First of all, kudos for your continous work for the AoM community. It would not be the same without you. The amount of work that you continue to put into the AI-championships is baffling.
This round you engaged a huge amount of clan members. A fresh step away from the "solo approach with betting" from years before. Perhaps altering solo/clan championships every year is a good format (now I'm speaking as if the game will last for many years to come, ha ha).
One improvement that I recommend is to have less rounds in the future. I am only speaking my own mind but I lost interest after a few rounds since pretty much the same teams where used. Before, when the odd mixed teams that the solo players could pick every round, kept it fun and unpredictable during all stages.
An idea for a future AI-championship is to have a "Boss Mode" where players face the non-playable bosses in the game; Guardian, Ra'Achne Queen and Ishtal. Perhaps let the players pick a team and face a random boss so that they cannot pick the perfect team against boss A, B or C. Progress could be measured in damage done within timer limit, how long until they die or how quick they kill it (and with how many heroes left alive).
