I am from Zamboanga City, where all of those shots, sceneries, food, history, architecture, arts and crafts, and people from Zamboanga came from. Our city is a multilingual, multicultural, multi-religious, and multi-ethnic salad bowl or melting pot. It is also a very or highly Hispanized (Spanish-influenced) place, where most or majority of the people speaks a native Spanish creole language that is quite similar to Spanish. It is also influenced by other people and places in the Philippines, especially by the indigenous people such as Subanens and Samas or Bajaus, other natives and locals of the Philippines like Cebuanos, Ilonggos, and Tagalogs, by Muslim or Islamic groups of people such as Tausugs, Yakans, and also Samas or Bajaus, and by the very or highly Spanish influenced local and native Spanish-creole speaking Zamboangueños, who are the majority of the people group in the city. Aside from Spanish or Hispanic and from native, local, indigenous, and other Philippine influences, it is also influenced by American, Mexican, other Asian, and some Islamic cultures and influences, especially from the Middle East, and from Southeast Asia such as from Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Thank you for your elaborate comment! We love multicultural/multi-ethnic places, especially when it is all in harmony. We should definitely visit and check it out for ourselves. Thanks again for the info! 🙏

In Zamboanga City, we do and serve paellas in some restaurants because of our very, heavy, or highly Hispanized (aka Spanish-influenced) culture, influences, and traditions. The majority of the people here even speak a Spanish creole language or a creole language based on Spanish or with way many Spanish words, terms, phrases, and vocabularies compared to other languages of the Philippines, and even Spanish speakers are able to understand us and our native language, and sometimes we can have a conversation with native Spanish speakers even they will speak or use Spanish while we will use our Spanish creole language. This creole language is called Chavacano, Chavacano de Zamboanga, or Zamboangueño Chavacano. It is the only Spanish creole language in Asia, and one of the oldest creole languages in the world. It is also the most unique native or locally-spoken and used language in the Philippines that is also not considered as a foreign language, and the most thriving variant of Chavacano is the one spoken and used in our city of Zamboanga, out of the three left or still exisitng variants or varieties of Chavacano in the Philippines. Three other variants or varieties of this Spanish creole language already died and is now considered linguistically extinct.
I"m born and raise in Siargao. There a lot of small beautiful small island u can visit in Siargao like Sohoton, Daku, Magpupungko and Lianuza. Cloud 9 in Siargao is the area where u can surf.

