I have owned several Glocks over the last 20 years and never changed out the sights. The factory sights and factory night sights have been on the money all the way to 25 yards for me.
I think the overall sight picture isn’t bad, but not night sights (if someone needs that) and they have been plastic for some time and they will dent and not hold up to one handed manipulation work well. We just see so many better sight options standard on other pistols (320s, FN REFLEX, M&P, etc….) I always find it odd they don’t provide a better sight as std but not a huge deal either way…
I prefer the ball and cup sight picture that's more accurate for me; and the Glock factory Ameriglo option or factory night sights like on the 19X . They just work for me in a time when everyone trying to be John Wick, I guess I'm just old-school
I own a Glock 42 gen4 .380acp. Absolutely Love it! Now, I'm looking into This little Gem! Glock 25 380acp. I'm figuring this Bugger going to be a Seriously Fun Gun to shoot!!
Excellent vid. I have been shooting my 25 in GSSF Matches in the stock division and it has abo 27:00 ut the same recoil as the Glock 44 in 22lr, giving a superior advantage when shooting at 25 yards. I bought the 44 as a trainer for my Glock 17L and 19 but now it is really more suited as a trainer for the 25 as the recoil is very close to the same. The only difference is the 44 is much lighter and only 3-5 cents per round shooting 22lr versus 34-40 cents for 380. Still shoot pre-Obama 22lr.
Love mine, feels better than my ez 380 pc. First time at range hit 43 of 45 in six inch circle at 7 yards. Other two were inside 8 inches. I like the skinny ez for iwb but owb this is unbeatable. I am 63 with two surgeries on my support hand already. This shoots very, very easy.
Thanks for a great comment and totally agree, owned the EZ and while just fine and a smaller gun, you can tell the Glock quality in the 25 and no short cuts taken. Absolutely love it.
Absolutely beautiful review,a buddy of mine just picked one up. And this is his first Glock, He is a M&P & shield guy. Thank you for your thoughts on this. 🙏
It does strike me that it would be a great plinker or range gun. I have a lot of 380 once fired range brass, I have been thinking about picking one of these up.
I purchased one at a big box vendor in Cincinnati Ohio. Reasonably priced with three magazines. My wife enjoys shooting it and it is her daily carry these days. She has large hards for a woman and is recoil sensitive, it’s definitely a better choice for her compared to a Glock 26/27/43 etc or a Sig 365. I have not found a single retailer other than eBay that sells the mags that has them in stock. Magshack stocks them but they are on back order.
This could be a great Paradigm for training up new shooters Start them on a 44, and then when they have all the sight picture and Trigger control figured out move them up to this, and from this they could go to a 9mm full size with a g42 for deep concealment ( I've heard some people who know their Glocks say that the 34 and the 42 have a very similar recoil impulse)
Great pistol for edc if you’re new to guns or recoil sensitive or just want something that’s a little mild mannered..nothing wrong with carrying a .380..great review sir.🫡
Just bought a G25 yesterday just because it was available. I didn’t have a Glock in 380, the 42 was way too small for my hands. Bought everything I needed to reload for it also. Going to the range Saturday…
Yes, it is a limited run. 5,000-10,000. Tooling was shipped from Austria to Georgia, the set number of guns was produced, then the tooling was shipped back to Austria.
Glad I picked one up. I do not regret it. Gun is so smooth shooting and more accurate than I am with it so far. Hopefully they'll bring them back again. I want to pick up a second as a spare/collection piece.
The GA symbol is the proof marks. You'll find it on the frame, slide, and barrel. This gun isn't bad to shoot. I've never heard anyone say that a snub nose 38 is pleasant. For a beginner or even a more experienced shooter, I'd suggest one of these over any 38 special snub nose. I'd take the HST over the hydrashock any day of the week. It's a more modern and effective round in general. All of this is my opinion and worth exactly what you paid for it.
Hey thanks for the comments, I’d agree this one is easy and pleasant to shoot. I’ve been around revolvers a fairly long time now, dating myself a bit, and have no issue with a snub nose in .38 SPL getting rounds on target at 7-10 yards but again everyone’s mileage will vary. I would agree not a great starter gun at all. I’d also lean towards HST every time but federal has put time into that newer hydrashok round and it appears close to HST.
