Nice guide. Don't forget the Mordus Legion rats that drop the Mordus Legion ship bpcs. They only spawn in lowsec. The frigate can be soloed by almost anything (drops the Garmur bpc). The Cruiser is a lot tougher. Don't try to kill it unless your ship is well tanked and put out decent dps. It drops the Orthrus bpc, though. If you encounter the battleship, just run. They all scram you btw. Another thing I do while rating in lowsec is I loot the battleships and battlecruisers and reprocess the loot for minerals. After a while i collect the loot in a hauler. Just a little extra income.
I actually saw their cruiser once, i managed to kill it but didn't have the presence of mind to hit that record button to get it in a video. Pretty rare spawns from what I can tell
OK, amongst the many errors in this video is one huge one when it comes to belt ratting. The narrator comes across a low value spawn, says it's not worth his time and warps off.... How exactly are you going to get anything better to spawn if you don't kill the crap spawns???? I mean I know some people just jump through endless systems looking for that one good spawn but someone who is new to belt ratting in low will die doing that in a vexor lol. If you want more chance of getting high value Mordhu's and clone soldier spawns then find a small quiet pocket of a few 0.1 or 0.2 low sec systems and learn it like the back of your hand, make safes ect. Then relentlessly smash everything in the belts over and over again. Vexors are kind of meh for doing this. Really you want something fast and agile with high dps. Stabbers work really well and once you have got enough money and skill points you can move up to the real King of the belts, the Cynabal. The Cynabal is one of the best belt ratters due to its high dps, agility, speed and warp speed bonus. The high dps let's you kill rats fast, the speed helps you dictate distance, the agility means fast align times and the warp speed bonus means you save time warping. All of this adds up to a ship with great hit and run ability, which for belt ratting is what you want 😉
Have u got fits for both the stabber and the cynabal? I'm wanting to try belt ratting and I heard drones were good cause u can afk rat, but I'm skilled mostly into mimatar and both ships uv mentioned I can train up in a day or so.
It you want to make a profession out of LS Ratting, DED, etc, just train into a Stratios or another Covert Cloaked ship with at least 400 DPS. It will give you so many options to play in LS and Null. I've yet to be caught in LS with a covert cloaked ship during my 10 years of playing. Almost always got caught over time in a non-covert, mostly at camps.
Don't trust dcan 100%, combat recon ships will not show like the Curse and will not help against covert ops cloaked ships like the Stratios. In a belt never stay at warp in point, burn off if you warped in at 0 km, stay aligned to a station or citadel and keep moving, that's the best way to stay "safe" ratting.
There is no way to stay safe on the belts with enemy in the systems. I will catch this guy 100 out of 100 times. Why there are not many targets like this in our systems :(
Staying aligned with a station or point does NOT make you enter warp any faster at all, it is a MYTH. The *ONLY* way to speed up an align is to not only ALIGN with the point, BUT you must be moving exacty towards that point (if your vector of travel is NOT exactly aligned, the speed will not be any faster at all). In fact, you can face 180 degrees away from a station and it will take the same amount of time to warp. You definately have to be moving, but if you are not moving in the aligned direction there is no fast align. Why do people keep this myth going?
@@WyMustIGo I agree 100%. But with my experience, each time I have warped off to a safe and align to a next point, my ship automatically starts moving in the aligned direction making the warp off if required almost instant. Only way it won't work is if you manually stop your ship, in my opinion. Fly safe.
