      Same here. Getting rid of my Navara. Do you have a winch? I noticed the fairlead, but could see a hook....
      Is the bullbar a factory fitted job?? Only started watching the video, and seems good so far. The olds have an MU-X and it tows their caravan pretty well......

      @@darrindouglas1 Yep, i have a domin8r winch. I use a soft shackle made from dynema rope instead of a heavy metal hook. The bullbar is aftermarket AFN brand. 😊👍

    Be careful of those mud puddles without diff locks, I thought you were going to do what I did in my old series 3 SWB Land Rover years ago on that first one. I went into a building site at Coffs Harbour to test it out and on the track on the way out I didn’t avoid a mud puddle and ended up stuck at a 45 degree angle sideways less than 10 metres from a sealed road and had to call a tow truck. Extremely embarrassing.

    • @william6815
      @william6815 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Diff locks won’t do shit in mud holes they are made for hills when wheels are up in the air and he has a winch so he is fine

    • @Cooliemasteroz
      @Cooliemasteroz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Diff locks actually would have helped in my case cos the only reason I couldn’t get out was because both my left wheels had no traction and my right wheels were at the bottom taking most of the weight of my vehicle and I thought for an instant that Nick was going to end up in the same predicament. I know he’s got a winch and he’s ok but it’s still an inconvenience.

    • @LowRangeNick
      @LowRangeNick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Cooliemasteroz All good, I have a winch and I thoroughly checked the mud puddle for depth and how soft it was. 👌

    Good videos mate. Been considering a mux. And doing some research. Been reading these chew up CV for brekky. Kinda puts me off cause I tend to do the harder tracks also need to be able to twin lock it.
    Also you need to get a microphone 😁 keep up the good work

    • @LowRangeNick
      @LowRangeNick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think any IFS front vehicle will destroy cvs if you don't know how to drive and try and bounce your car up everything. I've never had any issues with cvs. You can get lockers for the mu-x I will eventually fit front and rear e lockers. 👍

    • @akent46
      @akent46 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      they don't chew CVs more than any other IFS, the Isuzu ones are pretty chunky actually.

    Cool video can I ask what size rims and tyres your running. I have a 2013 dmax with a 2inch lift and I'm running 265/65 on the 17s I want to go up to the next size but stay on the 17s. So yea just wondering how you find them

    • @LowRangeNick
      @LowRangeNick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm running 265/70r17 mud tyres on 17x8.5 positive 7.4mm offset. It's a pretty good setup.

    • @daves6590
      @daves6590 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got 265/65r17 as the guy at the tyre shop said the 265/70s rubbed on the chassis? Do your tyres rub? I don't have any lift though

    • @LowRangeNick
      @LowRangeNick  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daves6590 265/70r17 should be fine, i have heard quiet a few people running them without a lift kit. If you go up to 285/70r17 you need to chop the body mount as it scrubs on there.