I hope the new airport in Bulacan will be operational soon because transportation fare will be much cheaper and young people like you will enjoy our nature.
I'm sure we will fall in love with the nature. We like hiking in Europe, but it is just different. Can't wait to travel again. Thank you for your comment 🙏
This video reflects different cultures and beautiful scenery in a country of 7641 islands and highlighted the different regions from the 3 main islands of Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao. Most Filipinos have not even explored these places eventhough they've lived there all their lives because it is a massive archipelago. Every island is different from the other. It's like exploring the world in one country! We have the remnants of the Spanish era, Japanese, Chinese culture is very much alive, as well as the Western, but most of all the local culture is very much different, we speak different dialects then we unite as one using our own national language which is tagalog! FYI, fireflies in the video is real, nothing is fake I can assure you that!!!😊
The one in Catriona's video about Mindanao was in South Cotabato of the Soccsksargen Region or Region 12. It is from one of the indigenous, local, or native tribes from there. That one from the Zamboanga tourism video is from the Yakan people, which is an indigenous, native, or local tribe (partly Islamic), originally from the province of Basilan, but are also in Zamboanga City, and forms as one of the 5 main groups of people or tribes of Zamboanga City: Zamboangueños, Tausugs, Samas or Bajaus, Subanens, and Yakans. Now, the city also have Cebuanos, Ilonggos, and other Visayan people, and also people from other parts of the Philippines and the world.
"Windmills right on the beach" ,you questioned? They were constructed along the beach to make the propellers rotate consistently by the wind to make a clean (with no carbon or gases) electrical supply to a city. They are also called as wind farms or turbines. There are a lot of them here in the US even constructed right on the desert in California. Have you not seen one in your country? I hope you don't think of them like the windmills of Netherlands.
the video is by regions from the northern to the southern. some of the region names are actually portmanteaus for example CALABARZON is CAvite LAguna BAtangas Rizal and QueZON MIMAROPA is Mindoro MArinduque ROmblon and PAlawan. We have many other region names that are portmanteaus like SOCCSKSARGEN etc...
all these clips are from youtube vloggers you can search each region from region 1 to 13 , SOCKSARGEN,MIMAROPA ,BICOL, western, eastern, central visayas, This is not a WELL BUDGET promotion , all this videos came from TRAVEL vloggers also , like for example two french in manila ,
The Ads were actually a series that features the different site attractions of each REGION which you can see at the left uppermost of the video and provinces indicated at the end : ILOCOS REGION = Ilocos + Pangasinan + La Union CORDILLERA REGION = Ifugao + Kalinga + Apayao + Benguet + Mountain Province CENTRAL LUZON = Bulacan + Pampanga + Nueva Ecija + Tarlac + Zambales CALABARZON = CAVITE + LAGUNA + BATANGAS + RIZAL + QUEZON MIMAROPA = Mindoro + Marinduque + Romblon + Palawan
Speaking of fireflies, I've seen so much fireflies from a tree when I was a kid, I thought it's just Christmas lights, I'm not even exaggerating it's so bright, but it's a real fireflies! The haluhalo (aka halo-halo) thing you saw in the Zamboanga tourism video is not really a haluhalo, but called "Knicker Bucker", and unlike haluhalo it is made up of other sliced tropical fruits such as mangoes, plain bananas, watermelon, etc. with squares of jellies just like in haluhalo (usually of different colors), served with milk just like in haluhalo (usually sweetened evaporated milk), but then topped with strawberry ice cream. Haluhalo on the other hand doesn't have mangoes and watermelon, and it contains crushed ice, various sweetened beans, sweetened bananas, sweetened jackfruit, and other things (like macapuno, nata de coco, kaong, and pinipig), and topped with leche flan and ube ice cream. Zamboanga City is quite well-known for this dessert, but is usually mistaken by foreigners and even by other Filipinos for a haluhalo dessert. This dessert is also, I say, unique and started in Zamboanga City or got famous first in Zamboanga City, even it is accordingly of a foreign origin from the first food business who introduced or made a Philippine version of it here in our city, from the foreign dessert which they got inspiration from. I also think that the name of this dessert is also foreign. I just forgot from which foreign dessert, brand, food business, or country this dessert got its name and inspiration from.
Wow, the more you know. We should definitely try the "Knicker Bucker". It would be nice to actually do a side-by-side comparison. Taste test both 🙏 Thank you for informing us!
@@pinoyroots It's my pleasure to help and inform. ✌😊 I just learned recently that it was based on a dessert called "Knickerbocker Glory" from the United Kingdom. 😁 Also, I just recently know that the spelling of the dessert is "Knickerbocker", and not "Knicker Bucker" like the way I initially spelled it. I am sorry with that. 😅
