This. This right here is my favorite super of all time, and I am not even that big of a Kyo fan.
1.Instead of a big fireball aimed at the opponent like so many poster characters do in their franchises, he aims it at the *ground* to create a massive pillar of fire
2.He then *goes through* the fire, engulfs himself into flames, and then punches the opponent with that same fire.
3.MISETTE ARU, KUSANAGI NO KOBUSHI WO
4.It's very impactful while not taking too much time unlike a Ranbu super or a very flashy attack.
Simple and clean done in the best way possible, I cannot get enough of Mushiki

That massive pillar of flame then engulfs himself is the most favourite thing in Kyo
I like the dad versión.
I'm not a Kyo main as well, but the Mu Shiki is also my favorite super in KOF. There's a certain intensity to it, especially if you read the 97 manhua and understand that the regular version was an incomplete version, while the MAX version represented his mastery, and he was only able to launch that version once during the Orochi battle.

97 is the best, the sound effects and voice acting always stands out to me, followed closely by 98 which is just iconic.

I miss Kusanagi (Kyo's evil clone).
Believe it or not my favorite thing about him is his voice.
Mitsuo Iwata did an amazing job, he gave Kusanagi a great personality in his lines.

K9999 (Krohnen) mentioned Kusanagi in his special intro against Kyo in KOF XV so that means Kusanagi (the clone made by NESTS) existed at one point.
I would like to see him in KOF XV with his moveset of 2002UM plus having some techniques from Kyo-1 and Kyo-2

Kusanagi is a Canon mid boss during KOF 2003 so yeah, he actually exist.

In dreammstches he is one more clone from NESTS, in the main game he is an illusion made by Chizuru, but SNK updated their kof page and now says he is a clone from NESTS but that create plot holes in 2003, Chizuru then knows about this clone or was it Botan? Or there are now types of Kusanagi in the main game?
KOF XIII is so damn gorgeous.

My favorite KOF super! I love the repeated punches like 2003, NeoGeo BC, and XI.
Ok I knew it was being repeated. After seeing shingo just a slowed down version of kyo I always wondered why it’s just repeated punches but it looks cool with the fire so but it’s just funny knowing it’s repeated
We see that KOF 14 and KOF 15 are unplayable because Kyo doesn't have Mushiki. 🍷🗿

I love this move. It's more or less replaced by that chargeable punch super, which I generally like better because it doesn't waste your time. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss that fire pillar he drops at the start of the attack!

Bro even in the manga he's doing the exact same thing here,never explained exactly how he does that.Maybe the flame makes it feel like he punched you multiple(like 9-14 punches the games fluctuate wildly) times when it's really only 5-6 punches total?

Aww missing the 96 computer only version of the move. Besides that man it never ceases to amaze me how amazing this move looks in old games, and yet new/newer games it looked awful. Capcom didnt even get the rekka series correct for it, and then in games like KOFXIII it looks piss poor. Seriously such a cool looking move at one time, that as the years went on, somehow looks worse.

Never was a Fan of Kyo Kusanagi since the Beginning, hechk nowhere near as one of my Favorite FG Protagonists like Jin Kazama, Ryu, Liu Kang and even Siegfred,
But of course the "King of Fighters" would never be the same without him, even though he's not the Main Hero/Protagonist anymore, he'll still be around long as the Series goes on rather it'd be another Saga or Dream Match.

KOF 14 and KOF 15 exist, and they’re both very fun games, as well. Kyo doesn’t have this classic super of his in those games, though. I hope you formed your own opinion on both KOF 14 and 15 instead of just listening to KOF 13 glazers, because it’s not like 14 and 15 are terrible games by any means. Sure, they’re 3D. That’s not a bad thing. At least give them a chance, people.
@@MasterSprintersan1 I'm sure they're very fun. I just spent a lot of time playing kof13 when it was at its popularity prime. I haven't played 15 - and 14 felt off in some ways I couldn't put my finger on. Them being 3D wouldn't be so bad if they also took a similar direction that arcsys did - but instead they have really awkward 3D tweening that doesn't capture the original feel of the animations.
