You can't guess at timing the engine. The marks MUST be lined up. If you kicked it hard and the piston made contact with the valves, you must likely bent one. Double check the timing. If no compression, you need to pull the head off. Good luck.
Meaning a whole new set of valves and at the price of these things would most likely be more beneficial buying a whole new head with valves and time it correctly the second time round 🤣 trial and error if you fail the first time buy and buy again
Take the engine all the way out. Clean your head better. Put some grinding compound on your valves. After installation adjust your timing PROPERLY. Check you valve clearance. Adjust your tappets as needed. You skipped too many steps.
take the case off and time it the right way. After timing it again crank it over slowly and make sure all the marks line up. If the timing is correct you might have the wrong piston. I've seen online that some other people had the same issue as you and they had to get a different piston. Hope this helps!
I rebuilt the top end on the 150 cc gy6 engine on my gocart and one thing that I've found easier is to put the first 2 compression ring in the cylinder and then slide it on and connect the piston and rod
Bro I think your old head is small for this , see how there’s factory dents for valves on the piston well what happened is your head made for different piston and valves are narrower and need to be wider
I realize this video is old, but those "phillips head" screws strip out because they aren't phillips. They are JIS screws. They look very similar, but they arent
You did it wrong you should've got v2 race head and the 26 mm carb and intake and then the 143 cylinder that stupid to run the 150 kit with the stock carb and air filter
You need to find top dead center using the timing marks on your crankcase and stator you will see a t and f line the t with Mark on crank case (make sure you didn't bend a valve by allowing the piston to strike it btw) if good do the cam like you said put tensioner back rotate motor carefully two full rotation recheck timing marks then you be good to go
It is great that you are attempting to do such work yourself. However, it is important to follow the fundamentals, I would suggest you by the workshop manual for your bike, and follow the guide. Good luck.
Go online and download a PDF file of the owners manual. That should have details on how to time the bike. If the valves are touching the piston and kick it over like that, then your valves are screwed up now.
the magnet has a T point for timing, it needs to ba at 12 0'clock but the front sprocket has a dot whitch needs to be at 9 o'clock.then it should run 100%
You have to hundred percent make make sure everything is top dead center make sure your lobes are down and your valves are loose and make sure piston is top dead center you most likely have it off 180 and that is why it is acting up
I think you should try to time it again and mess with the timing. Also, take off the head and get access to the piston and try to hit it in better with a rubber mallet.
Dude get the timing on that cam chain done correct before trying to tick that engine over youl just set your self up to fail an bugger your valves end up giving your self more work
u never set the valves u set the piston to tdc and then u put the valve wheel on to the mark but the valves wasn't set as u removed the flywheel of the valve setting and when u put the fly wheel on wasn't where it was b4 take of fly wheel set valves then add flywheel to the correct spot

this is why whenever i set the timing i cycle the engine by hand slowly to check if they’re hitting then it doesn’t put pressure on them

Definitely didn't last long
Who has a video doing this right? I want to big bore my Chinese pit bike, but havent found enough info on how to do it to pull the trigger

It's not timed right. You need to get a bigger head, carb, and intake manifold.
You have to fix the timing!!!! If the valves are opening and closing wrong i think thats why they hit the piston.
Keep the big bore and re time it
you should build a SHED next to actually store your bikes
i really like the channel, keep it up!
it will run so much better glad you did it always get rid of all old gaskets scrape it all off all of it
Nice vid
Bro I think your old head is small for this , see how there’s factory dents for valves on the piston well what happened is your head made for different piston and valves are narrower and need to be wider
Lol
Where do you buy your parts i got 1 too but don't know where to get parts help
Wait so you went from 143cc to 150cc? I have a kayo 150 that has a 143 in it. Would like to bump it up but having trouble finding a kit for it
Dang I’d be shocked if that top end didn’t leak some oil. Lol
You got the circle or mark set correct on topdead centre if that's okay it be vavle clearance vavles to tight
I realize this video is old, but those "phillips head" screws strip out because they aren't phillips. They are JIS screws. They look very similar, but they arent
My bore is made of steel or iron and doesnt have a coating on the cyclinder walls is it still useable?
You did it wrong you should've got v2 race head and the 26 mm carb and intake and then the 143 cylinder that stupid to run the 150 kit with the stock carb and air filter
Kyler Bryant that is a really cool setup, but not everyone can dump $500+ on a pit bike motor even though it could be worth it
hes clearly got no clue..... sad waste money...
I wish I had as much money as you.
Always top dead center the piston. then both cam lobes must be facing down! Line up f mark never fails.
should always put a rag around the rod when installing wrist pin clips. I thought I lost one on the ground one time. I was wrong.
Great vid man
Way to keep your head up little man. If at first you don't succeed, follow the instructions. Good luck.
Yo migs I love ur videos
I have a 140 tao tao what big bore kit fits or do you know?
I'd prolly take this videos down before some one follows it and destroys there valves
@motomigs these vids are the best keep up the good work you vids are like drugs addicting