@@pinoyroots At first, the dessert is just mainly the sweetened evaporated milk, diced sweet and ripe Filipino magoes, diced watermelons, and sliced plain bananas, with strawberry ice cream on top, but now there are other new changes, variations, and or add-ons to the dessert like adding diced apples, sweet corn kernels, multi-colored or single-colored diced jellies, and replacing with sweetened condensed milk instead of the sweetened evaporated milk, and also topped with vanilla ice cream instead of the strawberry one. I guess other local restaurants and food businesses who adopted the dessert through the years also made some other versions or variations of it such as by altering or changing some few ingredients or by adding new things to it while still keeping its core.
CALABARZON are the provinces of cavite, laguna, batangas, rizal and quezon ptovince. These provinces are near to each other. MIMAROPA are the provinces of mindoro, marinduque, romblon and palawan, they are also near to each other.
Some of the videos, they get it from the vloggers... that's why some of the vloggers are there...its not from the DOTr itself..but a contribution from the vloggers who've been in the Philippines for at least 6 months or some tourists who are there during lockdown. Hoping pandemic will be over soon....😊
Dream and wake up in the 17 regions of the Philippines, composed of 81 provinces and 36 independent cities to choose from and to go to. Each with distinct, unique, diverse, varied, and blended cultures, people, etc. As we can't yet go and travel that well and free, just stay at home, stay safe, stay healthy, stay sane, and just dream for now to wake up in this majestic country.
It’s 83 provinces now Palawan was already divided into 3 provinces just waiting for the completion of their plebiscite if I’m not mistaken. The law was already signed by the President.
@@arielpagaran1117 Thanks a lot po for letting me know. I just based my info and data from the current resources or sources I had searched, and I guess that they still didn't updated those during the time I retrieved these info and data. ✌😊 Maraming Salamat po!
@@arielpagaran1117 I knew and heard of this plebiscite and plan back then on dividing the province of Palawan into three provinces, and then separating the City of Puerto Princesa as it is an independent city, but I didn't know that it already happened, because I also never heard about it in the national news since then until recently. Also, if the province of Palawan was truly and already divided into three separate provinces, plus the independent city of Puerto Princesa, then there's also a big chance for a new administrative region in the Philippines, and the entire Palawan and its other smaller islands under their authority and jurisdiction can be separated from the rest of Mimaropa or Southwestern Tagalog Region aka Region IV-B. Mimaropa will just be Mimarom and Palawan could have and be in its own separate and new administrative region. ✌😊
@@artesiningart4961 as i mentioned the plebiscite seems not yet done. Should yes vote prevail doesn’t mean Palawan will have its own regional grouping, he is still part of the Region 4B or MIMAROPA block unless a certain law passed by congress. As a law itself the division of Palawan already signed but needs for final and most important catalyst - ratification by it’s populace. By the way another province for division is awaiting congress approval now rolling at the lower house. Watch out for Maguindanao.
So many provinces is mindblowing. Great advice, we just dream of waking up in the Philippines until we can actually wake up in the Philippines. Great ads like these help us in doing so! Well done dept. of tourism PH
Haha, yes can't believe we are getting close to 10k, we are very grateful of all the subs and viewers. 🙏 There are many places I still want to visit, maybe Laguna will be included in my next trip to PH.
Hi bro, those barbecued chicken you see in the video is called Inasal it is famous in the Phillipines but it is originated here in our city in Bacolod the capital city of Negros Occidental and moreover, those desserts you have seen are called Napoleones and that ube is a Piaya, it is flavored right ube and chocolate, particularly found only in Bacolod hehe and no bro it not a mountain that you have seen in Bicol it is a volcano, known as the the perfect cone shaped volcano😉. If you would like to visit here I could be a tour guide to you... I could show you more authentic foods here not seen in the video. Filipinos are waiting on you to come here you will amaze our hospitality and friendliness. 😊😊😊
This WAKE UP SERIES of the Tourism Department is not yet done. They are releasing one region every few weeks. Some Regions are not yet featured like BANGSAMORO, CARAGA, DAVAO REGIONS.
Palawan is in Mimaropa Region and one of its constituent province, Boracay is in Western Visayas Region and is an island part of the province of Aklan in that region, Zamboanga refers to Zamboanga City in the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, and Siargao is in Caraga Region and is an island part of the province of Surigap del Norte in that region. Unfortunately, there were no tourism ads for the Cagayan Valley Region, and for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. I don't know why. I even checked the official TH-cam channel of the Department of Tourism of the Philippines, but I never found any tourism ad for these regions there that's related to these 2020 tourism ads.
Maybe those regions will still be published on a later date? I think with that many regions and islands, it is difficult to showcase everything the Philippines has to offer. Hopefully we will see more in the near future.
@@pinoyroots Yeah. I think so. By the way, Davao Region is also not included in the video compilation of 2020 Philippine tourism ads. I really forgot mentioning Davao Region too. ✌

