or provide you with alternative tickets if a delay causes your journey to be at least one hour longer (Regulation 2021/782, Article 18).
They also have to pay for hotels and food in cases where that is necessary (Regulation 2021/782, Article 20, 2.). Of course it's not always easy to claim this, but this is law in every EU country.
If you look up "EU rail passenger rights" you'll find a page with official information and a way to submit a complaint if these rights weren't respected.
Sadly not if you have different tickets, which often you have no choice.
Very nice video also why dont you try out the new European sleeper that goes from Berlin to Brussel via Amsterdam

Hi the XPT(Sydney-Melbourne -Sydney) trains are scheduled to be replaced in 2026/27.
Wow I've got plenty of time then! 😅
Do you plan to take Slovenian trains ?

And do you plan to take a train in bosnia?

Have you thought about the räthische Bahn in Switzerland?
I'd love to do it! 😍
I may be biased because I am partly Japanese and grew up there. That means it was the trains in Japan that got me into becoming a train lover. The infrastructure and the ease of riding is second to none. However, that overfeeding everyone of information could also be a disadvantage. It feels like everyone is being pampered, so once a Japanese tries to take public transport abroad, he would be in a lot of trouble as they aren't as abundant in information and guides.
I've been to London several times, and I don't think the city transport system is bad. Not the best, but there are way worse places on earth. Some regional as well as intercity trains in the UK may be horrible though. And yes, I agree with you being overpriced. Unfortunately, I am in my 30's so no discount if I travel solo
Definitely agree that Japanese people must struggle while trying to use rubbish transport systems abroad. 😅
When doing the x2000 video, beware there are 2 versions running, the old one and the new one. Afaik there is no way to know which one your trip will get but the new ones should be great!
My video is of an old one. :)
Being stuck should your train be delayed, because each train is on a separate ticket, is the same system as low cost airlines. If your Ryanair flight, for example, is delayed sufficiently, and you miss your connection, then it's a case of tough luck, as Michael O'Leary would say. And of course your travel insurance probably won't cover you, as the flight you missed actually still operated, so tough luck again. The only workaround with rail is to buy fully flexible and refundable tickets, which will cost a fortune. It's not a great system at the moment, and I can't see it changing. 😞
Exactly. Rail will struggle to take passengers off flights as long as this prevails. Short-sighted, really.
