It is clear that orange juice has been mixed with materials and unnatural additives, colors and flavors have been placed on it, because the quantity is sufficient for consumption and for external export. Trade is smart.
The orange juice production process is very modern. The meticulousness in each production stage has created refreshing bottles of orange juice, preserving the natural flavor. I want to drink a refreshing glass right now.

So odd living in USA we never ever get to view the inside of the factories that create the foods that we have to purchase everyday....milk, juices, butter, oils...even salt or pepper. Yea, I know some people can grow and make their own, but not many folks have the land to own a jersey cow or time for milking or making butter, nor the climate for growing fruit trees.
Reason is not much of our food made in the USA anymore. 80 % is imported just your dairy line pork, beef and sausage and cold cuts and snack and candy. and fast food industry
*It's quite curious being in the USA - we rarely glimpse inside the factories behind our everyday foods. From milk to spices, it's a unique perspective. While some can produce their own, constraints like space and time make it a challenge for most*
So what they don’t tell you here is how long they keep the concentrate in bats for and by the time they start to use it they end up adding flavour and colours in some cases.
WOW! The colour of the juice changed magically. From yellowish to a bright orange by the time it reached the bottle. Didn't even look like the same thing. Sugar, water, preservatives, artificial colour... why didn't you show us adding any of those?
@@stanmans nope. that's not lighting. that's added beta-carotene. Apparently humans are not so attracted to that yellow hue of fresh orange juice. Probably a defense mechanism considering that it is highly acidic and melts your teeth. But we like the smell of the rind so we get the color of the rind to keep us happy :)
this video was super informative and really made me appreciate the process behind fresh orange juice! but honestly, i wonder if all that processing really beats just squeezing a fresh orange at home. i mean, the taste might be fresher and healthier that way, right? what do you guys think?
*This orange juice is my absolute favorite; I have it regularly. I especially love "lots of pulp," but unfortunately, we can't find it here in Michigan. I inquired about setting some aside, but they mentioned it wasn't possible.*
Watching this process makes me not want to buy packaged orange juice because of the method of extracting juice by smashing the entire orange.. I prefer to squeeze the juice and the pulp using my juicer so I don't ingest the insecticide chemicals from the outer skins of the oranges...
Err, guess you didn't watch the video closely enough. All the oranges were prewashed before they were crushed into juice. The only insecticide you ingest is the filthy insecticides on your hands when you don't wash them before you eat, rub your eyes, pick nose, and use your fingers to taste test the spaghetti sauce on the stove. How many times have you seen guys just walk out of the restroom without washing their hands after taking a shit or piss? That's the insecticide you really need to worry about in life. Orange juice made this way is perfectly fine. There's many government health & safety standards in play here. There's more deadly germs and insecticides on door handles and on your own cell phone. Leave Orange juice alone.
If you watched this video, how did you miss the 4 stage washing process before they even got sorted for size? Of course you can stay home and squeeze about 6 oranges to get one glass of juice. Your choice.
it's great for the industry, but imagine pasteurizing your fruit juice at home. great for profits and access, but you should actually eat real fruit and not flash boiled fruit. the only reason they need to "sterilize" it is because they could potentially keep the juice for days, which could turn into alcohol, maybe grow mold, etc. but in turn they destroy enzymes and create simple sugars, not to mention whatever they add to the juice to make it look/taste better.
Unless you actually there then you are strictly guessing. Maybe your comment would be cleared up if you read the ingredients that are controlled vigorously by the FDA
