I agree 100% of the role of mother being devalued. I remember when I was staying home with my four sons and asked why I didn't get my son's report card when some other women did, and the teacher looked at me and said, those mom's got their kids report cards tonight, because "they work." I thought to myself, "yeah, I stay home twiddling my thumbs."

I keep thinking of Dave Hickey when I hear Paglia talking about pop culture and especially beauty- a subject they both were writing about in the 90's. It would be interesting to see them in the same room.

Yes, I would love to have been able to study while I was a stay at home mom. But I couldn't.

She's one of the very few to challenge Paglia, which makes it more interesting. Being an interviewer isn't about sitting in a chair and just nodding.

your ignorance is astounding....the interviewer is a fan of Paglia, and she is exuberant by Paglia's presence...

For thousands of centuries Men have been in charge and have made good and bad decisions but things have changed since the beginning of the 20th century being modern over traditional has actually started change for the worse because change must be at the same pace as our understanding of things as they change. But this change of women being equal to men just because is the worst thing that is happening to mankind because the change is beyond what we can understand. A sudden death in the family is the same effect as women wanting to be equal to men is doing to society of today. The enjoyment of death is going to be one of many that's going to change mankind. I see that things are going to get worse and it's women who are going to pay the biggest price. Because men have been paying for thousands of years now it's going to be women who's turn it is to pay for rapid change. There are no great women in the world to explain to everyone else what's happening so there's no one to listen to so women are going to not see it coming.

Interviewer doesn`t show proper boundaries in an interview. It`s not a debate or a coffee table discussion.

not at all, Hoff Sommers and Paglia won the argument against the issue of third wave feminism in the early 90s
