Alright, so the eye binding vow theory was brought up before, and I think it was the perfect way to re-introduce Gojo. If we look closely in the leak image, we can see this figure is missing an eye. It's not covered by his hair, it's not an empty socket as if it were ripped out, and it's not closed. It's just straight up not there. So, the most logical explanation is Gojo is in fact back, and he used a binding vow prior to his Sukuna battle, to exchange one of his six eyes for a revival if he were to die. On top of this, during Gojo's battle, we see it's a 3v1, Mahoraga, Agito, and Sukuna vs. Gojo. Now, it would be Todo, Yuji, and (weakened) Gojo vs. Sukuna. So my theory? He's back, but not at full strength, so it won't disrupt the plot, as I still feel it will allow Yuji to get the kill he long deserved.
I'd say that's a good idea but the producers letter said those eyes are unmistakable I think a sacrifice of someone makes the most sense or shoko just straight up saved him