The ssr bikes don’t have marks on the case for timing
Timing is off no need to stack gaskets as you changed bore size not stroke so its not a length issue
wire brush is a good way to clean the grease and dirt and stuff like that off the head
One tooth off on the cam sprocket could cause the piston to “kiss” the valves. Not a problem with the kit just the assembly
Can I big bore a 120cc lifan engine
The the arrow on the piston has to face down and if it's hiting the valves then they are probably all ready bent the timing is out of spec
U need to time it right and adjust your valves also clean out the head properly and maybe try different piston
did u ever get it running>?
What size is the big bore kit
where an i find a new head motor for my dirtbike
Get a 2stroke dirt bike and do a build series on it there only like a grand!
What should I do guys???? - Erm do the timing right.
It is great that you are attempting to do such work yourself. However, it is important to follow the fundamentals, I would suggest you by the workshop manual for your bike, and follow the guide. Good luck.
What big bore kit is it and how much was it?
It finally came in!
Where did you get this kit at?
Search in amazon

Is it the same engine with Kawasaki fury 125?
Nice upgrade👍 but that head is realy restriktive. Try to find ah 125cc head or something bigger;)
Same thing happened when I rebuilt my Honda its timing
You have the timing wrong OR you need to buy a bigger cc cylinder head
Do you think i can put a 140cc or more on my 125cc pitbike an the Engine wont Break?
Did it break
You have to hundred percent make make sure everything is top dead center make sure your lobes are down and your valves are loose and make sure piston is top dead center you most likely have it off 180 and that is why it is acting up
Not timed right, also you tried to guess at it?,,, why, it's not like going out of your way to start it would have taken the most amount of time
Your timing is off
Awesome video Migs. Did you ever get a bigger head or fkx timming?? Awesome work bro. Keep it up
I never use a tork wrench
You spelled torque wrong.
You been two vowels in it you always have to comment all the work is necessary no shortcuts
Yes finaly
Gotta check the ring gap!!
Does this kit fit on a small Chinese atv? its a 110cc engine
Shave a tad off length of valve the stem that gets pushed maesure old ones and match.
Stacking gaskets is stupid and won't help in any way. Your timing is off a tooth or two and you may need the valves adjusted.
I think you should try to time it again and mess with the timing. Also, take off the head and get access to the piston and try to hit it in better with a rubber mallet.
Let someone else
Repair it
LMAO PRICELESS
Dude get the timing on that cam chain done correct before trying to tick that engine over youl just set your self up to fail an bugger your valves end up giving your self more work
He said F how It turn out.
you can get metal spacers and then put a gasket on each side of the spacer
I think i just lost iq points watching this
vavle clearance needs doing
Couldnt you just take a picture of what the timing before you install the big bore then put it exactly at that same point?
If its tymed off that much you will bend your valves
Watch a few build videos
u never set the valves u set the piston to tdc and then u put the valve wheel on to the mark but the valves wasn't set as u removed the flywheel of the valve setting and when u put the fly wheel on wasn't where it was b4 take of fly wheel set valves then add flywheel to the correct spot
Buy a new head to suit the big bore this will fix your problem and ad more power
I got a Kawasaki klx 110 2wheeler today
Tracey Mitchell a KLX110 is the same as this bike if you didn’t know
The gold chain is more better for pit bikes
It's going to take a while
No idea....
You need to get a bigger carb
Try to time it the right way
time it correctly
Worst how-to ever.
Or:
The best guide how not to fit a big bore.
You pick...
You need to fix the timing
Just time it correctly
Use a yx150 head then ur in the clear
G. J
KEEP THE BIGBORE
Just time it properly
701 view
timings off
You have to rejet
Might help having a brain and a basic knowledge of engines
Please don't work on grass man
Towrk
You should. Do a give. Away on your pit bike
Gerick Ball or maybe you should go buy your own 😂
so silly don't even pull the engine out off it to do it properly
Third
gay is OK
7th
8th
Your timing is off
