Thank you!! I'm glad you enjoy them and support the channel!! The world builds, tutorials and posing vids are my favorite, but I do really enjoy the single reviews. The community support is greatly appreciated ✨🙌😎🙌✨
It's good to finally have him in the Vintage Collection. Feels long overdue for sure and the Book of Boba Fett version will be welcomed as well when they get to it. He'll definitely photograph well. I also would be interested in seeing how your custom was made as it sounds like a lot went into it. Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next review.
He was wayyy overdue in TVC. Definitely not a bad figure, but yeah I'm pretty into the custom I made, and just need to properly finish the paint apps and weathering.
Great review!! I, for one would like to see a video on how you did your custom. It looks much better. The proportions look loads better as well as the helmet. I'd also like to see you give a custom of Tython Boba Fett a shot. 🔥🔥
Haha yeah, there are few things that could be better for sure. Still a pretty solid release, and thank the force we finally have Cobb Vanth in the line. I also got mine from Walmart as well, but ordered them online. ✨👌😃✌️✨
I was looking at the figure today it really is a great looking one the way he could stand if positioned right and I love how the holster hangs off towards kinda the back of the leg you can see he has that gunslinger stance I just don't like the hoses going to the wrist and the removable armor and rangefinder and his fingers could be a little bit thinner I know he wears gloves just saying a little bit thinner other than that awesome figure!!
Totally agree, and that's my plan for the non custom version. I think I'll toss the extra with my Jawas since they had this armor before they met Vanth. ✨👽✨
Yea I hate that the range finder doesnt swivel...I had to cut mine off, make a small hole on the side of the helmet to fit a small furniture/finish nail in, cut that nail and put it in that hole, and use the pointy part of the nail to insert the range finder on, file the sharp point of the nail and presto, you have a swivel range finder...it ain't perfect, but it works
Same! Like there is no reason this far in the game that we should not be seeing perfect Mandalorian helmets with working rangefinders. Clearly it has been done in the past, so once again, I am rather confused on this move. Nice upgrade! I will probably end up doing something similar. 😎😎🤘
great review I agree with everything you said especially the narrow helmet. So weird that they didn’t just use the 186 helmet, I also swapped mine. What’s even weirder is, if they were thinking ahead, and designed this to be the Marshal version….why not just close the sides of the armor and insert it over the torso and then insert the arms? its no more or less labor during assembly, and there is absolutely no benefit to be able to remove his armor if he has non removable gauntlets. Its a nice figure but just such a bizarre approach
Thanks a bunch!!! Yeah, it's such a weird release all around. I was thinking the same thing about the slip on armor...what are the advantages of splitting it on the sides? It very likely could have been something we could just slip over. Bizarre approach indeed. 😎🤘
I find this figure really underwhelming mostly cuz of the lack of paint, especially since the deluxe tax is allegedly there because of the paint apps. I'd really love to see you do a video going over the process of your custom cuz it definitely looks better. I'd also like to see you go a bit further with it and maybe do a new bandana cuz that still looks too bulky to me, just like the armour on the base figure. He could also really use some washes on his clothes and hair and some more painted details on his pants. These are all just suggestions of course but it'd be cool to see how great you could make this figure.
I feel that, it took a while for me to get to this review simply because I felt like he was kind of mid grade. We wanted this character in TVC for so long, and while I appreciate finally having him, it's not perfect and it needed to be. For sure! I always love suggestions, and was already debating if I wanted to go with a soft goods bandana. I was definitely thinking about adding some washes to the clothes, because he's looking a bit too clean. Especially after I re-watched S2 Ep1 last nite ✨🤘😁🤘✨
Awesome review, I love your custom job, nicely done, it looks much better 👍🏻 I made a custom boba from "the tragedy" , season 2 of the mandalorian using rotj, tusken tribesman and morak boba figures, as on your custom, the upper and lower torso's needed a lot of work to make fit, I had to cut off the top of the morak lower abdomen and fit it to the lower tusken abdomen to get it to fit...but it looks good (video on my channel 😁)
