Wow, amazing job. I can’t believe you built that in one day determination for sure. Sorry about your fingers. Looking forward to see how you finish it on the inside. Thanks for bringing us along.
@@CassandraCocar thanks it was a pretty amazing day for sure and it helps having someone who knows framing the next few videos are going to be pretty good. I think thanks for your continuous support.
Thank you it was a tough day, but we did push through. I paid close attention and put some solution on to keep infection out, but I did pay close attention to it.
@ unfortunately not too many things to do around here lol fingers are healing nice except for the one that I split the bone a little sore and tender, but slowly coming along
Wow, that’s impressive! Building a winter room in just one day shows some serious skill and determination. Looks like a perfect cozy setup for the cold months! 💖
@@DayInParadise thanks it was a pretty good day for sure. Once we get the stove and insulate it. It’s going to be pretty nice. I hope. Thanks for watching.
Awesome man you guy's did great job 👍, If you do a good job skirting I'd leave that space open by the trailer the heat from the wood stove will keep it warm so nothing freezes under the trailer :) Ouch I put a nail right through the middle same two I chopped with the saw when I was building walls for my cabin lol, Hurt for a long time but had to just keep building, Famous words don't get in a hurry ! Take care
I was thinking the same thing about leaving it open, but it’s pretty darn drafty. I don’t think it will work in -20 although I did pick up a diesel heater to put down there it never fails when you’re in a hurry stupid things happen.
Good thing Jeff was there. Next time when you’re doing a project slow down just just a little bit and you won’t have accidents. You were in too much of a hurry slow down for safety reasons. Have a blessed day.
@@TomTammyOffGridHomestead yes that’s the surprise I picked up in town that is going to save me a ton of money. It is crazy expensive to get gravel out here. Almost $600 per load yeah my one finger where the nail went into the bone is still pretty sore thanks for watching.
@@exploringmybackyard how many yards can that trailer haul? My issue was at about 5 tons (4535.9237 kilograms) the tires on my truck would slip up hill. Problem was traction.
Great question if it was going to be a permanent situation absolutely but this is for one winter only as I’m building a cabin in the spring, this is just a quick temporary solution for the winter. Thanks for the question.
On the fifth wheel side, I didn’t want it too much higher because it’s a bigger gap to close and keep whether out this is only temporary until spring when I build my cabin
@@mariobestic138 as it’s a temporary roof as well I won’t be using tin I’ll be using a single type material so I will most likely have to shovel it off anyway so it’s a little extra work, but I’m trying to keep the cost down as it’s a temporary room.
Great job on the addition; you guys knocked it out in time for winter!❤
@@mattandmouse thanks we sure did. I don’t know about you guys, but we got just about a foot of snow over the last couple of days.
@ we’ve had a dusting of snow; 1/2 inch of nice powder. I know the rest is coming soon !

@@geoffthomas8032 lol I couldn’t believe it either👊😂
It’s so nice working with someone that knows how to frame. It seems easy but when you work with an experienced framer it so must faster!

You definitely are buff to be able to push through, but I worry about infection setting in. The build is awesome!

Just a quick question : is it safe to have the fridge vent out into the new room? Won’t it cause a build up of Carbon monoxide?
Great question that’s actually not the vent that is just access to the unit. The actual vent is on the roof.
