After seeing Coenen in race one of mxon, completely impressed. He was passing 450's not with ease but with style.. Like to see him , Geijer, and Prado.in the US

Prado made a huge mistake going to Kawi, he’s going to regret that decision and i guarantee you he has a nightmare in 2025 & beyond on that bike.
If the KTM group let go off De Wolf & the Coenens and don’t secure them a ride in the US thats one of the biggest fumbles i will have ever seen

MXGP needs to change if they want to keep their riders . Especially for the longevity of the sport. Herlings has been speaking facts all season tbh. The organizers need to make the track safer , and I don’t really mean on track. but the cables and the accessories next to it that could seriously injure a rider.
Qually should be by fastest lap time in a qualifying session.
not by a qualifying race that injures it’s athletes . Geerts, Herlings, De Wolf, Renaux, have all been injured during their qualifying races, for only 10 points and gate position for race day.
1-2 hot laps , for timed qualifying.
Would be safer than a 30 minute moto going all out . how many guys have we seen break bones on Saturday who were fighting for a title. It’s happened every year this qualifying system has been in place.
Qualify like they do in the States, or like Bercy superpole, or F1.
(You could still hand out the 10 points or half of that, if you want points for Saturdays events.)

Kind of looks like it is all about the Benjamins. Looks is the key word I am thinking and looks has a lot of meaning when considering MXGP vs AMA.
Yes, money is a big factor with serious coinage available to the right rider in the right series, but every top level rider I have met in more than 50 years around the sport wanted to be in the best series against the best riders. Sometimes it can be difficult to understand as what you consider the best riders or series may differ from what a particular rider thinks. Through the 90's a lot of riders I knew in Europe would have loved to race a decent outdoors season in America but really were not keen on SX. A couple riders who were top 5 in the GPs even mentioned as to how the SX tracks scared them due to the short landing areas and lack of forgiveness. Today however with so mnay tracks kind of being outdoor SX tracks the difference has narrowed quite a lot so only really the ability to push from the gate drop rather than sitting back to push the past 15 or 20 (Think Herlings).
Even though I prefer GPs or any outdoors to SX, the state of MXGP - the way they run things and the tracks makes the series less desireable if other options are open. Prado will do well in both American series. Coenen I expect would perform better than de Wolf on the SX tracks and both similar outdoors.

I cant help but think they would retain their riders better if they had more spectators at races.Too many rounds looked almost empty.
It cant feel good going to a far off place and only have TV cameras as evidence anyone cares

I wonder whats the logic going to shitty tracks without spectators in Turkey or Indonesia when there are several good tracks in central europe where there is no problems to fill the stands or gates.
"Growing the sport" by going places where no one is intrested sounds a bit naive.
