People in the comments always ask how long my projects take. This one was about 100 hours compressed into a single week. The things I do for you people!
This is wild! Way to make an engaging action sequence. I didn’t notice the gun jutting out at all. The details on the control room shot (getting so the angles) really sells it. I’m leaving a note for myself here to not underestimate the power of empties and constraints.
Man you're incredible! I'm just starting out and it shows how accessible it is to anybody to make a 3d animated video. Thank you so much and keep doing these kinds of breakdown. I love it!
Awesome! also the with the Easy HDRI plugin you can easily replace the background to a solid or blurred and maybe that would fix the reflection problem
These videos are so fun and interesting. Slightly punchier sound effects could have added to the excitement; that that is a nitpick. The short focal length gives a cool, miniature look to the scenes; like Captain Scarlet. Thanks for sharing this. Your line delivery in your videos is a so soothing and relaxing.
It's not the kick from a shotgun that you have to worry about, it's that damn pump action, it kicks like a mule! All joking aside, this is a very good "failure" (as you put it) and it seems like you learned a lot during the process, which is always a success in my book
WOW! That animation is so cool!! The drifts were a bit iffy sometimes (some were too fast or too slow to rotate the car) but the whole animation was very good! I really liked the tunnel sequence with the music sync to end the chase.
Yeah I would say some of the animation can still be tweked further, for example the car wouldn't stay that low to the ground for that long, right after initiating the drift the ride height jumps up more
I think you can use the Is transmission output of the light path node for a second Mix node between the background textures or maybe Add the Is camera and Is transmission values together directly... Not quite sure though, I would need to double check this later on. Or you can try to disable transmission in the ray visibility settings of the World.
I completely forgot about the voice acting until I was putting the final animation together. I kind of wish I'd just paid a professional to do it for me, but it's only a small part of the clip so I'm not too bothered.
0:26 It looks off, I would add a what are the shooters aiming at scene. The gun panel would need some thickness. 0:49 It's a drop off, it should get a bit of air and some bounce as it turns and should add some revving of the engine as he's on the clutch and brakes. 0:54 too much fish tailing. To make the shot more interesting when backing up in the tunnel launch the missile but don't stop cut to the exterior of the tunnel and the whole explosion blasting out with the reversing car just escaping the massive blast.
WOW, impressive! The only observation that I could make is that some textures looks "plastiky" when they shouldn't, mostly a Cycles problem I think... But the whole animation is just impressive!
amazing outstanding and brilliant but just some tips I think will help elevate the sequences a lot more motion blur more chaotic camera shake and also let the camera drag behind the car as if the car is moving past the camera faster this gives the action a sense of urgency and speed, so that even the camera can't catch the car in the frame and as people pointed out, more close ups awesome work +1
Super awesome video. Just what I was looking for, for my project. I loved every bit of it. BTW, the Shakify (By Ian Hubert) addon link you mentioned in the video is missing in the description.
The cars have really clean topology. So I just selected the door faces and separated them into a new object, then I moved the origin to the edge where the hinge would be so the door can rotate open.
Do you use any settings while using the image plane i dont know for some weird reasons my images dont seem in place while i am using them can you help me on this
Hey im currently making my blender portfolio and I'm thinking of putting some environment, hardsurface modelling, and some fx along with one live shot with cg elements composited.... Any suggestions as to what may look simple yet still brilliant?
Anything sci-fi will usually work. The design language of sci-fi let's you get away with murder. Everything is covered in greebles and flashing lights. You can quickly make something look far more complex than it actually is.
awsome work. you don't have to at all. But using the Mitch model from XNALara DeviantArt as the longest survivor of his group, could you possibly create a horror survival movie where all the charactors are hunted and killed off one by one with Mitch as the last one to die using the models from TWD final season along with all the other DeviantArt TWD final season models like Willy Aasim James Marlon Tennessee Louis Omar AJ Minerva Clementine Violet Brody Ruby? And if that's too much work instead could possibly create a walking through a map adventure of Mitch and Minerva? Killing zombies too?
People in the comments always ask how long my projects take. This one was about 100 hours compressed into a single week. The things I do for you people!
It's true, you are a star indeed and I appreciate the inspiration.
Oh what I would do to have more of your time.
Does it include making 3d models too?
What do you mean you people is it because I am black (btw it's a joke)
@@xactionstudio5336 I think jokes are supposed to be funny
@@RubenStegeman ahh damn I tried my best
This style of video is so useful to me as a beginner, it’s not a tutorial but lets you pick up so much small pieces of information
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing! Just some (hopefully helpful) feedback: making the camera move more will let the chase scene appear much more dynamic, also more closeups.
Yeah, I would have used twice as many cuts in the animation if I had time.
The characters looked great, I'll have to give that add on a try.
No words to express this !!!! You never fail to amaze me....
Love it. Such an inspiration
Nicely done. Definitely lots of good work and using the cinematic tricks always help
Thanks. I've been aiming for a more cinematic look recently.
This is insane!
Thanks!
Wow ! Overwhelmed but inspired:)

Yeah, you can do so much with constraints. I haven't even uncovered the potential of half of them.
This video is insane, great job bro
VERY nicely done.
Thank you! Cheers!

MAN! Incredible work! Hats off to you sir👊🏻
Thanks a ton!
this goofy looking car animation is so good lmao i loved it
great video as always
I'll keep this tutorial in mind, if I ever decide to make an action game/animated short film
I did notice the leaves and thought they were a nice touch.
Awesome!
also the with the Easy HDRI plugin you can easily replace the background to a solid or blurred and maybe that would fix the reflection problem
Nah, the problem still exists unfortunately.

I bloody loved captain scarlet when I was a kid. I had the mysteron toys and everything.
Wow, really amazing!
Thanks a lot!

Nice! The concept D is a pretty cool machine
Great video as well as explanation👍
Good work - a bit of tire smoke would have added some gritty realism.

It's new better version of James Bond of all of James Bondes))

As for the world reflections, try swapping the inputs of the mix shader, and using "Is Reflection Ray" instead of camera ray
14:16 if I slow down the animation by 200, do I have to render twice as many Frames?
yes.
WOW, impressive!

Man I think this one of the best blender videos ever.. do you give lessons online or do you just do this on TH-cam?? If so link it
Just youtube and patreon for now.
add another mix shader with the refractive light path and mix the plain color to that to hide the hdri from the glass.
amazing outstanding and brilliant

Still wondering how you managed to cut out the doors of the Mustang despite Traffiq cars not being modular.
The cars have really clean topology. So I just selected the door faces and separated them into a new object, then I moved the origin to the edge where the hinge would be so the door can rotate open.
@@DECODEDVFX Damn, that must've been hard.
The animation is epic but how is a person in a left seated car driving on the left side of the road?
Do you use any settings while using the image plane i dont know for some weird reasons my images dont seem in place while i am using them can you help me on this
No, just default settings. You can always try unwrapping the plane again after you import the image.
From where you got sound effects please help
Mostly freesound.org
Awesome tutorial 😎😎
How long does it take you to render?
Mention your pc specs.. bro
Waiting for the next tutorial bro,👍👍