I am an Alpha (3 months in) and I average about 500 to 800 mil loot per week ratting in LS in an Incursus frigate. All clones are not a problem including transporters and battleships. Takes a little longer to kill them but once I am under their guns, I take zero damage orbiting at about 1,300 mtrs (optimal for my blaster fit). Only issue is gankers, I lost a couple of ships when I started ratting in LS mainly due to not understanding the correct use of d-scan and the importance of WATCHING local and creating safe spots. Since getting that under the belt, I have never been caught again. Started with T1 fit and once skilled properly, I now run a T2 fit with about 200 DPS. Just to illiterate what a good fast, small sig radius frigate can do, I accidentally engaged a Mordu's special warfare unit commander (not having a clue what it was other than it's a battleship...lol) and I killed plenty before. I was locked webbed and scrammed. I was orbiting under his guns, no way out and just kept shooting. Took me almost 35 minutes but I surprisingly broke his shield and eventually got the kill and a Barghest BPC for my incredibly ignorant and LUCKY effort. Never underestimate the power of a frigate :)
@@conq.mane1725 hey no problem man, I am sure more experienced players will have a more refined fit. This fit is for ratting not for PVP as I don't bother with a web or a scram...no need. With clones, never approach directly, they will melt you. Manually pilot in with a spiral, AB on and repper on, you will get hit but the damage is manageable. Once in orbit range AB off. My orbit is set at 1000m, with the AB off I orbit virtually on my blasters optimal range at 1350m. I generally pop my AB off once I am under 10km range and hit orbit. Clones will hit you in your orbit but intermittently. Just pulse the repper when needed to manage cap. Battleships, I don't bother spiraling in to orbit range, the frigates sig radius is too small for BS's to track effectively. Once in orbit under their guns, they never hit me again. Drone is just for pirate frigates, it pretty much takes care of them while I concentrate on the bigger ships. Use a drone specific for damage to the pirates you are fighting of course. I fight Serpentis (kinetic/thermal). Your skills on CPU and Power Management need to be skilled to L5 otherwise you will have issues with power grid and CPU. Thebluewind3 I have not tried this as alpha. I thought at least a few ranks of heavy drones were open for you but if that is not the case this would be much harder. It is probably possible but you would need a different ship.
I am pretty sure alpha clones in gallente can do heavy drones up to lvl3
Just a small problem with that theory, I can´t train "heavy drone operation"
The Catalyst rarely lets me down when ratting in lowsec. I kill everything btw.
We all do except this guy
That fit is not that good to be honest.. For newbros

This badboy can easily do low level anoms, belts and all sorts of madness to make you stone cold cash-ISK. With decent drone skills you can make up to 10 million every 20 minutes in this little ship! As you can see, the skills needed to fly these beasts can be trained in only a week and a half. And remember - every point of SP that goes into this shop helps in skilling towards a Vexor Navy Issue and Ishtars!
can i use this fitting with an alpha account? and is the 10 day training time with an alpha account?
Not with an alpha. Fuel conservation is Omega only.
im omega now XD. decided not to do vni ratting, exploration is making me 100mil an hour
100mil if you are lucky. I've had day's where I would walk away with 1+ bill for a few hours, then weeks with nothing. Join a wormhole corp, Running combat anomilies in a C5 can net you about 150mill an hour and you just sit there watching Netflix.
okay honest opinion, i dont like it, i have tested it several times and it failed me, the rep cant keep up with the damage at all from the clone rat. It might not be intendet to kill it but its in hull after 20 seconds of a fight. It may also be my skills, not sure.
These are the people I hunt in low and null. I know you are doing this to be informative but, don't let people know where you are doing this.
lol i know the uemon system that guy goes to, legit death zone, i've lost a ship there, this guy must have been logged on at a time where no one else was there.
fit?

thank you and thanks for the video really helps out.
Realhitvz How do you have 600 dps for the two turrets?? I have three of those on right now with the same charges and I only get 135 dps.
@@skinnymarauder333 its the drones
Ha, while watching this, I was ratting in a system just 2 jumps from you
The epithal is not bait, it is most likely in a pos, also you forgot to pick Up your "expencive" drones
Microwarpdrive it's oversize
Terrible terrible fit...
Waste of time
How the FUCK are you doing EVERYTHING wrong, but still manage to dare fly a faction cruiser? What the fuck.
1. Please. Press "V" to run a directional scan. Don't actually use your mouse button to click the "Scan" menu item. Fucking hell.
2. Speaking of which - you can use the Control-key on your keyboard to lock targets. Don't right-click them or use the Selected Item menu...
3. The reason you see traffic passing through is because the system is part of a highway and the gates that are being used are outside of your scan range
4. The industrial ship is sitting at a starbase.
Thank you for your incompetence.