SOCCSKSARGEN; SOuth Cotabato,Cotabato,Sultan Kudarat,SARangani, and GENeral santos Siargao is an island in the province of Surigao del Norte in Eastern Mindanao in CARAGA region I believe there are more ads coming out,as these are few of the cities/provinces by regions Haven't seen much of regions from Northern Luzon which are the Cagayan valley region and NCR also other cities/provinces in Eastern Mindanao; CARAGA region,Davao Region, and on the South West of Mindanao the Bangsamoro Region

We locals also shortened soccsksargen to just "SOX". Because it's hard to pronounce it completely.
Yeh, we tried to pronounce it and we agree 😅. SOX is way easier

Hi guys! I am from Bataan! That was a nice province ! You should go there when you visit the Philippines!🤩
I used to play firefly when i was young its like exmas lights on a big tree
Those rice terraces are called Banaue. Along with others from the Mountain Province, they are the oldest, highest elevated and widest in the world (that if you put them end to end, would encircle half the globe).
Good to know! That is insane, good for a trivia as well. The rice terraces are so picturesque, should definitely explore that area in the future.
@@pinoyroots Been there. You definitely should prepare your hiking boots though.
FYI, Banaue rice terraces is one of 8th wonder of the world and where Thanos' last scene was shot in the Avengers infinity war👍
Thank you Pinoy Roots for appreciating your country. Hope you can visit again and explore 7,641 islands of fun.
I subscribed to your Channel, love it.

The white thing you saw is our national museum located near Luneta Park!
You see it by yourself. You will really be amaze. I have seen several places in Europe but nature here in our country is so beautiful and unique. I never been in so many places here but where I had vacation it gives different vibes. You will love it.
By your reaction, I would say you guys can't wait to go to Siargao.
Is it that obvious? Haha, yes, we will definitely go there on our next trip to the Philippines
FYI, fireflies in the video is real, nothing is fake I can assure you that!!!😊
Wow, well said. "Exploring the world in one country" sums up how diverse the Philippines is, and how much it has to offer. Thank you for your comment.
Wow, my two beautiful provinces from Northern Mindanao region were also featured, MisOr and Bukidnon my home. I miss my home sweet home in Bukidnon❤
The white interior structure you saw there is the National Museum
Thank you, will visit some day I'm sure!
Their so many interesting and unique places in palawan that are considered so beautiful. You can never see this anywhere in the world.
FIREFLY WATCHING IS IN PALAWAN, BOHOL & SORSOGON...
THOSE FIREFLIES IN THE VIDEO ARE REAL!
I hope you don't think of them like the windmills of Netherlands.
the video is by regions from the northern to the southern. some of the region names are actually portmanteaus for example
CALABARZON is CAvite LAguna BAtangas Rizal and QueZON
MIMAROPA is Mindoro MArinduque ROmblon and PAlawan. We have many other region names that are portmanteaus like SOCCSKSARGEN etc...
Very good to know. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. 🙏
MIMAROPA is another south west region of NCR which is also an acronym for MIndoro, MArinduque, ROmblon, and PAlawan...
all these clips are from youtube vloggers you can search each region from region 1 to 13 , SOCKSARGEN,MIMAROPA ,BICOL, western, eastern, central visayas, This is not a WELL BUDGET promotion , all this videos came from TRAVEL vloggers also , like for example two french in manila ,

The Ads were actually a series that features the different site attractions of each REGION which you can see at the left uppermost of the video and provinces indicated at the end :
ILOCOS REGION = Ilocos + Pangasinan + La Union
CORDILLERA REGION = Ifugao + Kalinga + Apayao + Benguet + Mountain Province
CENTRAL LUZON = Bulacan + Pampanga + Nueva Ecija + Tarlac + Zambales
CALABARZON = CAVITE + LAGUNA + BATANGAS + RIZAL + QUEZON
MIMAROPA = Mindoro + Marinduque + Romblon + Palawan
Palawan is very huge. Divided into two. Coron and elnido. Both are beautiful in their ways.
When the girl said feeling the real heat" she meant the spices in the food. Bicol is known for their spicy cuisines.