The helmet does look skinny. I wonder if that was an artistic choice to pass along the slenderness of the character? I would recommend drilling a hole for the gauntlet hoses. Glue seems so permanent 😅
It's such an odd helmet, but I was wondering the same thing. Maybe due to Vanth's build? But it still doesn't look great or make a ton of sense. The VC 186 helmet looks way better, and they should have just used the Jango helmet with the working range finder instead. ✨🤘😁🤘✨
@@ToysAreTheWay 100% agree. Makes no sense why they keep creating new molds for this helmet after perfecting for VC186 up through the deluxe BOBF boxed figure. Hopefully when they create the Tython version of Boba with this armor they don't use this helmet.
Since the hips on the VC186 annoy me a lot, using the head from VC186 will be fine by me. I did see a photo comparison somewhere that showed Cobb's actual helmet does look narrower than the Boba helmet used in the tv series. Both actors have different head shapes, so maybe they custom fabricated the helmets for each actor, whether that is logical or not.
Yeah, VC186 is still a great figure, but it's crazy to see how far the tooling and approach has developed in the couple years since then. Interesting, I thought the helmet looked pretty much the same in the show, but I may have to take a second look ✌️😎😎✌️
They aren't B1 Battle droid gummy but they do have some flex to them. But to be honest I think most of our figures are being made from a softer plastic for sue, but I wouldn't say they are too bendy. At least mine haven't been ✨👽✨
This is not a deluxe figure. No reason for a big ugly card other than to give an optical illusion that the customer is getting more. $25, same price as a highly detailed Black Series figure.
Hahaha I think the card is bigger to allow for multiples to be stacked together and fit in a specific box that is a certain width. Therefore allowing them to fix X amount of boxes in a shipping container. A lot of decisions are a result of shipping and retail shelf design. I am not totally down with it, but I get the reasoning behind it. I definitely agree, that for the "deluxe" price and title we should see more. Sure, he is new tooling and it's kind of clear that if we want more new tools, we have to pay, but Cobb could have used more paint apps, and maybe another accessory or two. I think the camotono with the silicax crystals would have been cool. 👊😎🤘
There's always a fumble or mid release, such is the way of the force and collecting. But I totally hear you man, it's been an interesting year, and I know some of us are less than thrilled with some of the choices made. This one bummed me out a little, but there's still a ton of awesome shit on the way that I am pretty hyped for.
@@ToysAreTheWay yea Bro. I dig your attitude, positive is the way. The thing that annoys me is we get a Blurrg and Mando for $38 and this dude is $25, with flames, flames. It’s like getting patches as a Haslab 1st tier!
There was so much anticipation for this character, and it's a really good figure, but just has some odd choices in terms of execution. The helmet is inexcusable though, we should not be seeing slip ups on Mandalorian helmets at this point in TVC, there have been perfect versions prior and this one is simply baffling. ✌️😎😎✌️
This figure looks like garbage for the asking price. They are sitting on the wall at walmart and not selling. Its time for Hasbro to STOP making Star Wars toys because they suck.
It's not my favorite, that's for sure. We waited a long time for Vanth and he needed to be 100% new and perfect. Both versions, armored and non-armored. But Hasbro has delivered some kick ass figures this year so I wouldn't go so far to say that. Other lines like Hammond Collection are cool but no where near the quality we see with TVC. Just sayin ✌️😎😎✌️
These individual figure reviews are great, I'm glad you pivoted to this format alongside your other stuff.

I've done a custom Tython boba, there's a video on my channel 👍🏻
Thanks man!!! Yeah the helmet alone is a huge improvement! I've wanted to try Tython Fett but need another Morak to try that out haha ✨🙌😎🙌✨
I just picked him up at wa😅it's a good figure has it's problems like others but still a pretty good one

The older Boba helmet is miles better. But the headsculpt is so good I'm displaying him without the helmet on.

Hasbro just sent me a message saying his shipment of him was delayed to Nov for me =/.
Go to some of your local Walmarts. I literally found like 10 of him on the pegs at my Walmart
Yeah, Hasbro sent me the same message. I heard he’s hitting Walmart but I haven’t found him in any of my local WM’s yet.
Yeah, I have the same message. I was able to order my set online from Walmart. So that's an option if you don't feel like waiting ✨👌😃✌️✨

Not really as he didnt have that big grey beard when he was the Marshall
Yeah...Again, the paint apps could have really helped with that. I agree he kinda has a wizard beard going on here haha. 👊😎🤘
