In some cases, the term may indicate lowering the quality of a product or its ingredients while the price remains the same.

I love Parle products & I still eat Poppins. They now have kaccha mango bite sweets, which just rock. What I especially love about Parle-G is that whatever little amount of money you have, you can still buy it - as low as Rs 2 to Rs 60 to even $5. Even today for most people, chai time, trekking, sports competitions, trips, journeys, pilgrimages, travel, studies, exams are all incomplete without Parle-G!! In fact we advise patients to also carry a small packet with them in case their glucose levels dip. It's synonymous with India, (like Amul) And as Rahulji pointed out there will hardly be a place in India where you may not get this brand. It's ubiquitous, like the Indian Postal System!! (@RahulMalodia, please do a case study of Indian Postal System - with which even banking got coupled - there is nothing of this magnitude in the world). Thank you for all your videos. I was staying in santa cruz n traveling to work towards there the smell of biscuit was so strong that even the sleeping person use to getup and use today now in 2 mins Andheri station will come to was so strong I use to buy the broken biscuit from there they had the store.
