Makes me realise how much I dislike the skewed view of the table we have had for some years. Looking at your shots shows how difficult the shots are far better.
8:07 He used a lot of lefthand side. Look how the cue ball reacts off the black cushion, despite having travelled one-and-a-half times the length of the table by then...
Good recreations, but I do think that some of your shots end with the cue ball in a better position than the original shot and you mark your accuracy down. I know you try to stay true to the original but if your shot is better is that not worth a point or two. I really enjoyed these as there were some difficult ones. Thanks 👍
I saw Xiao Guodong play that snooker and by an unbelievable coincidence had the opportunity to play an almost identical shot in a cup match two days later. I was so happy when it came off perfectly. By next week I'll have forgotten about the shot and not even see it if it's on!
Okay, you got me curious! You kept commenting about having to use a regular cue ball. What differences are there between cue balls you are talking about?
I imagine that when setting the balls up time each time a shot doesn’t work out it can be tricky to position them exactly the same so your next shot may require you to use fractionally more/less side/top/screw etc each time…? Well impressed with your persistence.
@@Breakfromlife from our perspective there's a lot of different bro because your recreation is VERY solid and good but the view form your camera angle is wider and that little thing is a big different sir All respect for you 💝 ALI FROM ADEN YEMEN
i think it's great you sum up player performances during the tournament, but in my opinion someone losing in the next round or the other frames do not change the importance of this shot.
How would you best describe your playing skills… novice, above average, amature, semi-professional? As always 👍🏻. Keep them coming. We enjoy your content.
Every Saturday I am waiting religiously to watch these videos, there is absolutely NO chance I've missed any. Well done! Pin me on the map, man, come on - Sofia, Bulgaria 😎
Here's how to pronounce the names of the Chinese players you recreated: Si Jiahui = Suh Jee-a Hway; Xiao Guodong = She-ow, Gwo Dong; Ding JunHui = Ding Joon Hway. My Chinese is crap but names are easy once learn rules of Pinyin alphabet. Pronunciation guide provided here not exactly correct but probably 8/10! Oh, Ben in Shanghai, China.
@@formulaic78 Do you speak Mandarin? Where did you learn the language? See in the closet English pronunciation for Si, though it still sounds a bit different.
@@snooker9773my Chinese is crappy but I have lived in Shanghai for fifteen years and I checked with my wife when you questioned my understanding. Xi is the ee sound but Si is more like an euh sound.
@@formulaic78 I'm native Chinese. The Mandarin vowel in Si pronounced in first tone (which is the case in Si Jiahui) is similiar to the English vowel in see. This new thing where you are disclosing the weight of cueball. Hats off to your honesty, but I am not sure it is in line with the aethos of the channel to try to recreate shots. Your table and cue fair enough - they can't quite be tournament equivalent. But the balls should be the same. Fail 100+ times on a shot or give up, but keep it real please.

Always good for some Saturday morning viewing. Love the content! Is it time for a snooker room refurb?
I’m getting there half way done with the walls
@@Breakfromlife I like the fact you still have the old-school 'coffin' snooker lampshade - don't get rid of it! Far more atmospheric
Nice sound mix actually. Really crisp and lively without the unnatural denoisers and heavy compression. Something refreshing about it.
Great content and big respect

Pretty sure all the boys from the B grade comp from Masters ,st Kilda , Melbourne including me totally love your videos . 🎉

Brilliant weeks shots. Absolutely great to watch. I wasn't able to catch this tournament, so it also acts as a peek into proceedings. ,❤
Can we see a video. Where i can see how long it takes to reposition the shot. Like an uncut edited video

I think he has a slightly lighter cue ball, making it a bit easier to get lots of backspin on those long pots.
