Hey everyone! Just wanted to add a quick note about this video. First, I wanted to share that this project is all about managing the water discharge from my utility shed effectively. The goal is to prevent any water buildup and protect my space. Second, if you have any questions about the process or tips on similar projects, feel free to ask! Thanks for watching
Hey Thompson. Great idea for the drainage. Thought you were going to lose an eye drilling the holes. Eeek! Love the backhoe. What a handy machine. Bummer cutting the pipe too short but you figured it out! Cool E-trike!
@@lorettaandjasonoffgrid Hey thanks yeah so far it’s working great. I like the back too too bad. I couldn’t keep it lots more holes to be dug. The pipe was a little short, but all worked out in the end Eric works pretty good. Thanks. I appreciate it.
thanks we’re making progress slowly, but surely the trike is going to come in very handy around here. I will spend the way less on gas for my four wheeler so far it is holding up. It is pretty rugged around here and it’s doing well. Thanks for stopping in. I really do appreciate it.
Great idea for your grey water 👍, Hey man that is a pretty cool bike :) I could put a fuel can in the back & run to the store ! might have to build a bigger shop so I have room :) It will be handy around your homestead , Have an awesome evening
@@littlegriffoffgridalberta6837 thanks Don so far it’s working great. The bike works really well. My only problem is I don’t even have a shop yet to put it in lol working on it though it is going to be handy for sure. Thanks man. Have a great evening.
The soak away looks good... I have people do soak aways with plants. Not sure if that is something you can do in your climate (maybe in the warmer times you can divert the water to some plants and in winter lead it to your soak away...
Like the bike, I think mountain bike type wheels would be a great improvement. I am a tad concerned that the drum could begin to sink if the ground becomes saturated, that is if the water sits and doesn't slowly run away. I was expecting you to dig a drainage field, be interesting to see how it goes over a couple of years.
@@alpinealpine2793 I agree the mountain bike tire would be an improvement. I am hopeful that it won’t because most of the ground is good size gravel and rock, but that’s not to say it won’t becausesnd does dissipate through the rock with water. The only good thing is it’s mainly just for a washing machine so it’s not constant fingers crossed, though it works , thanks for stopping in. I appreciate it.

When I was younger (30 yrs ago) I used the barrel drainage thing. Worked great. Snow makes for a sloppy mess. Take care & have a Merry Christmas.