The .380 acp was not designed by colt its a German round known as 9mm Kurtz or 9mm short in English. When it was introduced to the U.S. it was renamed or designated as the .380 acp.
Glock is going to sell that antiquated gun to all the suckers willing to pay for that thing! Check out the magazines, they are designed to be used with dual or reversible mag release, which mean a possible gen 4 or 5 release and of course later MOS. We are all being played by Glock. Yep I'm a double sucker as I bought two. I wanted the softest shooting center fired gun I could find and the 25 fit the build. I have shot this bad boy in GSSF matches as stock the other was slide cut for an optic for open division. Shooting the 25 is CHEATING it shoots like a 22lr!
You know there will be. They made a limited run of 10,000 g25 and g28. They wanted to see how well it'll sell before they make new tooling to commit making it in the US. They made the run and all tooling has been sent back to Austria already. The g25/28 is already a proven platform and there are other variants we can't get of them in the US.
Why not take 9mm ammo and make it a little less powerful than your usual 9. It could be say in between the 380 and standard 9. Less recoil in an already existing platform. Then use 380 for micro or pocket pistols
that sounds like your thinking of reloading which I don’t think the masses / market demographic is doing for .380 . I saw this as a great compact proven platform for a segment that may simply be more comfortable with .380. Plus it was just fun to shoot. but of course there are still the micros for pocket carry.
Not a bad answer, guide rods are being marketed to reduce felt recoil, I can’t wait to see what the 9mm market does to reduce folks transitioning to the .380.
Thanks for the comment, not sure we’ll see 9mm folks move to this and I don’t think the 9mm market is in jeopardy of folks jumping from 9 to .380 but I think this does give a fantastic platform for folks who just want to shoot .380…..@@ptm7809
@@ptm7809and then the 380 can just do the same. The 9 mm needs competition from both ends. It’s time the market got shook up again. Can’t stand bandwagons. They inhibit innovation.

I don't know anyone personally and no range near me rent this one . Did your run alright, did it come with two or three magazines?
Mine had 5 FTE during the first 150 rounds. Next range trip 1FTE in another 150 rounds; all failures to eject were with 100 grain ammo with a weaker power factor. No failures yet with my Winchester 95 grain ammo. It seems to need a more powerful round to cycle the slide. Just FYI
I went to do a light break in to test mine yesterday. I usually do this to make sure I don't blow a lot of money on extra mags for the gun to just not work right. I shot 120rd of various brands in 95gr fmj. All flawless. I also tested 5rd each of speer gold dot, wilson extreme defense, Hornady conical Hp, and three Remington compact handgun. All rounds shot flawless. No ftf or fte. No lie, the best .380 and the best glock I've shot, ever. The gun is far more accurate than i can be with it. Definitely worth the buy. The G28 however is the one people have reported issues with that I've seen. It seems the spring is too stiff from factory on it for that short of a slide.
Well funny you say that because after the video I just happen to have a g19 mag sitting out and it did seem to fit and lock in. If the mags are going quick , to some degree that a good sign for interest in the gun, so hopefully it will become a standard offering. @@mr.rosarioshistoryvlog9303
I bought 3 extra mags from the Glock Store a few weeks ago. With tax it was at $100. A bit pricey but I always keep a minimum of 5 oem mags for each of my guns.
What are we talking about? Most guys who etc don't think 380 guns are unreliable sense the 1980s its the ammo not being powerful enough ..I carried a pk380 for long time years and years ago wasn't ever issue with the gun it was the ammo ..just like 32 acp ..the block doesn't fix the issue of less powerful ammo the reason they made 30suoercarry
Right, wasn’t trying to point out or highlight that .380 guns are unreliable, but rather the Glock platform has proven reliability and in a slightly larger package provides other advantages as well. Most of the videos / articles I’ve seen show most of the under performing.380 (penetration depth) issues has in some part to do with the micro pistols / barrel length, the G 25 would seem to help mitigate that.
