Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!
Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."
The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."
Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."
Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."

I love how the Unique Access entertainment interviews are about the music not about the bullshit.
We're glad you enjoy our interviews, @Benko678. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
Lost In Tha System is one of my favorite cuts on the album. I remember being blown away when I heard it for the first time.
It's a powerful cut for sure, @kevinjenkins692. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
After 30 years
Man I could listen 2 JD talk all day ..even his convos are BARS .. always wanted 2 Kno what they were on wit Guerillas N the Mist Ain't a Danm thang changed tha Triflin album You better ask somebody+ Death Certificate albums..no other west coast albums sound like those 5 KLASSICKS
Agreed on all fronts, @mikemr..3602. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
MAN THAT WHOLE LYNCH MOB ALBUM WAS A CLASSIC. NO SKIPS NEEDED. SLEPT ON FORREAL
Agreed on all fronts, @prezocarter1520. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Ive always wandered how Da Lench Mob went from a big kru to just 3 on the album, thank you for asking these intrinsic questions, the history is so deep and all the puzzles start being put together when you hear J Dee explain all the details, he explains very well
You're welcome, @big_draws. We're glad you enjoyed the interview. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I really wish the original Da Lench Mob (J Dee, Short Dogg and T Bone) did another album, their first album was iconic til this day, second album with different kru although great just didn't have the same energy and fire as the first
Because JDee wasn't there
So do we, @big_draws. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Indeed, @ravenaider. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
The second album was good as well just didn't carry the magnitude of when guerillas in the mist dropped. The new formation was good the old one (incl J Dee) was westcoast rap excellence exemplified
JDEE WENT IN 😢 (Prison)
Guerrilla’s in the mist is top 10 west coast album of all time 👍
It's a classic for sure, @Divingfennapapa. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Lost in the System is still played in my rotation 🫡
It's a classic cut, @KT-cc1eq. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I wanted a gangster album from Lench Mob, too. Could've snuck it in between "Kill at Will" & "Death Certificate". Anything after May of 1992 was going to be more politically charged because of the L.A. riots. Wish MC Ren had dropped a debut solo album earlier, also. He still would've had Dre on production and more of tha "If it Ain't Ruff" stylish Ren than what he sounded like on "Kizz My Black Azz"
We hear you, @CelebrateLifeOriginal-om6ip. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
WE COULD HAVE BEEN THE WU TANG CLAN OF THE WEST COAST B4 THE WU ✌🏾🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
Ya'll put it down, @j-deelenchmob150. We appreciate your insight. Thanks for the great interview & for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Yomo & Maulkie album released on Ruthless. The beat to Fo tha love of money was used again by Bone, though.
Indeed, @penny1ct. Dr. Dre used the beat again on his "Compton" album. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Lord have mercy one of the least talked about cuts on the album.had a great message as the other ones.
Agreed, @rajaeenabawi6066. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
"Lost In The System" should be mandatory on everyone's playlist EVERY FRIDAY MORNING imo. 💯
"Attitudeediddly" tho, 😁😂🤣 now that's a new one Mr. Baker!
Yes & yes, @tonewest211. It's a great song & #SorenBaker had us laughing with that one. Thanks as always for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Man I still rock that album guerrillas in the mist. I told people that they blame nwa for the gangster rap but when cube was there it was a revolutionary vibe that cube always had. When he left you could see the difference. Another amazing fact is cube did the production
Agreed on all fronts, @godscience7821. Thanks as always for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
The pride of AFRICA!!!!!
Indeed, @TyjuanWatkins-ir8ej. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
But they realised, by causing, conflict and divisions. Sold more records. Word, it's absurd. It damn right, out of order, man.😢😢😢😢😢
that album was "in your face"! Nothing to say after that about that album...CLASSIC!!!!
FUNKY DEE..LMAO crazy how we get our handles
Agreed, @marcuslane3. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
I still say that one of the HARDEST RAP SONGS EVER IS "BUCK THE DEVIL"!!!!!!! THAT SHIT IS SPLENDID!!!!! Ninjas are terrified of Rap songs like DAT, Why, because they're in love with the Devil.
Guerillas in the mist dope track and video.
Definitely, @robertcampbell1544. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Peace and blessings
Salutes
Much appreciated, @beenfrank. Thanks as always for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I think the message got people feelings touched because they wasn’t ready for it and cube wanted black hero’s to get The same respect like Ali
Makes sense, @koolkev75. Thanks as always for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
💯
All day, @IamBOGARDSTYLEZ11. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.

both lench mob albums are great to me
Agreed, @curtissly439. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that Dopeman was an anti drug song
It is the ultimate anti-drug song, @kevinjenkins692. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
War as a social consruct=deviency as a social construct. I wanted to write my thesis on it. So now , I'm writing my PHD on. CULTURAL DISPLACEMENT =IMMIG+MIGRATION.🎉🎉🎉🎉AND I DONT, THEORD WILL, PERSEVERE. ❤❤❤
Sounds like an interesting PHD project, @JoanneBeechey-pp7bf. Thanks as always for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
"eazy dropped him", see how they didnt say ice cube left the group. ice cube probably told them that, so it made it look like eazy did cube dirty. when in fact ice cube was never gonna sign, he already decided to leave.
Interesting indeed, @Belowone. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Rip shorty ,his solo was very anti cube! Dope though...my favourite lench mob song is always ankle blues....
Da Lench Mob was an incredible group,
@toneclear1878. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
So what did cube want them to make?
A politically-charged album, @shawnmcgee9921. That's why much of the LP is the way it is. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
good stuff! hit me up Bro, let's get Threat on your platform. Left you a few messages.
Sickinnahead Criminally Underrated
Glad you enjoyed it, @QPe323. We replied to your email, but it bounced back. We definitely want to make a Threat interview happen. Let us know. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
