- We decided to cast a bottle of the Nelk Boys' favourite drink for fun, we also delivered the river rock countertop in Edmonton, and we poured multiple tables and art pieces.

Seeing the atmosphere of the landscape what else would you put in that space but a river rock countertop, it makes sense.
Loved the final assembly for the river rock countertop!! I think the concept of casting different objects in resin could easily be a new niche revenue stream for y’all!!! The potential (as I see it) is enormous. I think once you perfect the technique and are able to make it crystal clear, it could be great for y’all!!

The corona bottle was just something for fun for the Nelk Boys because they have been waiting for us to be able to deliver their table because of the travel restrictions cause of corona, so it's like a thank you for them being patient! 😄
What is the bottom surface that you pour onto made of?

Did you glue the beer bottle down? If not didn't it want to float?
We did not, the glass and liquid kept it heavy enough to prevent it from floating!

Great video, I would've used smart LED lights instead of the controller one. Still looks nice though.
I love the videos every week, but what if you did an episode per each piece, I think the consistency and satisfaction of watching a project from begging to end would be pretty successful, just a thought. Honestly loving the channel tho so keep up the great work!

id have drilled the bottom drained the beer and filled it with Carona colored resin myself (a little clear first then the pale yellow so it still looked filled)

You shold have suspended 2020 in it above the bottle on all 4 sides!! Corona 2020

What was that white sheet you placed under the river rock table love it also when you cnc the tables do leave some epoxy on the top of the wood or do you cnc down to the wood?
Would there have been a downside to doing the bottle pour in 2? since it’s pure clear would you be able to see a seam between the two layers?
If possible I would love to purchase the Corona bottle if u put that n production with a blue base vs. the red ??

You should have poured a final flood coat to make it shiny. It’s still really cool but I like it more glossy.
Would putting the bottle in a vacuum chamber help with the bubbles.
Really surprised you guys don’t use some kind of vacuum chamber to get the bubbles out. Does it not work on that epoxy?
this brand of epoxy gets rid of its own bubbles. I love working with it.
Very expensive river rock table with a $30 led strip kit, but it looks sooo good with the leds turned on!
So easy to degas such small epoxy pours in a vacuum chamber eh. Blessings!

What epoxy do you use to pour that deep? I thought the deep pour only did 2’’.
We used our Deep, you 2" is what's recommended but if you go extra lengths to keep it cool you can pour way thicker!
So i have a bottle of home made wine from my cousins wedding. Its about to be their 15th anniversary, and i would like to do this for them with their wine bottle... any idea what size vacuum chamber i would need to get in order to get all the bubbles out?

I was expecting the bottle to start floating at one stage. How did you manage to keep it in place?
The weight of the glass itself kept it from floating!
To get the bubbles off just have a vacuum suck the bubbles out
What is the blue tape you use on your side pieces so the resin doesn’t stick?
Tuck Tape, Tyvek tape also works

They have a video titled “ how we finish our tables” they use Osmo extra thin and polyx most of the time
When you’re sanding a piece, how do you keep it all even?
You just have to pay attention to how much you're sanding and don't stay in one spot too long!

We brand the bottoms of all our tables with our logo

I haven't looked at the price of the 3 liter kit but I'm gonna say it's prob a $100+ knowing them
that table would be so much better with 2 sets of led lights 1 just doesnt cut it i would send that table back all the money spent and its not lit up fully

No! We kept it very cool the whole time luckily!