Karsten .. you must look on JuicyVlogs own tourism ads entry for philippines..u would love it am sure.
Anyway.. theres no tourist that could tell d world that they had finish exploring 7'641 islands of d philippines 😅😂😂
Hahah you are totally right! That would be a life long exploration to visit all islands, and even then it would be an accomplishment 😂😂. But hopefully we can try to visit as much as possible in our lifetimes. We have added the JuicyVlogs tourism ad to our list, not sure when we will watch it so I can't make any promises yet of when it will be on the channel. Thanks Verra for the suggestion. 🙏
@@pinoyroots u can just look it urself.. it's up to u if u like to upload it on ur own.
@@pinoyroots
It's my pleasure to help and inform. ✌😊
I just learned recently that it was based on a dessert called "Knickerbocker Glory" from the United Kingdom. 😁
Also, I just recently know that the spelling of the dessert is "Knickerbocker", and not "Knicker Bucker" like the way I initially spelled it. I am sorry with that. 😅
@@pinoyroots
At first, the dessert is just mainly the sweetened evaporated milk, diced sweet and ripe Filipino magoes, diced watermelons, and sliced plain bananas, with strawberry ice cream on top, but now there are other new changes, variations, and or add-ons to the dessert like adding diced apples, sweet corn kernels, multi-colored or single-colored diced jellies, and replacing with sweetened condensed milk instead of the sweetened evaporated milk, and also topped with vanilla ice cream instead of the strawberry one. I guess other local restaurants and food businesses who adopted the dessert through the years also made some other versions or variations of it such as by altering or changing some few ingredients or by adding new things to it while still keeping its core.
They are showing regions in Philippines with provinces' name at the end of each ad.
philippines is the chosen Land of God,thats why it is made of many islands, very loving people, the servants of God.
Yeah from Nueva Ecija hir part of Central Luzon and we are The Rice Granary of the Philippines. Nueva Ecija is the largest producer of Palay.
they should also represented mute people instead of talking sign language is being highlighted. the French guys give me the idea
Actually in central luzon part the lake that you can see is the actual crater of a volcano. Which erupted in 1992. Search for Mount Pinatubo.
Just Googled it, looks amazing! Definitely something I want to visit.
CALABARZON are the provinces of cavite, laguna, batangas, rizal and quezon ptovince. These provinces are near to each other. MIMAROPA are the provinces of mindoro, marinduque, romblon and palawan, they are also near to each other.
You are right, that white thing is a museum.
Some of the videos, they get it from the vloggers... that's why some of the vloggers are there...its not from the DOTr itself..but a contribution from the vloggers who've been in the Philippines for at least 6 months or some tourists who are there during lockdown. Hoping pandemic will be over soon....😊
DOT(Department of Tourism which made this ad) for tourism while DOTr(Department of Transportation) for transport sector(air, land and sea).
I see, great to see them contributing. Yes, let's hope the pandemic will be over soon so we can go back to regular life. 🙏
Socsargen is From General Santos City - Part of Mindanao Philippines.
The high ceiling museum in metro manila is the National Museum of Natural History
@@arielpagaran1117
Thanks a lot po for letting me know. I just based my info and data from the current resources or sources I had searched, and I guess that they still didn't updated those during the time I retrieved these info and data.
✌😊 Maraming Salamat po!
@@arielpagaran1117
I knew and heard of this plebiscite and plan back then on dividing the province of Palawan into three provinces, and then separating the City of Puerto Princesa as it is an independent city, but I didn't know that it already happened, because I also never heard about it in the national news since then until recently.
If u want to enjoy and wake up in the Philippines much better u came here summer season

Yes, more power to the Philippines!! 💪🇵🇭
