I have pen, but I got some wrist issues now so I only use mouse so I don’t get good enough to get addicted again. (I was addicted while a mouse player, so I never got to be addicted with a tablet buff.)
4:16 if you don't have grip tape just wrapping a bunch of rubber bands around your pen works just as well 10:05 "rewind" by abstrakt8 works really well for looking at misses also and how you aimed. it's basically what replays in osu should be with going frame by frame and being able to rewind or disable hidden
I played with my pen a little with my hands and broke it in half, still works though. I use tape to stick the parts together, and it kind off works like grip tape
honestly hearing the changing your skin thing is something not a lot of people seem to think about when it comes to mindblock, or just to generally improve. ive found that some skins make it a lot easier to play, and constantly switching up my skin has made me improve a bit. or, if all else fails, grab a skin from a high rank player
number 14 is super important. I'm a pretty new player and having a mindset of "I will be #1 someday" keeps me from getting discouraged when I struggle with high 4 star maps
6:40 I usually have it set like that, but I found that, depending on the map, it's sometimes beneficial to do the exact opposite, to hear the song more closely. If you're have trouble accing a map, messing with the music volume is a good idea in general.

I just play mouse + no mods + osu lazer and I've been doing so for years now. Getting rid of PP made me enjoy the game so much more. Sure, I've decayed over 40K rank, but not focusing on rank has made me so much healthier about the game. I'm not posting scores like I used to playing stable, but I also find that by regular play I no longer have to push myself nearly as hard to get those kinds of scores. I have almost no mind block, and I'm much more comfortable pushing my comfort zone because my consistency in play means that as long as I'm reading well, then my accuracy will showcase that rather than chasing the dreaded FC that the games entire ranked system is based around. (Seriously though, the fact that a 1 miss on a 6 star rated map gives you less rewards than an FC on a 4 star map has always been a major peeve for me when I played stable and looked at PP. It's a system that encourages breaking it with farm maps and never playing outside your comfort zone). Yeah, I'm still dog water at the game by community standards for sure. I mean seriously I've had the game since 2017 and haven't put up a single 300 PP score, with my average readable consistency between 5.5-6.2 star maps in that I can do these maps with an accuracy between 93-97. I can't stream anything over 200 bpm without mashing and I still shit miss in strides. But I've never had more fun with the game than I've ever had in all my years of play in this last year alone. I personally stepped away from the side of the game that tunnel visions on PP. To me, it feels like that section of the community doesn't understand the game they're playing and would willingly turn off the music as a mod if it meant getting a higher PP modifier to their play. It felt like a toxic environment where nothing but numbers mattered, and flexing was more important than playing together for fun. But that's just my thoughts on that. I've been enjoying the game much more now in the 1 1/2 years I've been playing lazer for. And when they decide to turn PP on for lazer, who knows if I'll be performing better or worse than the old scores I used to post. The important thing is that I've had fun playing more, and that can't be said for everyone who's tried playing more as a means to some kind of skill-based end.
currently on a break after playing the 2nd most i ever played in any month, however, these tips do work, i started doing so many different things and simply stopped caring about rank, 2 months later, i went from 33k to 10k, my best improvement ever. so honestly the best tip is just dont play for rank at all, it ruins you mentally and just drains you.

Raw input actually makes tablet cursor stuck in the corner of your screen, and OpenTablet driver isn't meant to be used with it anyway. Make sure your cursor is at 1x as well if you're playing with a tablet. With a mouse, it's potentially bad to have your sensitivity above 1x because it interpolates your inputs. Play at the star level you feel most comfortable with but aren't too consistent with FCing or getting at least a decent accuracy. i dont play very many times a year, think im at like, 13 for this year total days logged in, and i drink when i play, but, i find i enjoy the game just trying to beat songs that i cant beat yet, and if i fail, try 1 or 2 more times, then move on. the game is much more enjoyable when your not worried about your rank for sure. and even between the drinking and not playing as much, i do still improve abit, just by pushing myself each time i do play :)

I think Osu! IS a good a trainer IF you’re practicing tracking and calm aim. There’s no real good aim trainer for flicking, every game plays differently. You just have to focus and play that game a lot.

also for fps players playing osu, dont play osu. play mcosu because in mods you can do FPoSu and it turns osu into 3d instead of 2d
i dont play very many times a year, think im at like, 13 for this year total days logged in, and i drink when i play, but, i find i enjoy the game just trying to beat songs that i cant beat yet, and if i fail, try 1 or 2 more times, then move on. the game is much more enjoyable when your not worried about your rank for sure. and even between the drinking and not playing as much, i do still improve abit, just by pushing myself each time i do play :)
I really wish I saw this video 3 years ago. Amazing video 👏
HIS PILLOW AS A MOUSE PAD DOES BETTER AND IS MORE SMOOTH THAN MY 20 YEAR OLD TABLE THAT'S ON THE VERGE OF BREAKING
2:07 but like how am I suppose to play properly when my mouse breaks down every 5 second
2:52 THANK YOU BROROROROROORR
as for me i get a lot of tantrums i go crazy but osu is my peace garden it's like literally the most peaceful game to me and i like improving in osu but i'm not like a crackhead addicted to the game just chilling for 15 min i've always liked rythm games and i really don't give a damn if i make a mistake .d that's the reason it's the only game i don't get tantrums
I don't really know if changing offset is the way to play, I mean, if you tap too early or to late, you have to correct your gameplay... Anyway, nice vid!
I have turned off my hitsounds a while ago and got much better because they kept distracting me lol
I felt so called out when he showed the graph 11:53
i stopped playing osu for 5 months and came back and had way more fun with the game!
why did the wall photo make me laugh my humor is rip
its 4:27
2:40 i normaly play only osu mania cuz my mouse sucks it keeps randomly stopping work or going to a random direction without i move it to this direction and this is really anoying, and to help my aim is bad too
5:00 that tip is good but dificult too, i play rhythm games like osu for 3 years now and i feel that the only way i can start to pass more dificult thing is by changing my keys that is ghy on the left hand and j on the right (yeah very weird) to smth more comum like zxnm but doing this i just cant coordinate my hands anymore
i was always playing hddt, but after i reached my ceiling, i started playing hd/hdhr xd
"Sorry mouse players"
As a mouse + kb player, help
When I remove the FPS cap, hitting notes in mania becomes 15 times harder. When I block FPS again everything becomes normal. (p.s. my monitor is 60hz)
SO THAT HOW I WASNT ABLE TO FC BALLISTICS THAT PART AND TARGET PRACTICE OMF
Where is sound?
as a VERY new osu player i will take this info and use it to get better.
11:10 that is useful when i keep lagging in their pc! (in piso net!)
Use claw grip and use your wrists.
FGSky gave me all the motivation I needed
Even thought I’m a top 50k mania player this helped out and tomorrow if I have time I’m gonna learn 7k :/
I think Osu! IS a good a trainer IF you’re practicing tracking and calm aim. There’s no real good aim trainer for flicking, every game plays differently. You just have to focus and play that game a lot.
i love osu i went from 1.2m to 700k in 2 days i love sircle game
This was really enjoyable thanks for your efforts
i once farmed rather than gained skill. rapidly increased in rank, but at the cost of trash acc, trash consistency, trash reading, etc.
i have not increased my rank since. 2 years have passed. my skill has increased by at least a dozen times over. is... my training arc over? can i finally gain... pp?
btw you can use the `/~ key to retry :))
i got "old" osu content nostalgia
11:53, i never saw my graph like this, for some reason
so many information in such a short video. Like
12:21 never play vinxis' maps, they are cursed for eternity
