When buddy walked out of the room, I got tears 😢 seeing him.
We also spayed our pet. We had a tough time as she was very uncomfortable with the cone. My daughter took 15 days leave just to b with her all the time.

Poor Buddy. Get well soon Buddy. God bless you. Thank you Buddy's parents for all the info. I have an English lab just like Buddy and he is 4+ years old. It's true that the best age to neuter or spay is after 2 years to allow the growth hormones do their job..later the better. I am not against neutering. It is purely a choice made by the owner and I respect that. Our vet did not push us and we've had dogs always and never fixed them nor did they have puppies and they lived a long life without testicle cancer. It's all about how the dog is kept...holistic the better. Also genes play a role. Cancer can happen due to many reasons like you said. Our vet did not say that it extends 4 years. Infact neutering is a human convenience. People neuter hoping their dogs will calm down or may not end up having accidental pregnancy. Infact spaying is a better choice for female dog owners due to fear of Pyometra but many vets (like ours) suggest OSS in that case which is basically Ovary spare surgery in which the dog won't get pregnant but will have the organs still there for the hormones to do their job. The info you provided is very informative. Buddy is lucky to have such loving parents.

Neutering and spaying centre's are a must in all major cities. Strays need to be neutered and spayed PAINLESSLY AND HUMANELY WITHOUT CAUSING SUFFERING TO ANIMALS....and citizens can get it done themselves. Hospitals and vets should charge reasonably and do this exercise humanely. Good knowledgeable video. Keep it up giving various knowledge to people.

@@bhavnagurung8154 I got it done when she was 7-8 months old. I good advise from 4-5 vets and everyone said the same thing. We took care of her after surgery real well so she was much better in one week. Cone has to be worn at all time which is a bit difficult for them and they try to get rid of it all the time.

A vet said " Rich dogs come at rich expenses, they get food and comforts at some price of their freedoms and choices. Street dogs stay well too given just the food. A happy trust bond is at stake too in the pets minds. They might still move their tails but their feelings are stake. A small happy life is more ". He looked totally against this practice. Am confused now on to do it or not to.

Food and water is avoided before any surgery so that the stomach remains empty. anaesthetic drugs may cause nausea and the patient may vomit and can aspirate under sedation .once recovered from anaesthesia reflexes come back and patient can eat

Hi Rajat & Shilpa, Wishing Buddy a speedy recovery. I also got Miles(Lab) neutered last 3 weeks ago. And it was tough for me to leave him in the hospital and then see him with the cone. I can imagine your emotions too. Lots of love to Buddy bhai. Wearing this cone was bit challenging for Miles because he is a love outdoor and sniff a lot. Better to keep him in side for a week. You can actually tie the "patti" with his harness top hook to support more because cone is very heavy for the head. Lots of love.

Neutering your dog is a personal choice. I know many vets recommend it because they gonna make money out of it. I know testicular cancer is also a concern but people have to understand it’s most in the diet. There are lot of other side effects of neutering like joint problem especially in big dogs. After neutering they tend to put on weight. Also, they become less playful because all their energy is gone. Nothing against the video you have pretty much summed up all the info you got from vets but more extensive genetic testing to be done before neutering to see if the dog is prone to a testicular cancer or just cut down their balls for the heck of it.
Right why put poor baby in pain be as God created . Can we do same to our children no na then why these speechless babies they trust us don't break their trust for ur some comfort

I have a 3yr old labrador, I haven't got it neutered and will not get it done, I want Him to live quality life and enjoy the way naturally, I sometimes get frustrated because he has a worst habit of Marking, in 40 mins of walk he goes upto 20 times,that's something which I had to make peace with, only good thing is he never pees inside or around the house
I got my Lab neutered 1 year ago but don't see any weight gain or reduced energy. He's as playful as he was before. Nothing against you, just sharing my experience 🙂

Hey , Shilpa and rajat , i asked a lot of vets and did some research , and I found that neutered dogs more or less probably live 1 year longer than non - neutered ones , (ofc even this is not a 100 percent accurate but most probably the case) but I never found anyone saying they would add 4 yrs of life to the dog? like no one , and when I asked if it was even possible they said no , it won't add 4 yrs , Max to max 1- 1.5 yrs depending on individual... So ur vet saying buddy will live 4 more years is just concerning to some degree , i am sure that you did your research too and believe in ur vet so I won't tell u that u made a mistake or something , i just wanted to let u know a second opinion , i mean not that anything can be changed now but u probably still believe buddy will live 4 more years , so having a second opinion maybe better , either way he will probably live extra time with you so enjoy ! ❤

Neutering a dog is soo expensive in US. No wonder they are telling you guys to get it done, its a business. In India, its really cheap and no one suggests to get it done unless necessary. So I think money changes opinion of doctors. Anyways take care of buddy and love him.

Hi, I got my Bruno (lab) neutered at age of 1yr 6 mths. Can definitely say with experience that it's very beneficial to get them neutered. I didn't see any weight gain coz we managed to maintain good n balanced diet. Also, he had no behavioral changes or reduced energy in his activities. As playful as he was before. I agree we're interfering their natural life by neutering or spaying but it's for their healthy life.
